Origin

A/N: If you have read Two Single Hearts, then you are about to read the Origin of the story. Two Single hearts came into the picture because.... (Mutters) I thought I accidentally deleted this. But! I found it half way through the story. Yes, I do have allot of Zosan stories. If you would like to see another ship, crack ship, or whatever. Leave a comment or whatever. But I'm done talking Enjoy.

His boots tapped up the church's steps. His cape dragged behind him and tail whipped under. His moss green hair had two long curled black horns growing from the green. He reached the doors and pushed them open with a smirk showing his sharp teeth. The church gasped as the blonde priest stopped his speech. The church was quiet some whimpering in fear.
"It's a demon!" A woman cried.
The church was in panic running out of the church. The priest stood at the alter watching the church empty of its people. The blonde removed his glasses and placed them down. The church was empty when the demon started to approach the priest.
"Why the hell are you in my church demon?" The blonde asked.
The demon approached the alter taking a knee.
"Is there a place we can talk privately?" He asked.
The blonde sighed holding out his hand, the demon took his hand kissing his knuckle. Flicking his red eyes up to the priest. The blonde pulled him up and into the back room. The door was shut and locked.
"What the hell idea did you think to come into my church!? Scaring the people of the church out?!"
The demon sighed taking the blondes hands.
"I had to see you again, Sanji." The demon said.
"Do you know what kind of trouble I would be in if the others knew I was holding a demon in my church Zoro? Do you know the consequences?!"
Zoro kissed Sanji's fingers then the palm of his hand then up his arm to his neck.
"Don't lie, you missed me too." Zoro hummed.
Sanji huffed, "What do you want?"
"I'm going to be gone for a while and I wanted to say my goodbyes. It will only be a few days, a neighboring brotherhood is rebelling against our kingdom and since I'm captain of the guard. I have to go."
Sanji hugged the slightly taller man.
"I wish you luck, come back in one piece okay?"
Zoro chuckled, "Are you worried about me?"
Sanji groaned as Zoro hugged him back. A portal opened behind Zoro. They turned to the black hole with green and purple glowing around it. Zoro pulled something out of his pocket and put it in Sanji's hands. He cupped Sanji's face and kissed him softly before walking up to the portal.
"I'll be back soon, don't miss me too much." Zoro chuckled.
Sanji smiled, "I wish you luck. Remember to come back in one piece okay?"
Zoro nodded and walked in, before it shut The demon turned back to the priest clutching the item in his hands tightly.
"You worry too much, I love you." Zoro said pulling a toothy grin.
Then he was gone, leaving a few sparkles in the air. Sanji looked down at his hands there was a small bag. He opened it to find a necklace with a bright blue gem hanging off it. There was a note, Sanji sat on the couch and pulled it out. Flipping it open and was written in chicken scratch. But Sanji was able to make it out.
"This gem is called the All Blue, once in the sunlight it turns different shades and colors of blue. It was hard to find but, I found it. It reminded me of your eyes, then I noticed your stupid eyebrows. I hope you like it.
Zoro."
Sanji smiled looking at the gem. He held it up to the light and Zoro was right. It shined many shades of blue. Sanji tied it around his neck and put it under his cloak. Stuffing the note in his pocket. The door slammed open and Sanji turned to Usopp.
"WHERES THE DEMON?!" He cried.
"He's gone, it was just a question of how to become holy. But I told him it simply cannot be done. Then he left." Sanji explained.
"Why do they think that?! Ugh! I'm tired of them scaring the good people of this town."
"Well they can't help it."
"Who's side are you on? You were once one of us and wanted nothing to do with these demons and then one day it changed!? What has gotten into you?"
"I don't know what your talking about. I just simply saw there side of things and figured how bad it's been for them."
"How would you know? Are you friends with a demon?! You would be Doused in holy water and burned!"
"What rubbish are you speaking?"
"You are! You are friends with a demon!"
Sanji sighed getting up, "If your going to accuse me for such rubbish then you better have proof."
And it was no better timing, Usopp had Sanji watched for the past three days while Zoro was at war. Sanji turned up clean and he was relieved for that first week. But as the second week ended and no show of Zoro, Sanji began to worry. He said a few days, it's been almost two weeks. Should he worry? No no, Zoro's probably partying with the rest of the guards and got drunk again. He's fine, he always is. But that month ended. Sanji sat at home holding the necklace looking at the vibrant blues of the necklace.
