I Hate This Pain

A/N: This was a request.

It was heated. Everyone was circled around the two. Zoro and Sanji spitting curses and foul words to each other. Getting more and more pissed off at each other.

Sanji snapped pulling off his wedding ring and chucked it at Zoro's head. Zoro caught it before it could impact as Sanji began to storm off.

"I'm not done with you!" Zoro barked.

"Fuck off! I hate you!" Sanji hissed.

Then he jumped off the side of the ship. The crew watched as Zoro followed him to the edge of the ship finding Sanji storming off to the town they disembarked at.

"Good riddance!" Zoro barked.

But Sanji soon disappeared into the forest.  Zoro stormed the other way to the ship as he went down into the belly of the ship slamming the door shut.

"Let's let them cool off." Robin said.

They nodded going onto the island hoping to catch up with Sanji.

But.

That was three days ago.

Sanji hasn't returned.

Zoro frowned looking to his and Sanji's wedding ring next to each other. Clung to his ring and pinky finger, figured he might lose it. So. He kept it together.

"Has Sanji come back yet?" Nami asked.

"No." Zoro grunted.

"I'd have you go find him, but we all know that's a bad idea."

"I'm ready to apologize to him."

"Good. I'm sure he is too."

Nami grabbed her bag before she turned to Zoro.

"Why don't you come with me. We can get a drink or something."

"What's the catch?"

"Apologizing to Sanji."

"Sure."

Nami and Zoro headed to the town. Zoro's eye flicked from person to person. But none of them were Sanji. They all looked to him with saddened eyes. Until Chopper bounced out and trotted up to Nami. Tears dripped down his face as Nami scooped him up.

"Chopper what's wrong?" She asked.

Chopper hiccuped as he whispered in her ear.
"HE WHAT?!"

Zoro perked to that, he turned to nami who pulled a fake smile.

"Oh. Um. Zoro why don't you meet me there. Luffy did something stupid and I have to pound some since to him." Nami said.

"Sure."

Zoro wandered off. Probably going the wrong way. Nami turned to Chopper both having tears in there eyes.

"Are you sure?"

He nodded, "It's Sanji."

Zoro headed into the bar and sat at it. He got some scotch. His eyes glanced around the bar. But none of them were his ocean blue. He sighed as he rested on his palm and sipped on his scotch.

After a few hours of Nami not showing up. Zoro got up and paid before he left. He headed back to the ship which took half an hour. But he soon got there. He climbed  up onto the ship, to find, no one. He cocked a brow glancing around before he noticed the doctor light on. He chuckled thinking about Luffy getting in some fight. He wondered what challenge he was going to be up against.

But.

Something was wrong.

Blood was faint in the air.

And it wasn't Luffy's.

Zoro knows that thick smell of Luffy's blood. This one was a rare type.

"Sanji." Zoro muttered.

He bolted up the stairs before darting to the doctors room. He swung open the door. Everyone turned to him with tears in there eyes and hiccuped softly. Zoro furrowed as his eye could still not find that blonde. Until he noticed the bed.

"Leave us." Zoro said.

"Zor-"

"Nami." Luffy said.

They slowly one by one left the room. Zoro slowly walked up to Sanji's bed and knelt down to his level. He was pale, cold, and his skin was slowly purpling.

"Sanji." Zoro called, his voice cracked.

But there was no response.

"SANJI!?" Zoro cried.

Again. Sanji was unresponsive.

Zoro pulled the sheet of his bed to find a bullet wound clotted in his chest. He then looked up to Sanji.

"No." He muttered, "How could you let this happen?"

He pulled Sanji to his lap and held him close. Tears threatening to fall.

"I never meant it. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Zoro sobbed.

He clutched tighter onto the fabric of his clothes. He buried his face into his neck. Zoro's knuckles turning white and tearing slightly at his clothes.

"Don't leave me like this."

Luffy stepped inside. Zoro's gaze looked up to him. They seeked vengeance, anger, and mourning. He wanted to kill the man who killed the one thing he had loved in this world. Zoro drew his sword pointing it at Luffy.

"I won't let you take him from me." Zoro hissed.

"Zoro, we have to. We have to let him go." Luffy said.

"Come near me and I'll cut you."

"Zoro. Come on."

"I won't let you take him!"

He dropped his sword as he pulled Sanji's lifeless body closer to him. He sobbed softly into his clothes.

"I hate this pain."
