Lovers and Fighters
A/N: (pinches bridge of nose) This is so bad. Im not going to edit it or anything. This is how I used to write compared to today. I didn't think I could improve on writing, but how wrong was I. Anyway. Enjoy the original of Lovers and Fighters. It was all written, in Sanji's point of view.
"Sanji Black you are confined with second degree assault to Aiden Brekly. You are sentanced for eight years in prison. Case closed!" The judge smacked his gavel.
"Sanji no!" Nami called.
Two officers came up to me grabbing my arms and taking me out of the courtroom. The last look I got was from that bastered with bandages on his face and that stupid smirk smeared arcoss his face. They hand cuffed my ankles and my wrists together so I didn't kick anyone. They threw me into a truck and slammed the doors closed. They started up the truck and drove off, I got up on one of the benches in the back taking a seat.
"I'm sorry to tell yah but your cell is with the blood lust of them all." The officer chuckled.
"No way! They decided to let him have a person in his cell with him?" The other officer asked.
"Yep, and this guy is the lucky one."
"Wait who?" I asked.
"Zoro Roronoa." One spoke.
"He's known as the thives hunter. He has killed off as many thrives as he could before he got caught. And now he's in jail. Your the lucky one to get him as your cell mate."
I slumped back in the bench and sighed. I'd kill for a cigarette right about now. A few hours went by when we finally arrived at the jail, they halled me out and into the building. And all mans jail, great no woman. Now how am I supposed to relieve myself? The man at the desk pressed a button and there was a loud buzzing. A door opened and the two officers hauled me through. They took me into a room and stripped me down of my clothes and put me in an orange jumper. Finer printed me, took my picture and sat me down in a room. A man came in and sat down at the table in front of me.
"Sanji Black? Is that your name?" He asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Welcome to your new home for the next eight years!" He chuckled.
An I wanted to kick that stupid smile off his face so bad. But my ankles were handcuffed together and chained to the cuffs on my wrists. They grabbed me again and pulled me through a few more gates and into the jail. Men hollowing at me.
"Fresh meat!, Newbie, Roronoa's toy."
We stopped outside a cell a man with weights on the floor and doing push ups.
"Hey Roronoa, we got you a new cell buddy." The officer called.
They unlocked my cuffs and pushed me inside. The man got up when they slammed the door to the cell. I gulped at the olive muscular man, with strange green hair. He turned to me and gave me the look down he smirked.
"What's up with your eyebrows?" He asked.
I crossed my arms, "What's up with your hair?"
"What's wrong with my hair?"
"It's green, someone pull a prank and die your hair green?"
"You got balls talking to me like that."
"You aren't all that scary as people say."
"Heard of me huh? Well what's your name Ero-brow?"
"Sanji."
"Well Sanji welcome to the rest of your life."
"Hey Blondie!" A male called.
I turned to a man with a purple afro and had heavy makeup in the cell across from us. He waved and winked at me. I shivered and cringed looking at him.
"Zoro! I'll cut you a deal, Blondie for an hour and I'll give you m lunch." He called.
I turned to the moss headed man.
"Please I beg of you, I've been here for five minutes don't give to him." I said.
He chuckled, "Sorry Ida he's mine."
I furrowed my brows, "I don't belong to no one!"
He grabbed the collar of my jumper pulling me closer.
"Look newbie, it's kill or be killed. Unless you know how to fight then your covered. I've been here longer then all of them I'm top dog here."
The cells opened, I turned to see people leaving their cells and Zoro let go of me. He walked out with the rest of them. He stopped outside and turned to me.
"Come on, we get to go outside." He said.
I followed beside him, since I was a bit terrified of the others. Who shot lustful glances and some sexual. We got outside and Zoro and I took the field he unzipped his jumper wrapping the sleeves around his hips. I noticed he long stitched scar across his chest to his hip.
"What happened to you?" I asked.
"Double crossers, the last man who had your place. You look like the man who is a loyal man. You got a family?" He asked.
He started doing push ups on the grass.
"No, I had a girlfriend but I kicked this guys ass who was flirting with her. Then I got dumped ad sent here."
Zoro stopped getting up he rolled his neck and popped more bones.
"Fight me." He said, "Show me what you got."
"Fight you? You can't be serious." I chuckled.
He put up his fists, "Try me curl brow."