"Zoro, where are you?" Sanji sighed.
Sanji tied the necklace around his neck and shut the light off. He crawled in bed staring out the window. Eventually falling asleep to the sound of silence. There was a slight nudging of a table and Sanji sat up pulling out the knife from between the wall and the bed. He pointed it to the surrendering figure.
"Easy, easy, it's just me." Zoro said.
Sanji lowered the knife, "Why are you in the dark?"
"I have sinned." Zoro said.
He took a step into the light. Sanji's eyes widened looking at the one eyed Zoro.
"I had lost a piece of me in the battle." Zoro said.
Sanji's eyes had faint tears and cupped his mouth. Placing the knife back and getting up. He walked up to Zoro looking at the scar across his eye.
"Wh-what happened? How did? Oh my." Sanji asked.
His hand reached up and ran his thumb over the scar. Zoro nuzzled his face into the hand.
"I was out battling and I was caught off guard. A man cut my eye, and that's why I haven't been here. I am sorry I have broken a promise with you." Zoro said.
Sanji hugged him holding him tighter then ever. Zoro held him back resting his chin on Sanji's shoulder.
"Your an idiot. As long as your okay, that's all that matters to me." Sanji said.
Zoro chuckled, Sanji pulled back looking back into his dark red eye.
"It looks good on you tho, makes you look tough." Sanji said.
Zoro chuckled, "I have longed for your touch priest."
Sanji smirked wrapping his arms around the demon and kissing him. Zoro kissed back and as things got intimate between the two the night grew to morning. Sanji woke to the Sun's warmth on his face. He turned to the sleeping demon next to him. Sanji propped himself up looking down to the beast.
"Zoro." Sanji hummed.
Zoro's face scrunched, and groaned he opened his one eye.
"It's morning, your people might be looking for you." Sanji said.
"Eh, I told them not to worry. Unless you want me to go?" Zoro asked.
"Never stay here forever."
"Your wish is my command."
Sanji leaned down kissing Zoro, in return Zoro kissed back putting a hand to Sanji's neck. A simple kiss turned out to a make out session pinning Sanji to the bed.
"I have sinned." Zoro smirked.
"Speak your sins child." Sanji said.
"I have fallen in love with a priest."
"Then I have sinned as well."
"Oh?"
"I'm in love with a demon."
Zoro hummed kissing Sanji.
"Ugh I have to go." Sanji said.
"Take the day off, it's been a while since I've seen you."
"Zoro you know I can't do that. I'll make it up to you later."
"Alright, I'll go. But I'll miss you too much."
"Just get out of my house."
Zoro chuckled climbing out of bed and a portal opened. Zoro grabbed his cape pulling it on and latching the two pieces together.
"Well I'm off."
"Hey Zoro?"
Zoro placed a hand on his hip, "Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too, I'll be back soon. Don't wait up for me."
Zoro chuckled leaving into the portal.
"When can I see you again?" Sanji asked.
Zoro turned, "Soon, Real soon."
Sanji smiled as the portal closed with small sparkles fluttering in the room. Sanji hugged his pillow and sighed.
"What the hell is wrong with me?"
A few days past and it was Sunday. Sanji speaking of the word of God. While Zoro waited in the backroom his hands clasped together. Zoro had to tell Sanji.
"Amen." Sanji snapped the book closed.
People started to leave the church and a few stayed to speak there sins to Usopp and Sanji. Some complimented his work and some prayed with them. Sanji turned to the bedroom seeing a glint of red.
"I have to go, but I will be available later." Sanji backed up.
Usopp cocked a brow at Sanji but Sanji was already closing the backroom door. Sanji sighed leaning against the door. He looked up to Zoro standing up to him.
"Zoro, what are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you."
The door was knocked on.
"Sanji? Are you alright?"
"Peachy, I am busy come back later."
"What can you be so busy with in the backroom?"
"Restocking the holy water."
"I can help you, just let me in."
"I can do it, there was a woman I was supposed to speak to outside the church. Meet her for me okay?"
"Sanji are you-"
"Just do it."
