Chapter 2
When they arrived, the disco was already packed.
Looking at the posters that decorated the walls of the venue, the boys realized that a DJ who had gained popularity in recent months was performing that night. Jungkook knew who he was through Jimin, who always tried to keep up with everything even if he couldn't get out, but Jungkook didn't get much attention. At least not to the point of his friends, who were crazy to have been lucky enough to coincide in one of his events.
After waiting in line for a while, they were finally able to get inside, Jungkook making sure to be as close to his friends as possible. The smell of both was something comforting for him, and it helped calm his nerves while reducing all those smells that began to assail his nose.
The atmosphere, in general, was not as bad as Jungkook had originally thought. Yes, he could smell the fragrance of the artificial perfumes with which some omegas, even some betas, had sprayed his skin. They weren't overly unpleasant smells, but the young man knew that all of that would get worse once their bodies began to sweat.
The three friends decided to stop by the bar first and have a drink before hitting the dance floor, knowing that afterwards it would be practically impossible. In addition, most were currently occupying the entire track, leaving them the only option to watch until they got tired and they could take over.
While they drank their drinks, the boys took the opportunity to talk about how their day had gone, being interrupted from time to time by an alpha who tried, uselessly, get into his pants. Some got the message pretty quickly and disappeared, but there were others who were very persistent, or very idiotic.
"Here comes another." Jungkook warned so that only Jimin and Taehyung could hear him. And for the pints, this guy was going to put up a lot of trouble. To his right, Jimin blurted out something like 'fuck not again', though he said it more to himself and Jungkook wasn't sure. To his left, Taehyung seemed the epitome of tired and bored with the whole situation, but he didn't say anything.
"Hi handsome. Would you like to play with me for a bit?" The alpha who had approached them had his gaze focused on Taehyung, and was clearly about to go into heat if one paid attention to the pheromones that accompanied his natural scent.
"I already have a partner, so get lost." Taehyung replied while proudly displaying the mark that adorned his neck. The alpha grimaced in discontent and made a move to leave. That's when he noticed Jungkook's presence, looking at his neck for any marks. When he didn't see any, his eyes sparkled with lust and something akin to triumph.
"How about you? I don't see any marks." Jungkook had to suppress the urge to vomit as he smelled the alpha's essence, which had grown stronger in an attempt to captivate him. "Do not even try." Jimin, who had tensed up and ready to face the other alpha if need be, warned him.
"Why not? It is not marked." The alpha replied with annoyance.
"He doesn't want it." Jimin replied just as quickly.
"I'd like to hear it from your lips." The alpha said as he returned his gaze to Jungkook's. "Tell me, omega. Would you like to have a fun night? I promise it will be entertaining."
Jungkook vehemently denied. "I am not interested." Instinctively, he stepped back and leaned further on the bar, a gesture the alpha interpreted as if Jungkook was playing tough, daring him to insist, and not as the omega's last resort to get away from his scent.
“Oh come on, don't be difficult. You and I know that we could have a great time together. I'll even let you know what it's like to have a knot in that hole of yours."
In the same instant that the alpha raised his hand to touch his face, Jungkook felt Jimin move to get between them and push the annoying alpha away. However, before all that could come to pass, a voice behind them held them motionless.
"Cut the roll, will you? The boy has told you that he doesn't want anything, so respect his decision and get lost. " It was the waiter who served the bar who spoke. He continued to make drinks as if just stopping to look at the alpha was a waste of time.
"Mind your own business, asshole." The alpha snapped, annoyed by the interruption.
At that moment the waiter stopped what he was doing and looked him in the eye with a cold and threatening expression. "Look, kid. From the moment you annoy others, it becomes my problem. The boy said no. Accept it and get out. And if you have problems finding the exit, the goalkeepers will surely show it to you."
As if they had sensed that they were talking about them, one of the porters turned to the bar, raising a questioning eyebrow at the annoyed look of the bartender. The alpha noticed and simply clicked his tongue in disdain before walking away. Neither of them relaxed until they were out of sight.