I swiftly kicked him in the jaw. He slowly turned to me and adjusted his jaw popping it back in place. This guy was scary strong if I could pop his jaw out of place and he could put it back just like that. We exchanged kicks and punches until we both fell to the ground out of exhaustion.
"What are," he panted, "You?"
"I'm Sanji Black," I panted, "The cook, and master of the black leg kick style."
He chuckled, "Your gonna make it here."
"What are you?"
"I'm Zoro Roronoa, the master of the three handed swordsmen. I'm the thrives hunter."
"Well moss head It's nice to meet a worthy opponent."
"Yeah, you too shit cook."
A shadow appeared above me, it was a ravenette along with a blonde.
"Zoro you got a new cell bud?" The ravenette asked.
"Yep, I've been good for a new one." Zoro chuckled.
"What's your name?" The blonde asked.
"Sanji, who are you."
"I'm Ace, this is my partner Marco." The ravenette said.
He held out his hand, I took it as he helped me up.
"You guys want to play a game?" Ace asked.
"Aren't those for kids?" I asked.
"We need something to occupy us."
He poked me and backed up slowly.
"TAG YOUR IT!"
I gasped as they ran off, I chased after Ace tackling him and poking him. We played that for a while until dinner. We all lined up in line walking down a ways, we had to be in alphabetical order B comes before R so I had to wait for Zoro. I got some slim or what ever this was they called food. That guy from earlier approached me with a large smile on his face.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"I want to make you a little deal." He said.
"I'm listening."
"I run a small bussiness with men that dress up as women, we pleasure the men of the prison an-"
"Hold I right there! I am not gay, I am head over heels for women. I'm as straight as they come."
He started chuckling, "That's how it starts, then all you want is men. Or someone takes advantage of you. Well my offer still stands, it gets you out of the ugly orange jump suit."
He strutted off making me shudder. I tried not to take his, or her, word for it. After the first couple of months. I needed to be relieved. No women means no relief. I groaned.
"What's wrong with you?" Zoro asked.
"I need women, I really need to be relieved." I groaned.
"I could call Ida, he could do it for you?"
"Yeah right, I'll concider it when I start falling in love with your sorry ass."
He chuckled, "Don't jinx it cook."
I tossed over looking at the wall, Zoro seemed to walk off I heard him walk out of the cell. The pain grew worse and it started to hurt from the lack of women curves and.... I looked over my shoulder. Eight years with this dumbass, could I live with it? Or am I going to change in the next eight years? I looked back over to the wall again. I clenched my blonde hair. No no no no way no how I ain't falling for a man. Especially him, that moss head dumbass. Something flopped on my side, I looked over seeing a play boy magazine. I gasped picking it up, looking up Zoro stood there and wiped off the corner of his mouth.
"Where did you get this?" I asked.
"Doesn't matter? Just don't make a mess."
"Why are you so nice to me?"
He didn't answer, and went back to weight lifting. I looked down at the magazine, and smiled.
"Thank you Zoro." I smiled.
We were partners, we watched each others back. Fall came around its been two yeas now, we spat insults at each other. Fought, a few kicks and punches flew, blond and moss hair fell, skin ripped and bled. Hell we were best friends, but I hated him. No it wasn't hate, something... heartfelt? No, it was to soft to be hate. Ugh whatever it was I didn't like the feeling. I tossed over in the bed, Zoro would sleep only during the day so he would work out or dig. It was a horrible plan for a man with no since of direction. His huffing was so annoying and kept me up. I tossed over looking at him. Doing push ups on the floor muttering the number he was on. I propped my head up looking at him doing push ups.
"What cha doing?" I asked.
He stopped and looked up at me from the position he was in.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" He asked.
"Keeping me awake, I'm pretty sure that's what your doing."
He rolled his eyes continuing his workout.
"So what happened to you and your of partner?" I asked.
"I already told you, he betrayed me and I killed him."
"How? I think since were best friends and all we should know about each other. In hardly know much about you mysterious moss head."
Zoro sighed and sat down crossing his arms.
"Well what do you want to know?" He asked.
"What happened between you and your other ceil mate?" I asked.
"Well about three years ago, there was this guy named Bret. Him and I caused as much trouble as we could in prison. Hell, him and I were something. I thought him and I were going to last forever. But, he escaped, and didn't take me with him. Before he could get far, I hunted him down and killed him. He took something very important to me."
