Hopefully Forgive and Forget
A/N: (Evil laughter)
Zoro groaned at the throbbing in his head. He sat up holding his head. He perked up seeing he was in his room. Some clothes were tossed around on the floor. Along with the sheets lashed around but a thin layer covered himself. Zoro looked at the time seeing it was about ten in the morning. The hardest part, is. What exactly happened last night. The only thing he can remember is going to the bar after the fight, and maybe he had one too many. But. How did he get home? Was everything resolved? Zoro turned to the golden blob of hair on the pillow next to him. Zoro chuckled leaning over and kissing the top of his forehead. He smiled softly seeing that things were just as usual.
"Good morning shitty cook." Zoro hummed.
"Shitty cook?" The man rolled over for he was not the man Zoro had been expecting.
The man sure was blonde, but his darker roots were coming in. He also had large brown eyes, and a slight dusting of freckles. Zoro froze in shock, looking at the other man that was in his bed with him. His heart sank as he swallowed thickly. Did he.....
"Wh-who are you?" Zoro asked.
"I'm Sanji, well the name you wanted me to take. Im the hooker you picked up last night. And just to say, you were pretty wild last night." The man said a smirk drawing to his lips.
Zoro groaned falling back on his pillow, "This can't be happening."
"If it makes anything better, you didn't kiss me." He said.
Zoro blinked, not kiss him. Zoro turned to the man supposedly called Sanji.
"Do you know what happened last night?" Zoro asked.
"Well, you were at the bar. You looked pretty mad, like you lost a fight to someone. And I started to chat with you, I told you I was a hooker and you then smiled and agreed to sleep with me and then we did. You kept calling me Sanji, so I just took up the name." He said.
"Zoro?" Sanji called.
Zoro winced pushing the imposter off the bed. The door opened and Sanji stepped through holding a small box. Zoro pulled the sheets to his lap. Sanji knew sometimes at night Zoro would sleep in the nude when he got too hot.
"S-Sanji, Wh-what are you doing here?" Zoro asked.
"I came to apologize. I wanted to say I'm sorry for snapping at you last night. I didn't mean it, I was tired and cranky." Sanji said, "I made you some Onigiri to help."
Sanji walked over to Zoro's side of the bed, he sat next to him setting the box beside his bed. He turned to Zoro with a sad frown on his lips.
"I'm sorry Zoro. I really am. Can you forgive me?" Sanji asked.
"Of course." Zoro said.
Sanji smiled kissing Zoro. Zoro kissed back opening one eye to watch the imposter slip by. But only to trip over some of his own clothes. And with that, Zoro was screwed. Sanji broke the kiss and turned to the fake Sanji on the floor. Zoro face palmed, Sanji turned to Zoro.
"Who's that?" Sanji asked.
Zoro sighed, "I got drunk last night and I slept with him."
Sanji bit the inside of his cheek and stood up and turned to him. His sapphire blue eyes were dark and threatening. He clutched his hands as he exhaled with a sharp breath.
"Zoro. living room. five minutes." Sanji said.
Zoro knew he was in deep shit, Sanji didn't even use full sentences. The other waved by and left, Zoro crawled out of bed. Putting on a shirt and his pajama bottoms. Zoro walked out to the living room, Sanji threw a knife at his head. Only to miss by a hair.
"Did you think I wouldn't find out!?" Sanji cried.
"I didn't mean it! I was drunk!" Zoro said.
"Bullshit!, you never get drunk. Ever!" Sanji snapped.
Zoro pulled the knife out of the wall, "Sanji can we just have a Normal talk about this?!"
Sanji jumped over the couch and over the counter to the kitchen.
"Was he better then me?! Is that it? You're bored of me?" Sanji asked.
"Of course not! At least I didn't kiss him." Zoro said.
Sanji picked up another knife throwing it, Zoro ducked.
"But you can penetrate his ass?!" Sanji spat.
"Sanji I didn't mean it!" Zoro cried.
Sanji picked up more knifes throwing them at Zoro. With each step he took. Zoro grabbed his wrists.
"Sanji, calm down." Zoro said.
"I have the right to be pissed with you! You, you CHEAT!" Sanji snapped.
They stopped, Sanji tore his grip from Zoro tears in his eyes and stormed over to the door.
"I hope you have a nice life, Roronoa Zoro." Sanji said.
Sanji chocked, leaving Zoro alone with a loud slam. Zoro slumped to the floor hugging his knees. He turned to the cabinet and opened it. Going to the pot to the back and pulled out a small box. Flipping open to a golden ring with a silver wrapped around the middle. Zoro closed the box and clutched onto it tighter.
