Ocean Eyes

A/N: Honest Opinion about this ship in the comments! Someone wanted me to write this for the 12 days of Christmas. And I want honest opinions.

Sanji groaned sitting up. He grumbled standing and brushing himself off. He glanced around before noticing. He has no idea where he is. Just come creepy forest. Sanji rubbed his arm as his eyes flicked to tree to tree hearing eerie noises. Until a stick broke. Sanji snapped to the large baboon walking up towards him. He backed up as the baboon got into his face. And screeched, while spit flung from it's lips. Sanji soon grew terrified of said monster as it's long and curled a little at the end sword was pulled from it's back. Is this how it ends?

As the sword was coming down Sanji flinched. But the sound of scraping metal had him snap up. A tall figure with dark hair stood before him. As there swords clashed. The baboon soon grew terrified before running off. Sanji watched as the man with the black sword sheathed his weapon and turned to him.

"What, are you doing here?" He grunted.

"Kuma sent me here. I see it's a mistake, I'm sure Zoro was supposed to be here." Sanji said.

"Zoro?"

Sanji nodded, "We've all been separated."

"I see. Well. I guess I should let you into my home. Since. You could die out here."

Sanji followed him to his castle. He was amazed at how big and gloomy it was. And quiet. Well.

"Hawkeyes!!" Perona called.

They turned to Perona going in and out of walls. Before stopping to float in front of him. Then noticed Sanji.

"You! I remember you! You and your snot nosed lying friend!"

"Perona!" Mihawk barked.

She snapped her mouth shut.

"He will be staying with us. Until things get sorted out. So behave or I'll kick you out."

She huffed before flying off. Mihawk soon sighed as Sanji chuckled.

"Would you mind if I borrowed your kitchen? I'd like to thank you for letting me stay with you." Sanji asked.

"Be my guest. If you need me I'll be in the library."

Sanji nodded watching him walk away and up the first flight of stairs. Sanji smiled and went into the kitchen. His smile widened to the large kitchen and practically screamed like a little school girl.

Mihawk sat in the library, his liquid golden gaze flicked from book to book. Once he found one, he flipped through the pages. He stopped to one page, read it over before grunting and shoving the book back.

What the hell is this he's feeling?

Sanji soon stepped into the library with a tray as Mihawk was reading over a book. Sanji softly set the tray on the table earning Mihawk's attention.

"I uh. Made you some dinner. I didn't know if you were hungry or not." Sanji said.

His eyes flicked to the food. It looked ten times better then something he could make. Then looked back to Sanji with a small nod. Then. He smiled. Sanji gave a soft smile before leaving.

Not again.

Not that chest bounding feeling, like his heart skipped a beat. Then his mind would swim with ideas and pop up images of Sanji. No. Not this again.

It's been some time now. Mihawk and Perona were getting there proper nutrition, and full meals. Instead of whatever was just laying around. Sanji had been very close with Mihawk. He would sit in with him in the library reading over romance novels, or some vintage recipe books. He would then jot down into his recipe book. Mihawk would occasionally catch him staring. Or vice versa. There was definitely something there. But. Both were too chicken to try anything. It was all to end soon. When Kuma called.

"Hawkeyes. There was a little mixup when two of the strawhats have ended on two different islands. I'm coming to put them in there designated islands."

He glanced to Sanji before back down to the phone.

"Do what you must."

Sanji was kind of sad to be let go so soon. Perona frowned knowing the cook wasn't going to be staying with them for that much longer. She had to do something. She had to.

"Hawkeyes. While Sanji's still here, why doesn't he teach you how to cook a little. Until the other one get's here."

"Butt out." Mihawk gruffed.

"Awe come on Hawkeyes-"

"It's alright. It's pretty simple." Sanji said, "I'll teach you easy recipes."

And so the final three days Mihawk and Sanji were in the kitchen cooking. Sanji was behind him helping him touching his hands and arms in good positions to cook. While Mihawk, tried to focus on what he was doing.

"And done. See."

Mihawk felt proud to the dish he made. Perona sat at the table as Sanji delivered it to her. She happily took her first bite.

"Wow this is really good!"

Sanji smiled turning to Mihawk, "See, it's simple."

But. That was the final night they had together. Mihawk sat in the library while Sanji tried to finish the book. Knowing he would never be able to read it again. Mihawk held a glass of wine as he read through his book. Until he stopped. Shutting his book and set down his wine. Sanji perked up to him as he pinned him to the chair. His hand tilted up Sanji's chin.

"Tell me, how. How did you get the ocean in your eyes? How did you melt the sun and turn it to your hair? How did your pale skin keep it's softness of a newborn child. What have you tainted me with that I cannot get your image out of my mind." Mihawk said.

Sanji was red, "I-I-"

His thumb brushed across his bottom lip, "How did you make me fall in love with you?"

He leaned in and kissed him softly. Sanji was hesitant to kiss back. Once he did his arms wrapped around his neck and ran through his hair. As his book fell to the ground. Mihawk pulled back.

"I wish, I said something sooner."

Sanji smiled, "It's alright we will meet again one day. Until then, lets make the most of it."

The following morning. Sanji held Mihawk's arm as they approached the door. Zoro stood in a dress, green curls, heels, and dramatic makeup. Sanji snickered softly into Mihawk's arm.

"Zip it." Zoro grunted.

He pulled off his shoe and chucked it to Sanji's head. Which Mihawk had caught before dropping it to the floor.

"Roronoa, go clean yourself up." Mihawk grunted.

Zoro huffed heading into the castle. Sanji soon pulled away and took Mihawk's hand.

"I thank you for letting me stay," Sanji kissed his knuckles before holding his hand, "I won't forget about this."

"Nor will I. Take care, be alive the next time we meet."

Sanji chuckled, "I'll try."

Mihawk pulled him into a quick kiss before letting him go. That. Was one of the most heart breaking things he had to do.

"Give this to your cook for me." Mihawk said.

Zoro looked to the box, "Why?"

"You stayed in my home for two years. This is the least you can do for me."

Zoro grunted taking the box, "Fine."

Mihawk sighed hoping the box got to him okay.

"Oh, hawkeyes wanted me to give you this."

Sanji smiled taking the box. Where he set it on the dinning table and began to open it. Inside was filled with letters. Sealed with a red wax heart seal. Sanji smiled pulling one out and opened it.

"Jeez, it's like he loves you." Zoro grunted.

"Shut up." Sanji snapped pulling out the letter.

Sanji began to read it resting on his palm. They all went over how much he missed him. And finally admitted how he loved him. Until there was a book and a smaller box in the box. Sanji furrowed pulling out the book and the box. The book was the book he could never finish. Now. He can. With a love letter on the inside of the cover from Mihawk. Then he opened the box.

"You didn't have to do that." Sanji said.

"I didn't know you wore jewelry." Shanks said.

Mihawk glanced to the ring on his finger, "It's just a promise."

"To what?"

"To meet someone again."

"Oh. Is she hot? What she like?"

"Well, it starts with the ocean eyes."

Mihasan? Mihawksan? Sanhawk! Ohhh! That sounds badass! Should I make a Christmas story of this?