Zoro danged his earrings.
"So ladies man, you married? Kids?"
I shook my head, "No one seems interested, I put myself out there but one day I will. I'll be married and have two girls and they both look like there mom. Why they call you thrives hunter? And why you hunt them?"
Zoro remained silent for a moment, before rubbing his neck and let out a deep sigh.
"My sister, she was better then me. And I looked up to her. When i was younger two thieves broke into her house while she was still home. They pushed her down the stairs and she died with a broken neck. They took her sword and pawned it off. I go looking for them all the time. I will find them."
"I'm sorry, you didn't have to tell me if you didn't want to."
He chuckled, "I trust you, since we look after each other and all. I thought maybe you should know a bit more about me."
I held out my hand to him.
"It's nice to meet you, Zoro."
He shook my hand, "Yeah it's nice to met you too Sanji."
Something happened that night, something amazing. I felt happy, maybe I found something worth loving.
"Hey Zoro, you find your purpose?" I asked.
"Heh, no one has filled the shoes of purpose for me. But when they do I'll let you know. Why?"
"Oh nothing, just thinking."
"What about?"
"Purpose, like when I get out what's going to happen? Will I find my purpose?"
"Your a cook aren't yah? Well at least you got something to go home to."
"Don't you got a family?"
"Just my dad, he adopted me when my sister died. Her and I kinda went from place to place. We eventually settled here. When she died they put me in an orphanage and he adopted me. He taught me how to use a sword. And I mastered the three swords style. Thats when I started hunting. But my dad's kind of hunter too, I really don't know what he does. He's very, quiet about it."
"Yeah my parents died too, I was a poor boy who was starving. I met my dad on a street corner. He kind of took me in and we were homeless. Until he got cancer in his leg and he cut it off before it spread everywhere. But we were on the verge of death in an ally way when an old friend of my fathers took us in. He nursed us back to health. But as soon as we got healthy again, he got sick, really sick and died three days later. He owned a restaurant and wrote it in his will for my father."
"I guess we both been through hell and back huh shit cook?"
I chuckled rolling over and looking up to the top bunk. There was a weight shift in the bed, Zoro pinned my hands above my head with one hand. His fingers brushed up to my bangs and pulled them back. I blinked scanning his face, his eyes were on mine. Motionless and surprised. His breath was soft and on my lips, I bit my lip begging for him to get a little closer. Wait! What?! No way I want this guy kissing me. Oh but a little peck couldn't hurt could it? His hand moved to my cheek getting closer to my face. God please kill me now, I can't wait much longer. I leaned up and kissed him softly, it was kind of sweet. He pushed me back down onto the pillow before pulling back.
"I-I didn't uh. Sorry." I blushed avoiding eye contact.
"I told you you would of fallen for me." Zoro hummed.
I turned my gaze back to him when it happened. He kissed me, it was soft and held meaning. It was completely different from how he looked. But I melted my way into it. Zoro let go of my hands wrapping his arms around my back. While I wrapped mine around his neck. Pulling each other tighter into each others embrace.
"Roronoa! Black! Get to bed." The officer banged on the Cell.
We pulled back, looking at each other for some kind of sign. Zoro chuckled kissing my cheek and breathing in my ear.
"I can't blame you for a crime we both committed." Zoro breathed in my ear.
He got up and turned out the light, before pulling himself up into bed. The bed creaked a little.
"Goodnight shit cook." Zoro said.
"Goodnight moss head." I smiled.
But I didn't sleep that night, my heart kept me up with his harsh beating and stringing himself to the moss headed man. I guess prison does change you, I wanted that kiss to last longer. Where would if taken us? Hell if I know, all I wanted was him. Time went on and it had been winter. The prison started to get cold.
"Hey Sanji Black, you got a visitor!" The officer called.
I shivered looking up at the officer, he cuffed me and took me out of the cell. I walked out of the prison and through some gates. They took me through a door and I as down in front of the glass wall with a telephone. Zeff sat on the other side I picked up the phone as he did.
"Hey Eggplant, how you doing?" He asked.
"I'm alright, how is everyone?" I asked.
"Oh you know, good. That girl you fought for has come in to talk about you. I told her you were in jail."
Behind him a man with black slick hair and his eyes peered to me they were like hawk eyes. But he sat down next to Zeff.