"I didn't mean it, Sanji." Zoro muttered.
It's been a month now, Zoro was a mess. He checked his phone every ten seconds for Sanji. But Sanji hasn't called back. He tried calling Sanji, but only to hear the voice of the voice mail.
"Hey, sorry I couldn't get to you. But leave a message I'll get back to you when I can. Bye!" Sanji's voice spoke.
"Sanji, I really want to talk to you. I need to see you, I miss you. Please come home. I need you, I love you." Zoro spoke.
Sanji clutched his apron listening to Zoro's words. He wanted to speak, he wanted to tell Zoro he loved and forgave him. But his tongue never rolled a word off.
"Please Sanji, pick up the phone. I want to talk to you I want to hear your voice. Just, just, call me back." Zoro Said.
Zoro hesitated before hanging up, he put his phone on his chest. Laying on his couch looking up at the dark ceiling. Zoro sniffled, he reached out to and grabbed a handful of chocolate candy and made a pile next to his phone plopping one by one in his mouth.
"ZORO! OPEN THE DOOR!" Luffy called.
Zoro remained on the couch, plopping all the yellow candies in his mouth. Luffy pounded on the door.
"I know your in there Zoro." Luffy said.
Zoro groaned grabbing his headphones and putting them in and plugging them into his phone. He played some random song and continued to eat the chocolate. Sure he didn't like it, but it helped. The door swung open and Luffy flicked on the lights. Zoro groaned as Luffys lips were moving but no sound was coming out. Luffy stood on the couch still talking. Zoro still didn't care. Luffy pouted, pulling the ear buds from Zoro's ears.
"Zoro! Have you heard anything I just said?" Luffy asked.
"I probably don't care." Zoro said.
"Ughhh, well I went to see Sanji yesterday-"
Zoro sat up knocking his phone and candies on the couch, "Sanji?! How is he? Is he okay? Is he still mad at me?"
"He's fine, and well. He wanted to talk to you. Tomorrow morning at the coffee shop you guys met at. Something about you and him starting over." Luffy said.
Zoro smiled, "Really?"
"You have any food? I'm hungry." Luffy asked.
"Check the fridge, I should Have something." Zoro said.
Luffy stayed for a few hours, before leaving Zoro for the night. Zoro had some hope in his stomach. Zoro went through his phone at the photos of him and Sanji. One was a video of the summer. Zoro clicked the play button.
Sanji was adjusting the camera. That kept falling against the lawn table in the back of his house.
"And why can't we use your phone?" Zoro asked in the background.
"Cus I want you to remember the moment I kicked your ass at horse shoes." Sanji smiled.
Sanji backed up picking up the blue horse shoes and swung one around his finger. While Zoro stood on the other side of him holding the red ones.
"Hurry your slow ass up." Zoro grunted.
Sanji tossed the show and hit the peg and spun around to the ground.
"Beat that moss head." Sanji smirked crossing his arms.
Zoro did a slight toss hitting the peg and bounced off. Sanji laughed hysterically, Zoro groaned crossing his arms.
"Go already shitty cook." Zoro barked.
Sanji smiled tossing the shoe but Zoro kicked it.
"Hey! That's cheating!" Sanji spat.
"Oops." Zoro smirked.
"That means I win and you get to fill the pool up." Sanji smiled.
"Nuh uh. I still have two." Zoro said.
"You kicked mine! That's not fair."
They both argued forehead pressed against the other. Before Zoro licked Sanji's nose and tackled him to the ground tickling him. Sanji laughing and crying for help. Zoro stopped and looked down at the blonde haired man. Sanji reached up and wrapped his arms around Zoro's neck and kissed him softly. Before the camera fell over looking up at the sky.
"Zoro the camera fell over go fix it." Sanji called.
Zoro groaned, for a second you could see Zoro's face before seeing Sanji with his shirt up halfway. Then the video ended. Zoro smiled to himself seeing Sanji smile at the camera sitting up on his elbows. Zoro flipped through some more videos and pictures of last year or two years ago. Sanji was willing to start over with Zoro again. And maybe finally Zoro could actually have Sanji back and get married and seddle down. Zoro smiled falling asleep, he was going to get his life back. The next morning Zoro changed and showered. The chocolate candies melted to himself and on the couch but he could clean it up later. Zoro put on his skinny jeans Sanji liked and button up shirt and didn't button up from the last three buttons to the top. Zoro left and walked down the street to the coffee shop on the corner. Sanji sat at the table by the window, Zoro looked in and they both smiled. Sanji waved and patted the spot in front of his. Zoro went in and took the open seat.