Usopp sighed and walked away. Sanji pressed his ear to the door hearing Usopp leave.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" Sanji asked turning to Zoro.
Zoro hugged Sanji, "I have to go to war."
"What? You just came back."
"I know, they killed a member of my clan. They killed my sister, so I have to avenge her."
"Zoro, I'm so sorry."
Sanji clutched onto Zoro holding each other against the door. Zoro pulled back and kissed Sanji. First little pecks but slowly getting longer and longer. Sanji panted between kisses and held Zoro's face.
"Not here, we can't here." Sanji panted.
Zoro smirked backing off, "Then next time, I will be back in a week. You take care."
A portal broke out, behind Zoro.
"Besides I have a surprise for you when I get back." Zoro said.
"Oh do you?" Sanji cocked a brow.
"It's only temporary though. I better be going so you can miss me."
Zoro kissed Sanji passionately leaving a bittersweet taste on his lips.
"Good luck, captain." Sanji hummed.
"I love it when you call me that."
"Get out of my church," Sanji smirked, "Captain."
Zoro rolled his shoulders feeling his body heat up by a name rolled off Sanji's tongue. Sanji pushed Zoro back into the portal and smiled. Sanji tossed him a small box.
"A good luck charm." Sanji said.
Zoro held the box and looked up to him as he portal closed. The door opened and Sanji turned to Usopp.
"I have to close the church now, you have to leave." Usopp said.
Sanji nodded and left the church. The week was slow, before Sunday rolled around again. Sanji was preaching at the alter when a late arrival rolled in. A man with moss green hair and a cut over his eye. Everyone turned to the man but then turned away. For, he was just a tardy man.
"Sanji I have never seen him here before. Do you think he's new?" Usopp whispered.
Sanji smiled turning to Usopp, "He's a very dear friend of mine."
And so the preaching began, after everything was over. Zoro still sat in the back of the church watching Sanji pack up.
"Hardly recognize me huh?" Zoro asked.
Sanji looked up to him, "It's hard to recognize anyone from that far away. Come closer."
Zoro got up and walked up to Sanji. Taking up the stairs one by one before getting up to Sanji.
"Is that really you Zoro? You look so." Sanji cocked a brow.
"Handsome?" Zoro chuckled.
"Human."
"Sanji who's your friend?" Usopp asked.
"Oh this is Zoro, a very, very dear friend of mine."
Usopp walked up to him and outstretched a hand. Zoro reached out but hesitated before pulling back and crossing his arms.
"What? I'm not gonna bite." Usopp said.
"Your hands are covered in holy water. I cannot shake your hand." Zoro said.
"He's allergic." Sanji said.
"Right... Uh anyway. You go on and catch up with your friend."
"Oh thanks, I'll be out of your hair."
Sanji and Zoro walked out of the church. Turning to Usopp with a curious look. Then they left. Usopp snapped his fingers, a woman walked out.
"Follow them, that man is not human." Usopp said.
"Will do."
And the woman dressed in casual clothing leaves. She pulled up her blonde hair and searched for the two misfits in the crowd.
"Zoro this is amazing, I didn't know you had this kind of power!" Sanji said.
Zoro chuckled, "I told you you would like it, as I said its temporary. It will only last for the next two or three days. My buddy made the spell for me and now we can look and walk among you. We can finally be together."
Sanji smiled, "Yeah, after all this time. We can coexist."
"Sanji, when this becomes permanent. I don't know what it's called here on the surface but, it's when two people love each other enough they spend the rest of there lives together. I've seen you do it a few times."
"Oh, marriage? Wait Zoro are you asking me to marry you?"
"Eventually when I can be human."
Sanji hugged him, "Yes of course. I will definitely."
Zoro hugged him back, "Hopefully Chopper can do it."
"Yeah but I would miss your demon form a little too much, it suits you."
Sanji and Zoro walked into a restaurant and sat down.
"So you don't like my human form." Zoro asked.
"No no, I do but. It would have to get some getting used to. Like if I turned into a demon. You would have to get used to it." Sanji said.
"Yeah, but I can see you with horns and a tail. You'd look pretty, beastly."
Sanji rolled his eyes, the woman took a seat behind Zoro.