"Yeah, I'm doing well." I said.
The doors buzzed and opened, Zeff pulled out a little wrapped square item and pushed it through the whole. I got it and looked at it.
"What's this?" I asked.
The old man just smiled, "Your Christmas present. Open it."
I sighed pulling off the ribbon and taking the paper off. In my hands was a folded piece of paper. I looked up at Zeff he chuckled and waved his hand. Well whatever this paper was it got the old man happy. So I unfolded it, it was a courts order.
"What's this for?" I asked.
"Read it." He said
"Dear Mr. Senior Black,
We would like to inform you Sanji Black has kept a good behavior down in prison. Doing all the right things, helping others, and having a job down in the kitchen. Upon his good behavior we are letting him be released in October of..
"There letting me out three years earlier?"
He nodded, "Merry Christmas eggplant."
I scanned the paper over and over again. This was a real thing, no phoney paper just to mess with me. He would do this sort of thing. There was a rattling and hands slamed down to the booth next to mine.
"This is bullshit!" Zoro snapped.
Two officers came over sitting him down, I turned back to Zeff.
"You know that guy?" He asked.
I nodded, "He's my ceil mate."
The bell chimed and I was pulled from my chair and back into three doors and through the prison. Uncuffing me and threw me back in my Ceil. The doors shut as I got up holding the bars. What the hell happened to Zoro? Wait why do I care? He could die for all I care. The room was silent when chains rattled and Zoro walked up to the ceil. His cuffs were taken off and he walked in with me. We glared at the officers as they chuckled walking off.
"Dead man walking!" They called.
My eyes widened looking over to Zoro. His hands clentched the paper in his hands.
"Those bastered want to kill me off." He snarled.
"Zoro...." I gasped.
I hugged him, he was shocked as I Nuzzled into his chest.
"I'm going to save you, I promise. You protected me this long, I better do the same in return." I said.
"Good luck, you have three weeks."
I looked up at him, I couldn't believe what I was thinking. I pulled my self off him and over to the bars of the Ceil.
"Ida, I accept your offer. I'll be one of your host. Every dollar, cent, penny goes to Zoro's bail." I said.
He walked up to his Ceil, "Your willing to work for me now Blondie?"
"Yes," I said clentching the bars, "I will do it."
"Were back in bussiness boys!" He called.
The jail room filled with cheer, there was a hand on my shoulder. I turned to Zoro.
"You would, do that for me?" He asked.
"You can't die, it's you and me moss head." I smiled.
So that's how it went, I became a host. There was a room that we were all taken too, I was dressed in a long kimono with a peacock on it. Of course I was stripped down to pretty much nothing but this silky thing. I sat in the corner of the room in a booth couch that was a u shaped with a drawn transperent curtain. I was kind of nervous, but I already knew who my first costumer was going to me. The curtain drew back making my attention draw up to the green haired man. He stepped across the pillows and next to me on the couch.
"Can I get you anything?" I asked.
"Yeah, stop this stupid act. Stop it all. I'm a dead man, let me die." He said.
"Don't you see I can't."
"Why the bloody hell not?"
I turned to him putting my hand on his knee.
"Because, ugh never mind."
I got up and walked out, I grabbed a bottle of sake. The good kind and walked back, I drawn the curtain again handing it to him.
"I know you like alcohol, take it." I said.
He took the bottle uncorking the thing, he took a swig then looked at the label.
"Huh." He husked out.
"What?"
"This tastes different the last time I had it, then again I haven't had a drop of alcohol in the past six years."
I chuckled sitting next to him, "You mind if I smoke?"
He waved his hand taking another swig, I pulled out my cigarette and placed it in my lips. I pulled out the match box striking the match against the rough side. But nothing. Zoro took the box from me, in one good strike he lit it. I blinked at the flame he motioned me to get towards him and I did. Burning the flame against the white tobacco and I in hailed. Oh holy heaven this was good, ex hailing the smoke and holding it between my fingers.
"Your expensive." Zoro said.
"Hm?" I hummed.
"Fifty bucks an hour? That's crazy."
I chuckled taking another puff of smoke. When he gets drunk enough I'll tell him. He won't remember and I can get this narly feeling out of my stomach. That night in the cell with him, where we kissed. I fell in love with him, my heart grew to him and settled a spot inside for him. I wanted to tell him to get it off my chest. Just in case he doesn't feel the same back. But I wanted so much for him to love me back.
