》Minho《
❀ ~Request~ ❀
| Part 2 |
You and Minho walked back to the tree, hand in hand. Well, that's what you planned to do. But then Minho insisted on taking you a little further, because it had gotten so dark.
"Today was a lot of fun." You stated, smiling up at Minho. He hummed in response, as you recalled the past two hours.
You and Minho walked through the building, looking carefully at every feature put up. You talked and talked for what seemed like hours, telling Minho all the little facts you knew about the solar system. He listened attentively, nodding occasionally to let you know he was listening.
From time to time you would have walked in silence, taking in the beauty of the displays surrounding you both. But not once was it ever awkward, it was always a comfortable silence. That's is, until Minho took it upon himself to tease you. You noticed he did that a lot, and you'd be lying if you said you didn't like it. Although you whined quite a bit, you secretly liked it more than you let on.
"Where's your place?" Minho suddenly asked, bringing you out of your thoughts. You then quickly stopped, noticing just how close you both were to your house now.
"It's quite close....I think this might have to be where we part." You stated, letting out a small sigh.
"We'll have to do this again." Minho stated, as he tightened his grip on your hand a bit, as if making a promise that you would. "Key words being have to."
You giggled lightly at this, as you nodded in agreement. You glanced away, looking towards your house, seeing it wasn't too far away. And once you reached there, it would be clear that your magnificent day had come to it's end. But you really didn't want it to. You wanted the day to continue on for hours, and to stay in Minho's company for a while longer.
You looked back towards Minho, who's eyes instantly locked with yours. He smiled sweetly, as he kept his hold on your left hand. His eyes glanced at your lips, as his free hand went to your face, cupping your cheek. He leaned in closer, your lips only being a few centimeters away. You took a small breath in, as the realisation of what was happening, actually sunk in.
He looked back at your eyes, moving his head a little bit closer, but waiting for your approval. That's when you couldn't wait any longer, and closed the little space between you that was left. You were met with a bliss so sweet, that you just carved more, disregarding the fact that you had only just connect lips mere seconds ago.
You melted into the kiss, as both your lips moved in sync. After what felt like only a second, Minho pulled back, yet still keeping rather close. You opened your eyes, that had involuntarily closed only moments ago. You were met again with the eyes of Minho, this time, showing pure joy, happiness and adoration. You smiled softly, feeling a light blush creep up to your cheeks.
"I should've done that a lot earlier." Minho teased, making you let out a giggle. This moment was so beautiful, and you hoped you would always be able to remember it like this, just as sweet and innocent as it felt.
What could have been the most beautiful moment you had ever experienced, suddenly became quite the opposite. Hearing aggressive footsteps nearing you, you and Minho both looked up, seeing a woman angrily trudge towards you both. Your smile instantly faltered, at the realisation of who it was.
"Minho, you should go." You whispered, quickly looking back at Minho with a worried expression. He was quite confused at the sudden change of tone in your voice. Your heart seemed to ache a little, as you saw Minho's smile slowly fade.
"Young lady! What do you think you're doing out here?" You heard your mother's voice shout. "And who is-
Before your mother continued, she let out a gasp, as if she had seen something truly horrible. Your mother walked quicker towards you, making you feel a sense of panic, knowing well that you weren't supposed to be out here, let alone, with a guy your parents didn't even know.
"I'll text you later, just go." You whispered to Minho, squeezing his hand lightly, as if to let him know you'd be okay. Although he wore a worried expression, he gave you a strong smile, giving you a nod. You then let go of his hand, as you stepped away, letting him go quickly, before your mother wished to speak to him.
You looked back, after hearing footsteps behind you, slowly get quieter. Minho was now further away, while your mother the opposite. You wished you could have given him one last kiss, but you knew it wouldn't be good to do so in front of your mother.
"Do I need to ask you, why you're out here, instead of inside, where you should be?" Your mother basically shouted. "And with that boy?"
"Mum, I'm sorry. I-I can explain." You began, as you followed your mother back to your house.
"Oh trust me, you'll need to do a lot of that." Your mother mumbled, as she walked inside the house. You hung your head low, as you too stepped inside.
"What is this?" The voice of your father came, as he saw you standing at the doorway. "What happened, why were you out?"
"I-I was meeting up with someone...." You manged to say, lifting your head slightly, seeing your mother mutter something to your father. You couldn't make out what it was, but you knew it couldn't be good.
"Just go up to your room, and stay there." Your father suddenly said, with a face of clear disappointment showing.