"Besides we shouldn't be talking about this kind of stuff in public." Zoro said.
His eye narrowed to the woman behind him. Zoro sniffed the air and turned his head.
"Why don't we go some place different?" Zoro asked.
"Is everything okay?" Sanji asked.
Zoro got up from the table grabbing Sanji's arm and pulling him out of the restaurant. Zoro glared back at the restaurant tighting his grip on Sanji.
"We're being watched." Zoro said.
"By who? Who would want to watch us?" Sanji asked.
"The woman behind me smelt like your church, she was nervous. Just because I look human doesn't mean I lost my abilities. We have to go home."
"Why would someone want to follow us?"
"I think it might be Usopp, he's been suspicious of me." Zoro said.
"Zoro lets talk about this when we get home."
Zoro nodded slipping his hand into Sanji's lacing fingers. Heading home. When they got there Zoro closed the door and locked it. Zoro's eye scanned the room, he sniffed the air before going into the bedroom. Sanji followed behind him.
"Zoro what is it?" Sanji asked.
Zoro put a finger to his lips, and Sanji nodded. Zoro pushed Sanji on the bed getting on top of him and leaned in to Kiss Sanji. There was a soft click in the closest. Zoro's head snapped to the closet.
"Gotcha." Zoro muttered.
He crawled off the bed waking over to the closet and pulled open the door. A man punched Zoro in the face with his camera and ran out of the house. Zoro stumbled back onto the bed. Zoro sniffled holding his nose.
"Are you okay?" Sanji asked.
Zoro pulled his hand back and looked at the empty hand.
"Yeah I'm not bleeding. Well, what color is your blood?"
"Red. You know that."
Sanji wrapped his arms around Zoro resting his head on Zoro's shoulder.
"We just have to wait the rest of today and then we are free." Sanji said.
"Yeah. Your right. In the mean time. I want to feel you around my human flesh." Zoro hummed.
The next day Zoro and Sanji were out in town. Zoro's nose was bruised so they had to get some medicine for him.
"Do you like my tongue? I think it's too, small." Zoro asked.
"Your tongue is just like mine." Sanji said.
"Yeah? And how do you eat with such dull teeth?"
"It's magic."
"You have magic?"
Sanji chuckled, "No."
"Don't tease me like that!"
Usopp jumped out holding a bucket of holy water. Usopp tossed it, Sanji got in the way having the water splash on him. Zoro was burned by some of the water droplets.
"Sanji, I'm so sorry." Usopp said.
"Just get out of here." Sanji sighed.
"Sanji-"
"I said get out of here."
Sanji shook his sleeves as a crowd gathered around them. Usopp walked off.
"You didn't have to do that you know." Zoro said.
"And reveal you to the public? Not a chance." Sanji smiled.
"You, we should take you home."
Zoro didn't hesitate taking Sanji's hand, his hand steamed as he took Sanji home.
"Doesn't it hurt? You don't have to hold my hand." Sanji asked.
"Nah, and I want to. It just stings a little but no big deal." Zoro said.
Sanji and Zoro returned home Sanji pulled off his wet clothes and put them out to dry. Zoro sat in the living room while Sanji went to the bathroom to shower. Zoro's hand was red as his demon skin.
"Shit." Zoro muttered. A few spots on his arms were red too.
"Zoro? Is everything okay?" Sanji asked.
Sanji waked over to Zoro and looked at the red spots and his red hand.
"Well, it worked for this long." Sanji said.
He sat next to Zoro resting his wet head on his cheek.
"I wish you could come with me. And see my world." Zoro said.
Sanji chuckled, "I bet it's hot."
"You get used to it. You would like it, I wish some of my friends could meet you and. We could be together."
Zoro's hand laced with Sanji's, Zoro kissed his head and rested his head back on Sanji's.
"My place is here Zoro. You don't have to change to stay in my world. I don't want you to." Sanji said.
There was a knock on the door. Sanji looked to the door getting up. He opened the door, where Usopp stood.
"What do you want?" Sanji asked.
"Can, can I talk to you in private?" Usopp asked.
Sanji looked back to Zoro who was watching them. Sanji stepped out and closed the door.
"Sanji I don't trust that guy, he's allergic to holy water, he's spotted two of my spy's, he has one eye! Sanji he might be a demon!" Usopp said.