"Hey you okay? You look worried." Zoro asked.
I nodded exhailing the smoke and putting out the cigarette. He finished off the first bottle and set it on the table.
"You want me to get you another?" I asked.
"Eh, why not. A little alcohol never hurt me." He smirked.
I got up when my wrist was grabbed, I turned back to Zoro.
"I need to tell you something when you get back." He said.
"Okay?" I asked.
He let go of my hand and I went out to grab another bottle of sake. I placed it on the table, but Zoro was gone. I sat down and waited, maybe he had to go to the bathroom. Or wait to confess his undying love to me. I chuckled at that one, that's stupid. But Zoro never came back that day. I got done changing and took the heavy makeup off, I said goodbye ton the boys. But I stopped, there sitting on the bar was a tip jar written Zoro's freedom. I walked over to it looking at the few dollars inside.
"Ida? What's the meaning of this?" I asked.
He walked over and smiled, "Well we thought that since he means allot to you, and he's done so much for us. We should pitch in."
I put my money in it, "Thank you guys."
Ida had put his money in too, "Zoro deserves a little honey like you, take care of him okay?"
I nodded leaving the room and closing the door, I zipped up the rest of my suit, I was still cold in the jail. I walked back to my cell, but Zoro wasn't there. Where the hell did he go?
"Roronoa's outside if your looking for him." Ace said walking by.
I turned to him holding a few blackets, "What's going on?"
He stopped and turned to me, "Marco's getting a cold, I gotta keep him warm somehow."
Ace then turned and walked down four more cells and back to his, I followed and peeked in. Marco coughed and shivered, Ace place two more blanket's on Marco's bed. Ace held Marco's hand with a term grip. They have been together for as long as I have met them. They were both so happy to be in each other's company. I wanted something like that, an arm snaked around my waist.
"Hey Marco you get better alright?" Zoro called.
He chuckled as they turned there attention to us.
"Don't worry, I'm gonna make it. Like I do each winter." He smiled.
Zoro pulled me from there cell back to ours, his arm still around my waist.
"Where did you go?" I asked.
"I said I needed to tell you something when you get back." He said.
"When I got back you weren't there."
"Yeah because I was waiting until you got back to the cell."
"You could of been more clearer."
"Lights out in half an hour!" An officer called.
Zoro and I went into our cell, I sat on the bed with Zoro next to me.
"You wanted to tell me something?' I asked.
"Cook, I have trouble expressing my feelings. So don't laugh at me or I'll punch you." He sighed, "That day where we kissed and all, you did something to me so that's all in my mind is you. Your in my dreams, in my thoughts, and when I see you. I get a funny feeling in my stomach."
I smiled kissing his cheek, "It's okay, I know how you feel. I was planning to tel you when you got drunk. That, I love you."
"Well that would never happen, I don't get drunk, I hold my liqiur pretty well. And I love you too."
We both chuckled before embracing each other.
"Black you got a visitor, it's important so hurry up." The officer said.
I took myself from Zoro following the officer. He sat me down in front of a booth, Nami sat on the other side.
"Sanji, I'm glad you okay." She said.
"Nami I hate to ask but can you put every dollar I own into a bailing fund?" I asked.
"What on earth for?"
"I'm bailing out someone, if I don't he's gonna die."
"I can do that for you? Even the money you were saving for your resturaunt?"
I nodded, "Everything."
"This guy must be pretty important to you Sanji if tour giving up your restaurant."
I chuckled, "I love him."
Her jaw dropped as I was pulled away and back into the cell, Zoro working out as the bars drew closed. Zoro turned to me and smiled.
"Miss me already cook?" He chuckled.
"A friend is going to help me get you out of here." I smiled.
And so she did, Nami set up a fund to get Zoro out of jail. Exchange for everything I knew about the guy, who he was, how things happened, and yada yada. We eventually got enough money to be taken to court three days before the execution. Zoro and I sat at different tables while friends and family sat behind us. We stood up as the judge walked in. She walked up to her podium and sat down as the rest of us did.
"In he case of Roronoa Zoro, and bail by Black Sanji." The officer called.
"Welcome back Zoro, it's good to see you." She said.