"It's good to see you." Zoro said.
Sanji smiled, "It's good to see you too, I would of called. But I didn't think you wanted to talk to me."
"Are you kidding? I wouldn't of hesitated to answer." Zoro said.
Sanji chuckled, "I wanted to talk to you about something."
The space next to Sanji was filled with a tall darker skinned man with a white and blue bandana. Passing out the three coffees. Zoro clutched his knees as the man kissed Sanji's cheek and Sanji let out a soft giggle. Zoro's blood started to boil.
"Zoro, this is Gin. Gin this is Zoro." Sanji said.
Gin held out his hand, Zoro shook his and went back to clutching his pants.
"Zoro, I wanted to start over. I want to still be your friend and all. Is that okay?" Sanji asked.
Zoro released his jeans from his deadly grip and sighed.
"Yeah that's fine." Zoro said.
"Great, that makes me happy." Sanji smiled.
After a moment of slience Sanji broke.
"Gin, Zoro, excuse me. I have to use the restroom." Sanji said.
Gin smiled watching him walk off, then disappeared behind the door. Gin turned back to Zoro, who grabbed him and pinned him against the glass.
"Listen here punk, you better not fuck up. You take good care of the shit cook. Or I'll end you! Everyday after he's done with work get up off your lazy ass and greet him at the door. Don't tickle him he hates it. He likes his coffee with too much sugar, and not much milk." Gin slid down on the glass as Zoro backed off, "Just, don't fuck up."
Zoro backed up and left the coffee shop. Gin rubbed his throat as he watched the green haired man walk down the street.
"Gin? What's going on? What happened to Zoro?" Sanji asked.
Gin turned to Sanji, "He, he left."
Sanji checked every inch of Gins body before turning to the window.
(I have two different endings to the story, couldn't figure out which one to pick)
It's been a year, Zoro moved to a new apartment closer to work on the other side of town. Sanji would come and visit once a month telling him about what he misses between them. And new things between Gin and him. Zoro was okay with the guy now, he was actually happy that Sanji was happy. Gin would visit rarely and he was okay with Sanji to visit him.
The door was knocked on and Zoro froze in mid drink of his beer and looked at the door. He set down his beer and looked at the time. It was nine o'clock at night. He got up pulling on a shirt that was hanging over a chair. He walked over to the door and opened it. The chain locking the door sprung the door to open to a certain point. Zoro looked out to see Sanji smiling ear to ear. Zoro closed the door to unlock the chain and opened the door. Sanji tackled him in a hug burying his head in his chest.
"Zoro I can't believe you did that!" Sanji said.
"What are you talking about?" Zoro asked.
Sanji backed up showing him the golden ring with a silver band around it.
"This silly." Sanji said.
Zoro took Sanji's hand admiring the ring, yes the one Zoro was going to use to propose to Sanji. Zoro gave it to Gin when he told Zoro he was going to propose.
"Well I had no use for it, it was yours anyway." Zoro said.
"Thank you." Sanji said.
"Of course, so how did it all go down?" Zoro asked shutting the door.
"In exchange for a beer." Sanji said strutting to the couch and kicking up his feet on the coffee table. Zoro sighed going into the kitchen and pulling out a beer. Popping off the cap and walking to Sanji and handing it to him.
"Thanks bud." Sanji smiled.
"Anytime, pal." Zoro said sitting next to him.
Zoro picked up the beer and took a drink. Sanji took a drink, "well it started three days ago."
Sanji went into detail of how Gin was acting nervous and was busy with stuff more often. Zoro smiled at the story, he would of acted that way as well. But the way Sanji lit up about it made him happy.
"And so Gin took me out on a picnic and then it started to rain. Which was turning into a disaster. Or so I thought." Sanji smiled, "He went to pull a hankerchef from his pocket but it was the ring and. He asked me to marry him."
"How nice, is that all you came over for?" Zoro asked.
"No actually, I wanted to ask. Would you, would you be my best man? Please, your my best friend and it would mean a lot to me if you could." Sanji asked.
"Eh? Why don't you ask someone else. I don't know much about being a best man." Zoro said.
Sanji scooted closer setting down his beer and holding Zoro's hands.
"Come on, I would really," he shooter closer hip to hip, "really appreciate it."
Zoro groaned, "Fine."
Sanji smiled and hugged Zoro, "Thank you Zoro, so very much."
