"Feel like making a deal with the devil?"

"Hm, as expected. From a Lee, of course." Qiuyue mumbled, her phone pressed up to her ear. She scans the student council room, seeing their president seated on her usual spot, jaw rested on the palm of her hand as she gazed out the window, thoughts swerving into her mind.
Qiuyue frowned, wanting to know what was going on inside her beloved president's head, not that she'd actually give in something to know but it was clear that she wasn't equal to her president.
"Yue? Yue! Are you still even listening to me?" Yangyang's aggravated tone from the other side of the line made her snap out of her reverie. She knits his brows together, although trying to remain a calm stance as she stood by the huge fish tank inside the student council office.
"Yeah, I'm here. I'm listening. What's happening now?"
Yangyang cackled and shook his head at Qiuyue's distracted self. His gaze fixated further into the room where he watches the new student yank the infamous blonde-haired gambler close to him. Yangyang couldn't help but roll his eyes at the blonde-boy, wanting to laugh incredulously at how pathetic he looked right now. "They are continuing the game. Lee Haechan offered..." the rest of his sentence became unclear as Quiyue's eyes widened in shock, nearly dropping her phone if it weren't for Sungchan calling out to her.
"Yue, who are you talking to? Are you busy?"
When their phone call ended, Qiuyue rushes to pocket her phone and walk towards the long meeting table. She hugs her clipboard close, a frown displayed across the bottom half of her face. "Prez." She called out in a stern voice, ignoring Sungchan who crossed his arms in annoyance.
"Why are you ignoring—"
"Have they done it?" The redhead was cut off by their President. Her once bored gaze that stared out the window was now pierced into them and her tone was agog as if she had been waiting for them to report to her the moment the gamble had started. And maybe she was; waiting for them to crawl back to her with fear and disturbance in their eyes.
"Done what?" Another blonde-haired boy, though his hair seemed whiter than snow, spoke in a boring tone. He traced the edges of his eyepatch, touching his dermal piercing with the tips of his finger. Huang Renjun. That's his name.
The girl who sat in the middle of the long table only smirked, eyeing the huge doors that she waited to bust open. "That Lee. They've done it, haven't they?"
"Lee? Oh right, that new student." Renjun spoke, cracking his finger joints. "What's so special about him anyway? He's a Lee, that's a shame."
"I have to agree. He doesn't seem promising, Seo."
Narae shrugs her shoulders shamelessly. Although she wasn't particularly close to the third Lee, she knew of him and that goes the same for him. They have never crossed paths before and that's what made them more intrigued by one another. Narae shot a look towards Qiuyue and the girl nods, running off to fulfill her duties.
"He's not alone. That's what makes him special."

"Impossible. Y-You... I can't- how were you so sure?" Jaemin trembled, staring down at his hands, refusing to look up at Haechan who gleamed down at him with that wide grin.
"You were the one who made a deal with the devil, Na. I'd never thought you'd have the guts to do that. Getting the whole class to cooperate with you?" Haechan scoffs, rolling his eyes at the blonde. "You think we— I'd never notice?"
"To ensure your win against those fifty chip bets, you used the same trick." Haechan gestured down on the last cards they used for the final showdown. He won with scissors. He gave a smug smirk, "I'll be waiting for your payment, Nana! I'll be waiting for that 9.3 million." his eyes went dark, "You'll pay me back, right? After all, you are a representative."
Jaemin dropped his head onto the table, his eyes wide and his body trembling in shock. Impossible, he kept chanting in his mind. How was he able to lose, especially against a Lee? The same bloodline he mocked over and over again awhile ago down the hallways. Then again, this Lee felt different. The aura he had around him, it always changes. It felt like Jaemin was facing multiple people at the same time, how was that possible? He felt intimidated by his presence.
Surely he never felt this way before around the other Lee's. He toyed with them, mocked them, made sure to drag their name down into the trash. And yet here he was, beaten by someone who had just come into the class; beaten by someone who carried the Lee surname with him.
"I- I can't..." his words barely came out clear. He felt rage bubbling inside of him, ready to scream and trash the place, but he can't do that, he was now worthless. The guy who held onto so many chains and leashes of worthless beings was now the fool who had chains himself.
Haechan raised a brow, tilting his head innocently. "Hm? What was that?"
Jaemin's fingers curled into a fist, his jaw clenched tight as tears of anger trickled down his cheeks. "I don't... I don't have it now. Please give me a few days to pay you back the money."