"Yeah yeah, can I go home now?" He asked.
She read over some papers.
"So Mr. Black you are bailing out Zoro are you not?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am." I nodded.
"As Sanji Black has gathered enough money for Zoro's bail, I will set Sanji free. But for Zoro has to be bailed by family." She said.
I stood up, "Your honor, I am technically family."
"Are you his brother?" She asked.
"No."
"Cousin?"
"No."
"Fit anywhere in the bloodline?"
"No."
"Husband?"
"No."
"Then Zoro is to be executed in three days, until family comes along to step in."
"And what if we marry before the execution?"
"Then Zoro will be free."
The room filled with arguing spitting and yelling. I looked over to Zoro, then we both were taken out of the room and back into the truck. We sat next to each other, I rested my head on his shoulder.
"How bout it?" I asked.
"About what?"
"You wanna get married?"
He chuckled, "You gonna ask properly?"
I looked up at him, "Roronoa Zoro will you marry me?"
"Yeah, I'll marry you."
I was set free the first thing I did was look for a marriage license. When I did, I filled out the thing and all I needed was Zoro'a signature. It was too late today to get it signed so I waited for tomorrow. I was in my apartment watching TV, when the door was knocked on. I got up and walked to the door, I unlocked it and opened the door. My eyes widened looking at the man with yellow eyes.
"Your Roronoa's partner are you?" He asked.
I gulped and nodded slowly, he cocked a brow.
"Are you going to let me in?"
I scrambled out of the way having him come in.
"I'm sorry who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Roronoa's father, Mihawk Dracule. Roronoa didn't inherit my last name because of he isin't my real son and didn't want to dirty my family name." He said sitting down in my recliner.
"Then why didn't you step up and bail Zoro out?" I asked.
He picked up the remote to the chair, "because he told me not to, something about the whole-"
He stopped as the chair started messaging his back, his gazed turned up to me.
"What is your chair doing to my back?" He asked.
"It's massaging it, lean back more." I said.
He followed what I told him, leaning back more into the chair. He seemed pretty stiff.
"It will feel better if you try relaxing."
And so he did, "This is a nice chair."
"Yeah it was on sale a long time ago, but I was thinking about selling it."
"What for?"
"Eh, it's not comfortable anymore, but if you want you can have it."
Mihawk noticed the marriage license and picked it up.
"So your actually going through with marrying my son?" He asked.
I nodded, "I love him, he deserves a second chance."
He chuckled, "You have your mind set on marrying him."
I nodded, then the door was knocked on again. I got up and opened the door, Zeff attacked me in a hug.
"There's my eggplant." He said.
I groaned, "Dad, get off."
"I haven't seen my son in five years and now he's getting married to a man I haven't met."
"Oh my go- dad!"
He stepped in I pulled him aside, "Zoro's dad is in the living room. So don't say anything to embarrass me."
Not listening besides Zoro's dad he walked in anyway. They both started chatting, about Zoro and I, then about work. But Mihawk didn't say much about it. Just that he was a swordsmen and the topic was dropped. Then knives and then back to the marriage. After an hour or so, they both left, I turned off the chair. And sat there was the marriage license, with both there names written on it. I sat down looking at the names written on the paper. Dracule Mihawk and Zeff Red.
"Thank you." I muttered.
The next morning I was off to see Zoro, tomorrow was the day. I pulled up to the jail and walked in, they ran me through gates an metal detectors. I pulled the marriage license out of the envelope they scanned it over and handed it back. I was sat down on the other side of a glass wall, I set the envelope on the table. Zoro was sat down on the other side, he and I picked up the phone and pressed it to our ears.
"You look like hell." He chuckled.
"Your dad visited me last night." I said.
He face palmed before rubbing his face.
"Your kidding me." He grumbled.
"Completely serious." I said.
"What he say to you?"
"Eh, more along the lines of the marriage and then my dad came and they talked for an hour."
"He was judging you, he does that a lot with my friends, and old girlfriends, he did it with Bret too. But it probably went well, since he hasen't shown up yet."
"They also helped out."
In opened the envelope, and slid the paper to Zoro under the glass. He picked it up and scanned it.
Zoro smiled, "He signed it, he signed the paper. Holy, damn it cook I have never been more happier in my life."
I chuckled, "I guess it went well then."
