- Jeongin -

The sudden ring of your phone alarmed you, as you had been quietly sitting on your bed, simply reading a good book that had been sitting on your shelf for the past few months.

You put down the book, and the piece of toast you had been nibbling at, as you walked over to where you had last put your phone. You had put it far away, so you wouldn't be tempted to look at it, as you wanted to detach yourself from technology, at least for an hour or two. So much for that idea.

But when you saw the caller ID, you couldn't have been more happy to answer. I mean after all, who wouldn't be happy to answer, when their boyfriend was on the other end.

"Jeongin! Hey!" You spoke, with much enthusiasm in your voice. You heard light laughter from the other end, before hearing the voice of the guy you knew all too well.

"Hello baby~!" Jeongin replied, making you smile instantly at his angelic voice. "I know we're supposed to hang out, don't worry, I didn't forget that. I just forgot what time I should be there at. Was it at one, or two?"

"Ahhh, about that...." You began, as you looked around your room, the floor covered in towels, and a pile of blankets thrown beside your bed that you had over you just before answering this call. "It's not exactly a good time...."

"What? You were fine with it just yesterday...." You heard Jeongin say, with a slight bit of disappointment present in his voice. "Did something happen?"

"Kind of. I think I have some sort of a bug, because I may or may not have thrown up last night....and this morning." You admitted, as your smile faded. You knew Jeongin was looking forward to today, and you were too, so this was a stab in the chest for both of you.

"Oh my, that doesn't sound very good at all. Do you want me to come over?" Jeongin asked, clear worry in the tone of his voice.

"What? No, you could catch it or something." You quickly replied. You then heard him mutter something about food, and the colour red. "What was that?"

"Baby, which hoodie was it that you liked better? It was the red one, right?" He replied, as if he had been deep in thought.

"Why....?"

"I-I just need to know." He answered. You sighed lightly, knowing exactly what he was thinking.

"Jeongin, you better not be thinking of coming over. You can't risk getting sick, with your busy schedule ahead." You said in a small voice.

"It was the red one, I'm pretty sure of it." He continued, completely ignoring what you had said.

"Jeongin." You stated sternly.

"Mhm."

"Please, don't come over. It would be silly for you to do so." You said in a softer tone.

"B-but you're sick. I just want to make sure you're okay." He whined, making your smile come back a bit, at the thought of him worrying about you even though he had so much else to worry about.

"I really want you to come over too, but just in case you end up getting sick because of me, I don't think you should. Just think rationally about this...." You explained, hearing a light sigh on the other end in response.

"Okay baby, I won't....just call me later, and tell me how you're doing. Okay?" He replied after a few seconds.

"I will, don't worry."

You lay in your bed, just looking at the ceiling. You had been doing this for the past half an hour, just thinking to yourself. Mainly because you couldn't sleep.

A light sigh escaped you, as one reoccurring thought came to mind. You wished Jeongin was here, with you. You thought that maybe, just maybe, he might have came anyways.

But you had told him not to. And he has his schedule, that seems to be pretty packed lately. I guess that's just because they're promoting their latest album at the moment. So there's no way he'd have been able to, because his other members definitely wouldn't allow it, not to mention his manager.

Then suddenly, there was a loud knock at your door. You contemplated on even bothering to go get it, because if was some sort of delivery, they could easily leave it out for you or something. Maybe even come back some other time.

But you couldn't help but be just a bit hopeful, that your boyfriend would be at the door. You slowly got up from your bed, and walked towards the door. You tried to think that it wouldn't be him, just so you didn't have to deal with the disappointment. But when you opened the door, you got nothing but pure joy.

"Don't be mad." Was the first thing announced, the moment you opened your door. "I talked to Chan Hyung, and he said it was completely up to me. And that if I get sick, that's just how it'll have to be."

"I can't believe you actually came." You replied, seeing Jeongin standing in the hallway, with a raincoat on him, and a plastic bag in hand. "Are you not worried about getting sick?"

"Well yes, of course I am. But not when it concerns you." He replied, showing you a bright smile.

"Well then, you can come in." You giggled, as you stepped back. Jeongin took off his raincoat as you closed and locked the door.

"Can I hug you....or is that off limits?" Jeongin shyly asked, after hanging up his coat and putting the bag down.

"Well, you are literally less than a meter away from me right now. I don't see why not...." You replied, seeing Jeongin's face light up immediately. Suddenly, his arms wrapped around you, embracing you into a hug.

It had been about a week since you last saw him, so this hug felt more like a 'I'm holding onto you for dear life, in fear of losing you' type of hug. Jeongin's arms loosened slightly, so he could look down at you. You smiled lightly, before Jeongin placed a small kiss on your lips. Not expecting it, you blushed instantly, hearing a light chuckle from Jeongin in response.

"I brought soup." He stated, after he let you go. Your face lit up upon hearing this, and of course Jeongin noticed this. "I thought that might make you happy."

"It's soup, of course it would!" You stated, showing a smile. Soup was your absolute favorite. You would say your favorite food, but technically speaking, it was multiple things. You and Jeongin had actually recently had a debate about that, and he won. I mean, he was right. It ain't exactly a single piece of food.

Quickly, you pecked his cheek, before hugging him once more. Jeongin hugged you back, without any hesitation, even though he was holding something. You both stayed like that for a while, before finally letting go so he could pour you both out the soup.

"Why do you feel so soft whenever I hug you?" You asked, noticing that he felt so cuddly today.

"Oh yeah...." He chuckled, putting down the container, holding the precious soup. "I almost forgot."

He took his black jumper off, showing a red one underneath. His, in your opinion, cosiest hoodie.

"I didn't want to hold it, just in case I somehow dropped the soup, and spilled it on the jumper...." He laughed lightly, while scratching the back of his head.

"But the soup was in a bag....and you were wearing a coat." You replied, slightly confused. You looked up at him, seeing his face a light shade of pink.

"I was hoping you wouldn't ask that...." He replied, with a small laugh. "You said you liked wearing my jumper, because it smelled like me. So, uh....I decided to wear it here, so maybe it would."

"You're the single most amazing person in the world." You replied, instantly giving him another hug. "I'm so lucky to have you."

A/N

+ As I thought about it more, soup actually can be your favorite food. Food is plural and singular, I just completely neglected that point.

+ Also, I wrote this so weirdly, that it took so long to edit. I wrote the first part, skipped a few lines, and wrote what I wanted to happen next. I did that at least another two times. So then, I had to go and basically rewrite everything, so it would flow smoothly.

+ Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this~! Have a great day/night~!! ♥️♥️