"Are you OK?" The waiter asked, to which all three responded with a nod. Thank you for having intervened. If not for you, I would have ended up smashing his face." Jimin said.
"You're welcome." The waiter replied with a smile. "I'm used to dealing with guys like that. Fortunately, it doesn't happen every day. If one of them gets heavy, you tell me or the boys."
After that, the three of them stepped onto the dance floor, now that it was a bit clearer, to enjoy the music while they danced. The only illumination on the track were the different colored lights that flashed intermittently and moved randomly, making it virtually impossible to recognize anyone amid the dark blue hue that flooded the track.
It was the perfect place to brush up against anyone you wanted, without fear that someone would see you unless they tripped on your face. For the same reason, it was the place where the smell of lust, desire and sex became more prevalent.
Jungkook was sure he had seen a boy with his dick exposed, rubbing himself against the other boy's thigh as he devoured him with his mouth and encouraged him to continue.
When sweat began to mix with the pheromone perfumes that some had worn, Jungkook knew that he could not last much longer on the track. He did not understand the need for some to disguise their own scent, their true essence, to get someone's attention. Even if you wanted to use them, the right thing to do was to use a suppressant to mask your smell and then put on the pheromone perfume.
But of course, suppressants weren't exactly cheap, and people preferred to use perfume directly. It was like mixing water with oil, and the combination left behind a foul odor, as the body rejected an odor that was not its own.
Despair.
That was the only explanation for an omega or beta to go to this extreme and for an alpha to miss it. Both parties had to be desperate.
With some difficulty, due to the volume of the music and the continuous movements of people around him, Jungkook informed his friends that he was retiring to the bar permanently. Although they both preferred that he stay with them, in case there was an incident, they knew that the young man would find himself too uncomfortable surrounded by so many smells.
After assuring them that if he had a problem he would tell the bartender, or the doormen, Jungkook left the floor and headed for the bar. Once there, he ordered a cocktail that wasn't too strong, wanting to continue to have full use of his powers for when they had to go home.
"Hey, everything okay?" Jungkook looked up and found himself face to face with the waiter who had helped them. “Oh yeah, don't worry. It's just that the atmosphere on the track is too charged for my liking." He answered while wrinkling his nose.
"Sensitive to odors, from what I see." The waiter commented.
"You don't know how much."
Knowing that he would be unable to get back on track and leave in one piece, Jungkook decided to make himself comfortable on one of the free stools and enjoy his drink and the rhythm of the music. After a few minutes, Jungkook began to feel a little more heated, and although at first he thought it was due to the human heat that people gave off, or the cocktail he was drinking, he only had to look up to realize that someone was. watching from the other side of the bar.
He was a man, with white skin and black hair that covered his forehead. From his position, Jungkook couldn't see the color of her eyes, which were staring at him without blinking. There was something about them that mesmerized him, kept him from looking away, no matter how much that had been his first instinct. He looked young, but older than Jungkook, maybe a couple of years older.
Jungkook didn't really know what to do. First, he wasn't entirely sure that this man was looking specifically at him, although his instincts told him otherwise. Second, and more important, Jungkook tried to stay away from alphas. He knew that they were not all the same, but everyone he had met, except Jimin, was arrogant who believed themselves to be the navel of the world and who expected omegas to spread their legs with just one look.
Over the years, Jungkook had learned to capture and decipher those looks long before an alpha approached him. However, the look of that man puzzled him, because it looked like what he had become so used to seeing in an alpha, but at the same time it was completely different. Even her heartbeat had gotten out of control, and it wasn't out of fear,
But before he could dig deeper into the meaning of that look, Jimin and Taehyung blocked his field of vision. They had come to drink water and take a little break before getting back on track and making sure Jungkook was okay. After assuring them that he was fine and insisting that they enjoy this evening together, the couple faded out of sight in the crowd. When Jungkook turned his gaze to the other side of the bar, a feeling of disappointment washed over his body.
The man who had been looking at him was no longer there. He didn't really understand why he felt that way, if he hadn't even exchanged a word with him, but the truth is that the feeling was there. The young man shook his head slightly, hoping that with the movement the sensation would disappear.