He nodded, I slipped him a pen and he signed it. Finally I had this complete, I can go turn it in and set my husband free. Handing back the paper and pen.
"One day, I will repay you back cook." He said.
"You would of done the same for me." I said.
I put my hand on the glass, he put his on the other side of mine.
"Your going to be free Roronoa Zoro."
"When I do, it will be you and me cook."
"I love you Zoro."
"I love you too."
The guard came and took Zoro away, I sat there a moment still feeling the warmth of Zoro's hand. But then turned cold, I sighed getting up and putting the paper back in the envelope.
"Don't worry Zoro, I'll get you out of here."
I went down to the court house with the paper, they had I filed and said that we were legally married. I thanked the woman as she handed me back the paper. Going back to the jail with the marriage license and walking through the door. I walked up to the booth man and slammed the paper down.
"As Zoro's husband I would like to set him free." I said.
"I'm afraid it's to late, they have already taken him to the execution barn in the outskirts of the town." He said.
"Wh- wait his execution is tomorrow how can this be?"
"It was rescheduled for tonight."
"Damn it!"
I snatched the paper and getting into my car, I pulled out my phone. And dialed.
"Sanji? Your out of prison? Well it's good to hear from you." Ussop said.
"I need your help." I said.
"What can I do for you?"
I explained the story, Ussop knew the city like the back of his hand. He had to know where he barn was where they had taken Zoro.
"Hmm, Give me ten minutes. I need to call Franky, he should be able to track the van. Give me ten minutes. For starters get on the freeway, I'll lead you from there."
We hung up and I started up my car. Heading through streets before getting on the freeway. Damn it hurry your slow ass up. The phone rang and I answered it through my car.
"Sanji my man! Why didn't you tell me you were getting married?" Franky asked.
"I'm technically already married, but details later. Where's the van?" I asked.
"It's halfway there, but your going to make it."
"On the next exit get on it and keep going straight. There will be a gate that says do not enter. Enter it. Then your desintation should be there." Ussop said.
"Thanks you guys."
"So who's the guy?"
"Why does it matter?"
"Come on were bro's here, all I wanna know is the man's name."
"His name is Zoro Roronoa."
"No way! Zoro and I were high school buddies. We played football, and stuff, small world."
"Okay bye guys."
I hung up the phone, getting off the exit and kept going. Going through towns, and then some forests. I came across the sign that said do not enter. But I entered anyway, I went through there and ended up to the barn. I got out grabbing the paper and scrambling up to the barn. There was a lock and chain around the handles. I kicked it off and the door kicked open. I walked in, a few people sat in chairs in front of two men and Zoro sitting in the middle. They held above him a helmet. He looked up at me as the rest turned to me.
"About time you showed your scrawny little ass." He chuckled.
I pulled out the licence, "As Roronoa Zoro's husband, in have set bail to him."
The men looked to each other and then dropped the helmet to the floor. I sighed in relief, they uncuffed him. He got up and walked up to me, we embraced tightly.
"I was worried I wasn't going to make it." I sighed.
"I had hope you were."
And so then, Zoro went back to prison to change from his clothed back to the ones he had before. A white t shirt, black pants and boot, two swords, and that ugly green haramaki.
"Come on you loved that haramaki." Zoro chuckled.
I turned to him, "Shut up I'm telling a story."
"Alright daddy get on with it."
Zoro and I came home, he lived with me in my little apartment. We had a little wedding in a little chaple farther from our apartment. Then Zoro got a job as a police officer and I was back as a cook in grandpa Zeff's restaurant. Then I had you, and your brother then we moved to this house.
"So you and Dad really did go to jail?" Loulee asked.
"Yeah, that's how I met your dad." I said.
"Dad is what he said true?"
"The whole thing, there was some parts you didn't want to hear from that story so be glad we took them out."
I turned to Zoro sitting on his lap, "We?"
"Yeah we, oh also tell that husband of yours I ain't afraid of going back to jail if he leaves you." Zoro said.
He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Yeah yeah okay I get it I'll leave you guys be." Loulee said.
She kissed my check then Zoro's grabbing her car keys.
"Okay thanks for the story, I love you guys. You know, there's a name they call you guys." She giggled.
Zoro and I looked to each other then the blonde woman who was walking out the door. She turned to us and smiled blowing her blonde bangs out of her face.
"The lover and the fighter." She said.