Sanji blinked, "Yeah, and I'm a demon to."
"Be serious Sanji."
"Usopp, you worry too much. Wait, the one that was in my house? And the one at the restaurant?"
Usopp nodded, he pulled out a picture and handed it to Sanji. It was Zoro on top of Sanji in his demon form.
"Sanji, we have to douse him in holy water and send him back to his home!"
"Your spying on me? What the hell! Keep you and your long nose out out my business!"
Sanji groaned going back inside slamming the door closed.
"I'm trying to protect you! I'm worried about you and that guy!" Usopp yelled from the other side of the door.
Sanji handed Zoro the photo.
"Tonight is service so I need you there okay! You can bring your friend, I won't do anything to him." Usopp called.
"He speaks of lies, he's going to hurt me then you. Don't go." Zoro said.
"If you don't come I'll personally have Father burn you and your companion." Usopp said.
"I'll think about it! Leave me alone!" Sanji called.
And Usopp left, Zoro studied the picture.
"Some kind of magic. Probably the photo paper." Zoro said.
Sanji sighed slumping down next to Zoro.
"Your going to go aren't you?"
"I have to, it's my job."
As the night broke out, Sanji was on his way to the church. Zoro knew something was going to happen. He tagged along shortly behind. But sneaky enough for Sanji not to see him. Sanji went up and into the church. Zoro crept up to a window. He watched as Sanji walked in. Sanji walked up the six steps to a much taller man dressed in black and bald.
"Sanji, one of your brothers is worried about you. He says you might be with a demon? And in a relationship with him?" The man asked.
Sanji remained silent, not to rat out his lover.
"Sanji this is bad, you can be in allot of trouble for it. If it was just a normal female demon we would give you a normal scrubbing of holy water and isolation. But, he is male and you have been with him. You have committed the ultimate sin. We have to burn you."
"You told me when I was a kid that when you love someone enough, you do crazy things."
His face furrowed in disappointment, "Do you love this demon?"
"I do. I love the demon. Father John, I love him more then my life itself."
Father John smacked Sanji across the face knocking him down. The doors swing open to the church.
"Don't you lay another hand on him!" Zoro spat.
Sanji turned as Zoro stood in the doorway. A dark Ora surrounded him.
"Zoro." Sanji muttered.
"You bloody demon have corrupted my son! To think that a demon could love a human!" Father John spoke.
Zoro roared into the church shattering the glass and everything valuable in the room. Sanji and Father John covered there ears. And when they turned back, Zoro was in his demon form. His tail flicked in anger and three swords sat on his hip. Zoro's eye was glowing a dark red. Father John snapped his fingers and a few of he priests wrapped rope around Zoro and it burned. Being soaked in holy water. Zoro cried out in a roar of pain. Father John knocked Sanji out and pulled him over his shoulder. Usopp walked in as Father John was walking out.
"Take care of the demon. I want him hung! Or drown in holy water! I don't care see that he is dead!" John said.
Usopp nodded and walked into the church. Zoro was on the ground hissing in pain. His eye caught Usopp.
"You! You! You got him in this mess! Save him! Save Sanji!" Zoro cried, "He's gonna burn him! Don't let him burn him, I love him! Please! I beg of you!"
Usopp stepped back, "What did you say?"
"That man took Sanji! He's going to burn him!"
"I thought a demon couldn't love."
"That was just a rumor you stupid priests made up! I love that man! Please, I want him to be alive."
Usopp took one of Zoro's swords and cut off the ropes. Zoro sighed, looking at his healing skin and grabbed his swords. Zoro ran out of the building following after Sanji's scent. Ending up to a field with a cross it was ignited in flames with Sanji tired to it. Zoro walked up noticing Sanji's body was burning. Zoro stopped, the fire wasn't normal fire. It was magic, Zoro could smell the difference. He sighed falling to his knees, he pulled out his sword and stabbed the earth holding onto the handle. His grip tightened as his head hung.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't of asked if I could see you again. I should of just left after those guys attacked you. I should of not looked back. I shouldn't of kissed you. None of this would of happened." Zoro said.
"If you just left him alone this wouldn't of happened! You bloody demon!" A voice spoke.