You nodded your head lightly, knowing it would be best to just do as you were told, rather than to say anything else. You quickly turned away, heading up the stairs as fast as you could. You rushed to your room, and practically jumped on your bed.
You knew you were in the wrong, so obviously, you did feel a little guilty. But you didn't regret it one bit. If you could do it all over again, you would, in a heartbeat. Exept, you might just try and get home a little earlier, so as not to get caught.
You could hear your parents voices raising a little from downstairs. You tried not to pay attention to it, as you really didn't need to know what sort of punishment they had planned. Maybe it would be being grounded for a month....that's probably what it'll be.
You didn't want to listen to it anymore, so you closed the door, and then sat at your desk looking down at the books you left there. There would be no way you'd start on those, you'd rather do anything else. And at almost that exact thought, your phone sounded, showing a notification on the lock screen. You picked up your phone, smiling like a fool as you saw who it was.
You unlocked your phone, and spared no time in pressing the notification. It brought you to your chat log with Minho. And the most recent messages, where the photos of you and Minho. And underneath, a simple two worded text.
I promise.
❀
You suddenly woke up, at the sound of your alarm. You groaned as you reached for it, trying to turn it off. You had completely forgotten to turn it off, as it was the beginning of your midterm break. You put your phone back down, and just lay quietly on your bed.
You stared at the ceiling for a while, before deciding it would be best to get up. Still feeling quite sleepy, it took you a minute or two to really understand that you were waking up. Before that, you were sure you had just been blankly staring at a wall. But to be completely honest, you were so tired, that you didn't even remember.
You then finally decided it was about time you should get up. And so you did, even if that meant you had to go at the pace of a turtle. You were never a morning person anyways.
You managed to find your slippers, after taking some time while looking around. The only reason it had taken you so long, was because you constantly got distracted by your own thoughts, and concentrated more on that than anything else. You wondered how the atmosphere between yourself and your parents would be, after what happened yesterday.
Finally though, after finding the courage to go downstairs, you instantly leaped on the chance, knowing that otherwise, you'd probably just stay in your room until you were sure they had left for work. You slowly made your way down the stairs, thinking about what it was you'd say. You then made it into the kitchen, seeing your father drinking a cup of coffee while scrolling through an article on his phone. Your mother on the other hand, was busy typing away on her laptop, again.
"Mum, Dad. I-" You began, but just stopped. You had no idea what to say, and as your parents looked up at you, you started to feel quite intimated. "I wanted to apologise, for what I did. It was wrong of me, to go behind your back."
"Yes, that was quite a stunt you pulled. We had put a great deal of trust in you. And just so it's clear, I forbid you to speak to that boy." Your mother stated, in a far more calm tone than you had expected. You supposed that last night gave her time to cool down, seeing as she was perfectly fine this morning. However, your heart sank, as your mother uttered those words. You knew there was no use in arguing, because it was clear that your mother had made up her mind.
"Mum, I'm really sorry. I know, I shouldn't have have gone out...." You began, seeing your mother nod in agreement. "And I promise you, I won't ever do that again."
"Oh, I know you won't. You'll be kept in your room, studying more, just like you promised." Your mother added, and you nodded your head lightly. "And let me tell you, you won't want to get anything less than 80%, if you ever want to go hanging around with your friends again."
"And if I do, will you let me see Minho again?" You timidly asked, dearly hoping you would receive the answer you hoped for.
"Certainly not." Your mother stated, as she carried on with what she had been doing. "Now, off you go. Go and change, and then start right into your studies."
You nodded your head lightly, as you walked out of the kitchen, and back up the stairs. You didn't want to think about what your mother had said just now, not yet. You would rather keep on hoping that maybe, she might just change her mind.
❀
It had been a few days now, since the incident. You had kept your word this time, and remained in your room, studying for hours on end. Of course, you had taken a few small breaks to eat, chat with friends....and of course talk for a while with Minho.
Now that you thought about it, Minho seemed to just be in a different category when you thought about him. There was your family, friends, and then Minho. Since it had been about three or so days, since you last saw him, you never really got to ask him any of the questions you had on your mind.
You knew you two weren't strangers, obviously. And, you were more than friends. But then, what did that really make you both? Would you say lovers, even thought you two hadn't really discussed that? You shook your head lightly, getting up from your desk. Maybe later, you could ask him. But for now, you wanted to go and get something to eat.