He sighed hugging him back, "Yeah, it's the least I can do."
A year later and the wedding happened, Zoro yawned sitting in the chair next to Sanji who was getting pampered. Zoro couldn't help but sit and watch his smug smile splatter across his face. His face was being powered and hair being brushed. It was time for the grooms men to get ready from both sides of the grooms. But Zoro sat and waited.
"Zoro that's your que, you gotta go meet up with the others." Sanji smiled fixing his veil.
Zoro stood up and cupped Sanji's face. He kissed Sanji who remained frozen for a moment. Zoro pulled back pulling the veil down.
"Your a pretty handsome bride." Zoro said.
Sanji sat with mouth slightly open and scanning Zoro's face. Zoro turned and walked out, he joined up with the others and took his place with the rest of the grooms men. Zoro linked arms with the best man Law. They walked down the isle and parted to the end and took there places. Gin was the last man then everyone rose and turned to the double doors. Sanji stood linked arms with his father and he looked up at the alter.
"Wow." Zoro and Gin muttered.
Sanji strolled down the isle and the ceremony began. Afterward, Zoro slumped launching grapes off a fork and spoon and into his mouth.
"Impressive." A voice spoke.
Zoro turned to the owner, Law leaned against the chair above him. The grape hit him in the forehead. Law snickered leaning against the chair.
"How about you and me ditch this place and go somewhere fun?" Law asked.
Zoro smirked, "Lead the way."
(2nd ending)
Zoro sat on the couch reading the paper. Half of his boxes were in his new apartment across town and was in the middle of taking stuff out to the new place. But he couldn't do much today because it started raining. And when he was almost done.
"I hate rainy days." Zoro muttered looking out the window.
The door was knocked on, Zoro looked to the door.
"I wasn't expecting anyone today." Zoro said.
Zoro got up and went to the door and unlocking the door and opening it. There stood a soaken wet Sanji. He sniffled and ran his wet sleeve under his nose. Zoro stood slightly shocked.
"Sanji?! Did you walk here from your house?!" Zoro asked.
"I had to." Sanji said.
Zoro had him come inside pulling out a towel from a box. And towel drying his hair. He grumbled telling Sanji if it was important he should of called him and he would of picked him up in a second.
"Why are you here." Zoro asked.
Sanji put his hands on Zoro's, "I wanted to talk to you."
Sanji pulled the towel off his head putting the towel around his neck. He looked up at him with sad eyes. It sure was going to be important if he gave Zoro that look.
"You can talk to me later, you need to take a hot bath. Or you will catch a cold." Zoro said.
Zoro was already striping him of his wet clothes and putting them by the heater. Sanji was already siting in the tub as it filled up with warm water. Zoro went through his dresser pulling out some small clothes that didn't fit him. And underwear. Zoro went into the bathroom dropping the clothes off. Sanji sat in the tub water to his nose level. His knees sticking out. Sanji looked to Zoro straightening up.
"I want to talk to you." Sanji said.
"Alright what is it?" Zoro asked.
"Get in the tub." Sanji said.
"Wh- what? What about Gin?" Zoro asked.
Sanji pulled up his knees, "Who cares about him."
Zoro stripped and went into the tub. Sanji had tears in his eyes. He looked up at Zoro before splashing the water and crying on Zoro's chest. He cried about Gin left him for another man. Zoro held him until he fell asleep crying. Zoro picked him up and put a shirt on him and put him on his bed. Tucking him in and kissing him softly before leaving. Zoro slept out on the couch. Sanji woke up in the middle of the night and sat up. He looked out on the living room to see Zoro sleeping on the couch. Sanji got out of bed and went up to the sleeping man. He knelt down and poked his naked chest.
"Zoro." Sanji whispered.
Zoro's snores hiccuped as he scratched his chest where Sanji poked.
"Wake up you lazy policemen." Sanji said.
Zoro groaned rolling over. Sanji had almost given up hope when he leaned over and kissed Zoro. Hoping he wouldn't wake up. Which he did, and kissed Sanji back. Sanji pulled back and looked at the green haired man who yawned.
"What are you doing up?" Zoro asked.
"I can't sleep, can you sleep with me?" Sanji asked.
Zoro chuckled and followed the blonde to bed. And, there relationship was back to normal. But only with one difference.
"Sanji! I'm so happy for you!" Nami cried.
Sanji spun the golden ring around his finger. Zoro sat beside him arm around him as Sanji gossiped about his engagement. Sanji lit up about his wedding with Zoro and the whole accident cheat was thrown under the rug.
You can hate me later.