Zoro turned to Father John holding a knife.
"You killed him." Zoro said.
"I had to, you corrupted my son. He wanted nothing to do with our teachings but to do more research more on you monsters!"
"I am not the monster, you are!" Zoro snapped.
With that Zoro jumped at him attacking. But the Father dodged each blow. Uncapping a bottle of holy water and tossing it in Zoro's face. Zoro cried out backing up and rubbing his face. Sheathing his blades and wiping his face off. He looked up to find his own blade pointed to his neck.
"Kill me! It's not like I have anything anything to live for," Zoro fell to his knees, "A demon can love a human."
Zoro heard him lift the blade and the tip was pointing to his back. Shutting his eyes clutching the grass, thinking to himself. This is it. As the blade was pulled up, a fire bullet was shot at the blade. Father John hissed dropping the blade.
He looked up, Sanji was fully awake and his fingers pointed like a gun at him.
"This can't be."
Zoro looked up and turns to Sanji, he broke off the ropes and fell to the burning flames. The flames grew brighter and hotter. Zoro shielded his eyes, until the light and heat was consumed. Zoro turned to Sanji, he stood looking at his red hands and dressed in a suit.
"Sanji." Zoro muttered.
Sanji looked up at Zoro, and smiled with a sharp smile. His smile faded when Father John picked up Zoro's sword again. Pointing a finger at him and with a flick of his finger the man was set ablaze. Sanji's tail and horns grew. His horns curled down around his face, the tip of his tail was shaped like a heart. He walked up to Zoro and held out a hand.
"You need a hand?" Sanji asked.
Zoro took his hand Sanji helped him up and they didn't let go of there hands.
"What do you think? Is red me?" Sanji asked.
"Yeah, it sucks your as tall as me now. But I guess I can live with it." Zoro said.
Zoro hugged Sanji, He chuckled hugging him back.
"I thought I lost you." Zoro said.
"Likewise." Sanji clutched Zoro tighter.
"Let's go home."
They pulled back, a portal opened. Sanji's insides started to turn. Zoro started to walk up to it, then stopped and turned to Sanji.
"We can come back anytime." Zoro said.
He held out his hand, Sanji hesitated before taking Zoro's hand. Zoro pulled them through. Sanji shut his eyes clinging to Zoro's arm.
"Sanji." Zoro said, "Open your eyes, we're home."
Sanji opened his eye to see the underworld. It was nothing like the books said. It was like he surface but, it was more hot and orange.
"Zoro! ZORO!" A voice called.
A body ran and clung onto Zoro. A smaller boy with smaller horns and a pointer tail of an arrow.
"Luffy." Zoro groaned.
"You were gone for so long!" He cried.
"Two weeks isn't a long time."
"What? Zoro was only on the surface for two days." Sanji said.
Luffys eyes snapped open and looked at the blonde.
"Zoro? Who's the ram?" Luffy asked.
Sanji groaned crossing his arms.
"That's Sanji." Zoro said.
"Sanji? Your Sanji?! I thought you were human!"
Luffy jumped off Zoro and tackled Sanji.
"It's so great to finally meet you! Zoro has told us so much about you!"
Sanji gave a questioning look to Zoro. He rubbed the back of his neck.
"This is King Luffy of the underworld." Zoro said.
"Sanji I'm going to show you around. This is my kingdom! I rule it all." Luffy said.
"Luffy, we have to go home. He need to rest. We can go on your own personal tour tomorrow." Zoro said.
"Okay good. I cannot wait!" Luffy bounded off.
"Yes, that is our king. But he keeps this kingdom with peace. And he is now your king too. Come on, let me take you to my home." Zoro said.
Sanji nodded taking his hand, Zoro led him though the kingdom. A few people saying hello and meeting Sanji. Allot of people heard of.
"You talk about me too much." Sanji smiled.
"Well, I never expected them to meet you. So each of them knows a different story. Well except Luffy, he likes the stories I tell him about you." Zoro said, "So since you can't be a priest here. What would you like to be?"
Sanji thought, then smiled.
"I want to be a cook, I was never allowed to be one on the surface. Something about  food being from God, but spices being created by the devil."
Zoro chuckled, "I can see you being a cook."