"Why are there so many boxes?" You asked curiously, as you watched your mother put an ornament into a box, while you made your way down the stairs. That being the only real exercise you could get.
"I'm reorganising...." Your mother stated, as she continued on with what she was doing. "And what are you doing out of your room?"
"I'm just stretching my legs." You stated, as you saw your mother shake her head lightly in response.
"Idling around like that, isn't going to get you top marks." Your mother reminded you, making you sigh loudly in annoyance. All you had been doing, for the past week now (excluding your meet up with Minho), was studying consistently.
After what happened just a few days ago, your parents were furious. Without even offering an explanation as to why you weren't supposed to talk to Minho, they had kept you inside as much as possible, usually to study. They practically had you married to your books by this point.
"If I keep studying like this, my head is going to explode." You mumbled, as you were about to head back up the stairs. Sacrificing your craving for food would be well worth it, if it meant you didn't have to get into another heated debate with your mother.
"If that's what it takes for your marks to soar high, then I guess you'll have to live with it." Your mother replied, showing that she clearly heard what you had mumbled under your breath.
"Can't I just out, for an hour or two? Just to catch up with my friends...." You asked, hoping that maybe just this once, your mother would actually think about how you were feeling.
"And let you meet up with that boy again? Not a chance." She stated, as your father walked in. He seemed to understand the context of the conversation, and stayed in case your mother needed any additional help with scolding you. You know, team work.
"What's even the big deal about going out with him anyways...." You stated, completely fed up with all this secrecy. You still had no idea what they have against him, because as far as you knew, they haven't met him in their lives.
"The big deal, Y/N, is that the boy you have been wasting your time with, is the relation of a family rival." Your mother finally said, as she rolled her eyes, seemingly annoyed at what you had asked.
"Is that really all?" You asked, honestly quite surprised, but not at the same time. Yeah, you were a little bothered by it, but it's not like it hadn't happened before.
"What do you mean, is that really all?" Your father stated, looking quite taken aback by what you said.
"Your father has worked very hard to get to where he is, and to have you fraternizing with the enemy, it's an insult to his work." Your mother began, in quite an angered tone of voice.
"Enemy? I though you said-
"Enemy, rival, they're all the same! Enemy is a far better word, seeing how they completely embarrass our company name, year after year." You father continued on, looking rather displeased to have to admit that. "And that boy is in their family."
"Well if that's the way you're thinking. I would prefer not to be in this family." You snapped, not only surprising your parents, but yourself too. Never once had you snapped at your parents.
"Will you quit being melodramatic!" Your mother sighed loudly, rolling her eyes at you. Sure, your parents had many a time been very lenient in being in touch with how these situations made you feel. But this time, it felt as if there wasn't even a cell in their body that cared.
"Would it really hurt your pride that much, to have me like someone that's a family rival?" You asked, even though you had already guessed the answer. There was silence for a moment, and then, you got your answer.
"Yes." Your parents both said, making you finally give up. What more could you even do? This day really can't get any worse than this....
"Now that we have that out of the way. We do have some news, we were meaning to tell you earlier, but didn't." Your mother stated, changing the topic completely, as if nothing had even been discussed beforehand. "And it might just make this situation a lot easier, for all of us."
"Easier, how?" You asked, quite worried for the answer. You knew that when your parents talk about anything they wanted, they would always push it on you, as if expecting you to agree to it all. So in hearing this, you knew it wasn't going to be good news for you at all.
"We've finally settled the paperwork." Your father explained, as both your parents looked at each other with excitement. "We'll be moving house."
Those few words made your heart sink. You looked down at the ground, as you took in their words. You were moving. All the memories you had made, people you had met, friendships you had built....they'd all be gone. And so would.....
"H-how long have you been planning this?" You asked, hoping that it wasn't an easy escape out of the situation you had created with your parents. But to your dismay, it wasn't.
"A few months now, at least." Your father replied. It wasn't just an impulse decision, meaning there was no way at all, that you could change your parents' minds.
"I guess I should go, and start packing then. Right?" You replied, looking at a box in front of you.
"That's the spirit!" Your mother exclaimed, as she picked up the box you had been looking at, and handed it to you. You took it without uttering a single word, and made your way slowly to your room, thinking about what just happened.
Once you had reached your room, you put down the box and sat on your bed to think. But then, you had an idea. Not one you were proud of, and definitely not one that in any way would help your situation. It would probably make it worse. But now that you had your mind set on it, there was no going back.
