Chapter 7: Helping Hands

Uraraka POV - short chapter.

She had been absolutely wasted the night before, so when she awoke in an unfamiliar bed with only half her clothes on, she started to panic. What had happened and where in the actual earth was she? With a slight panic, she sat up to figure it out but alas she was in a fucking room she'd never seen before. There were some go awful pink and purple tie dye curtains hanging across a large bay window. The bed was large enough to fit six people and was covered with a hot pink galaxy bedspread. On the floor was plush, yellow mat that almost looked good enough to sleep on. It was all very eclectic but somehow worked. It definitely wasn't her taste though. It was much too extravagant for that.

Looking over to the door, a costume caught her eye and she instantly let out a breath of relief. A purple and turquoise body suit was precariously hung on the hook there, indicating that this room belonged to Mina. That still didn't explain why she was half naked. Struggling to her feet, she Uraraka went in search of her belongings. On the chair in the corner was her dress that smelled like it had been dipped in a brewery. It was quite the smell and definitely explained why she was no longer wearing it. With a sigh, she pulled on a pair of shorts and an oversized shirt that had been left on the end of the bed and stumbled into the hallway.

Mina was lounging with her feet on Kaminari's lap and sipping on what looked to be a hot chocolate as the blonde massaged her calves. They always had a weirdly in sync relationship, to the point that Uraraka had secretly questioned it as more when they had been in high school but then Kaminari had gotten weird about asking people and Mina had openly dated a number of people both men and women.

"Oh there she is!" Mina practically squealed when she noticed Uraraka standing there awkwardly at the door. "Coffee's in the kitchen, then come pull up a seat babe, there's a lot to discuss and digest from last night." With a slight nod of the pounding head, she did was she had been told to do and made her way back to the lounge room.

"I'm just not game enough to go home right now, even though they're probably still asleep." Kaminari was chattering away happily, not one sign of a hangover. Uraraka felt like her head was about to smash open with the headache she was sporting. "Knowing my luck I'll walk in on them doing it on the new couch I just bought."

"I still can't believe it took them this long." Mina agreed, eyes flicking back to her. "Speaking of which. Ochako dear, time to spill."

"Yeah!" Kaminari chimed, suddenly realising she had walked back into the room. "Did you seriously sleep with Bakugo?"

"I uh..." The heat spread to her face quickly at the question. "I mean, yeah. Once. We both had bad days and it kind of just happened."

"What was it like?" Mina prompted with an excited glint in her eyes. "Is he good or is he just massively compensating for something given his loud, angry personality?"

"Let's just say, Kirishima is a very lucky man." The hollering from the other two was worth the admission and it made her smile.

"Is he gentle?" Kaminari dared to ask, probably out of curiosity more than anything. "Or did he just throw you around all sexily."

"It was... passionate." She decided on. "Like, not gentle but not too rough either. It was just heat and desperation."

"Did he kiss you?" It was back to Mina, who seemed to be hanging onto her every word. "If it were me, I would have kissed you."

"He did." It was confirmed as the look made her a little tingly on the inside. "He's a very good kisser."

"So is this what you and Midoriya were fighting about then?" Mina prompted causing Uraraka to turn beet red.

"Yeah." It was an easy concede as Kaminari yawned and stood to stretch.

"I hate to love and leave you both," He mused for a second, clearly sensing this was about to turn into a chat he neither wanted to have nor cared about. "But I think I'm going to brave the two at home. I most definitely have to pay them out about it." And just like that they were left alone and looking at one another curiously.

"So you broke up with him last night." Mina state bluntly causing Uraraka to blink a few times as the memories hit her. They weren't pleasant. There had been crying and yelling and attempted emotional manipulation. There had been confusion and begging and then more yelling. When had it turned into such a toxic relationship? She couldn't pin point it and as sad at it was, she was also incredibly relieved that she didn't have to pretend to be someone she no longer was anymore.

"It was a long time coming." She finally admitted, staring at the ground and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm not the same person I was back in high school and he couldn't deal with that. I think he's also changed. He's got a lot of pressure to be who he is and he can't fit me into his life anymore, as much as we both tried."

"What's really going on with you, girl?" Mina prompted, staring at her quizzically. "You're sexy as all hell and have some serious confidence, but you're really sad."

"I just don't know how to deal with this anymore." It was the truth of the matter. "I feel alone and isolated. I don't sleep, I have nightmares. I am terrified of going to work sometimes and end up in a panic. Izuku kept telling me to sleep it off, it's just stress... but I honestly think it's starting to impact my life and I don't know what to do."

"You sound like you need some decent support." Mina clarified easily. "I know you probably have seen someone, but I have a therapist friend that's awesome with this kind of stuff. She also has a great body and we were seeing each other for a bit, so she always takes my referrals."

"Maybe I should go back to someone." She agreed with sadness. "Maybe the new perspective will help."

"In the meantime, you totally can come hang out with me." Mina chirped, suddenly bounding over to her and pressing a kiss to her cheek. "I swear to god, girl, you deserve everything." It was nice to hear and maybe this would be the first step in getting better. She needed this level of support more than she knew.