Almost everyone had stared at the blonde boy in shock. It wasn't every day you see him losing to someone, especially to someone that was new. Whispers began to fly around from corner to corner making Jaemin's heartbeat quicken its pace. The more their words echoed into his mind the more anger resented inside him.
"I can't believe Na just lost to a new student."
"Man, I thought Na would've won by now, guess not."
"He finally got the taste of his own medicine."
"Serves him right! I guess you really shouldn't underestimate people you have yet to know."
"This Lee... he doesn't carry the same vibes as his relatives, no?"
Haechan chuckled, his giggles turning into loud cackles. Waving him off, he stood up, still looking down at Jaemin. "Well, I'm kinda satisfied after seeing that face you're making. It's such an honor to see the infamous Na Jaemin from the Na family crying helplessly in front of a Lee." Jaemin flinched at Haechan's words.
Haechan leaned down to whisper into Jaemin's ears. "Don't underestimate us, Na. I may be a Lee, and it's said that Lee's are lower than a Seo, but I'm not alone. I'll tear that president apart. Watch me."
Jaemin slowly looked up, his cheeks stained with tears and eyes bloodshot. He used his arm to shield away his pathetic state. "What are you even planning, Lee?" He whispers back, almost inaudible.
Haechan steps back and holds out his hand. "We're friends now, aren't we? Call me Haechan."
Friends? Ugh, right. That stupid bet. Jaemin scoffed and looked away, ignoring Haechan's stretched out arm. The latter only stifles his laugh, retreating his hand and shrugging. "Alright, I guess you still resent me. But I'm not lying when I said if I won you'd become my friend, Nana."
"Don't fucking call me Nana."
Haechan ignores him and kept a smile on his pretty face. "See you again, Nana." He turns around, gesturing for Jisung to come towards him. When the boy did, he latches his arm around the younger boy's arm and joyfully dragged him out.
Jisung struggled underneath Haechan's grip but it wasn't long until they reached a deserted part of the school and Haechan let go of the younger boy's arm. Jisung scratches his head, "C-Congrats! Hyung... but, how were you... how'd you able to beat him like that? It's like you knew what card he'd use..."
Haechan shrugs his shoulders, "I already saw him through anyway, though I had it hard as well. I tried observing by staking those chips, but it didn't seem like he was giving signals at all, unless... someone else was doing it for him."
"You see, spectators, people who watch the gamble unfolding, they usually have their eyes on the game or the gamblers, but then... they weren't looking at me." Haechan tilts his head back, his jawline protruding. "They were looking at someone behind me."
"B-But... how were you able to see..."
Haechan chuckles, pressing his forefinger onto his lips. "Now that's a secret I'd never tell, little asteroid." He then sighs in content, "Who knows?"
Jisung pursed his lips for a moment before speaking again, "But... how did you pull out scissors by the end? There were probably only three or two cards of it in the ballot box..."
"Ah," Haechan hummed, "it was entirely a coincidence! I guess I'm just a lucky guy."
Jisung's eyes widened and he nearly stepped back from shock. "You clarified his cheating by spending millions and you're telling me... that you got more of what you spent JUST BY LUCK!?"
Haechan nodded his head, "That's right, Jisung."
"You... implied that a gamble is more fun because of the risks- you mean—"
"Well, little asteroid. Wouldn't it be too boring if I simply lost because of too many risks? However... isn't excessive advantage also boring?"
Jisung sighed and looked down at his shoes. "Your way of thinking... it amazes me. And here I am, supposed to be a representative, crushing everyone that comes my way, and yet I lost... on my first day."
"I wish- I wish I could be like you."
Haechan only smiled towards the younger boy, his eyes returning to normal. He ruffled Jisung's hair causing the boy to glance at him, shocked to see such warmth radiating from him. Jisung felt as if he had an older brother supporting him.
"You can never be like me, Jisung. Not me, I'm not a good role model, honestly. You'll do better next time, little asteroid. After all, I'm cheering for you." Haechan said and handed him a check. "Here. No need to pay me back, after all, we're friends."
"And besides that, you're the first person to not look down on me- or judge me- for being a Lee, that is." Haechan sighed in content, twirling his silver chain necklace with his finger. "I'll see you tomorrow, little asteroid."
"T-Thank you!" Jisung said and bowed at him. Haechan nodded and began walking away, a satisfied grin plastered on his face as he strides down the hallway, passing by the student council office, a wave of thrill surging through his veins.
"One down. More to go." He murmured. "I'll take that spot, Prez. You better be waiting for me."