You hastily grabbed your phone, and tapped on a contact in it. You put the phone to your ear, hoping the person on the other end would answer. And thankfully, they had.
"Hey!" The voice of Minho greeted, bringing an instant smile to your face. "What's up?"
"Well, I have a bit of a problem. Though, I don't really want to say it over the phone...." You began, hoping Minho would understand, at what you were hinting at.
"Really? And what are planning to do about it?" He teased, wanting you to just say, that you wanted to meet up with him.
"Minho, this is serious." You replied, hearing a hum in response. "How long would it take you to get to the tree, if I were to ask to meet up?"
"Hypothetically speaking, it would take maybe five minutes. Although, isn't that the most stupid idea, seeing as you got caught last time?" Minho stated. He was right, but right now, you had no time to think logically. It was as if your heart had taken control, and now you were doing things in the spur of the moment, not at all thinking about the consequences.
"Who said I didn't have permission to, this time?" You replied, hearing a chuckle on the other end.
"Well if that's the case, I can just meet you at your front door-
"Okay, I get the point." You replied, not even letting him finish, as you heard light laughter once again. "Can you please be there?"
"Of course." Minho replied, and then with a quick goodbye, you ended the call. Excited to get going, you quickly headed to the door. You walked down the stairs, not as skillfully quiet as before, but not loud enough to make your parents peer towards them.
You didn't care too much this time, in being careful. You knew, that either way, you really couldn't get in much more trouble. Plus, you were moving soon, that was punishment enough. So when you opened the door, you didn't even care if your parents heard it closing on your way out.
You ran forward, making your way towards the same tree as last time. But this time, you were the first one there, so you were the one to wait in anticipation for the other's arrival. Like Minho had done, you too lent against the tree, waiting until you saw someone. Well not just anyone, but Minho. Minho, the boy that lives rent free in your mind. The boy, that captivated you from the first moment you saw him.
That same boy, you could now see walking towards you. You leant off the tree, as you walked towards him. You didn't even know what you were doing, and before you knew it, your arms were wrapped around him, in a tight embrace. He seemed a little bit shocked at first, but then hugged you back.
"Are you okay?" He asked in a small voice, as he pulled back enough, just to be able to see your face. You simply shook your head, sighing loudly. "What is it?"
You bit your lip, as you thought of how you would explain this. You hadn't even planned it beforehand, so you had no idea how to even start. As you thought, you felt Minho's finger caress your cheek, as he showed a warm smile. This calmed you down a bit, making you feel more at ease. After letting out a breathy sigh, you inhaled, ready to just spit it out.
"I-I'm moving." You simply said. You did want to say a bit more, maybe add a bit more explaining. But the words didn't come out of your mouth, those two words, was all that you ended up saying.
"Moving?" He repeated, as you nodded your head. "Then that means-
"Exactly." You replied, not wanting him to finish that sentence. "Minho, the past few times I've been with you....I can honestly say, that I've been my happiest ever. You just make me feel like I can be myself, you make me happy, you tease me, which I hate to admit to liking, but I do. I just feel like a better person around you, because you're the first person that both listens to me, cares what I'm talking about, and most importantly....you don't judge me for what I like, or how I act. I just don't think I'm ready to give you up...."
Even though you haven't known Minho too long, you instantly liked him. You couldn't help the feeling you felt, as it was so genuine. You knew that you didn't want to leave him, not this soon.
"Y/N, I made you a promise." He replied, after he took in what you said. He stared into your eyes, before finding his way to your lips, kissing you softly. As your lips parted, you smiled sweetly at him, looking into his eyes. With a determined look, he spoke up once more, making the butterflies in your stomach fly in circles at his words.
"I will find you again."
❀ ~Request~ ❀
+ The 2nd and also last part of a request from TheSassyCupid ~!! I was on a roll when writing it, and just couldn't wait to get it finished, so it actually got out quicker than expected. Yes, I may have sacrificed sleep for this. But was it worth it? Hell yeah it was~!!
+ This has by far been longest imagine I've ever written, this chapter being about 4,000 words, making the whole imagine over 6,000.... AHHHH- Though, I have to say, I am quite proud of this one.
+ I know you trusted the ending to me, and I'm sure you were expecting a lovely happy ending. However, I have a thing for sad, mysterious and open-ended endings....
(;ŏ﹏ŏ) Though, I hope I didn't disappoint~!
+ Have a lovely day/night~!! Stay safe everyone~~
