Chapter 7

Nikita and Andrew were already in the dance floor dancing to the songs played by the DJ while Luna and Leo just sat on the sofa looking at them. Both of them were actually feeling awkward with each other. Leo realized that Luna doesn’t talk much and still act nervous towards him.

He decided to loose some tension between them and start a conversation, “They both make a cute couple, aren’t they?” pointing out at both Nikita and Andrew on the dance floor,

Luna turned her attention at them smiling and nodding her head, “They definite are.”

“Do you know that Andrew actually had a crush on Nikita?” Leo told her.

She looked at Leo in shock, “Really? He told you?” she asked cheerfully. “Hmm, I knew he does have a feeling towards her,” she chuckled. Wow this girl really has a beautiful smile, Leo said to himself.

“Yes he does,” he chuckled back at her, “He scared to tell her about his feeling because he doesn’t want her to hate him,” he told her.

“Really? Nikita felt the same way too,” she laughed. “She’s been having a crushed on him ever since they were partners in History,” she explained.

“No wonder she’s so happy when Andrew told her that she will be his date for tonight,” laughed Leo.

Luna laughed with him. ”Yeah, she's been waiting for him to ask her out,” she mocked.

Leo could finally feels that Luna finally relax around him, “So, how long have you know those two?” he asked her.

“Well, since junior high. I’ve known Andrew first and Nikita two months later when she moved in. Three of us were in the same class almost every subject,” she told him.

“Andrew has always been a very popular guy in school, even during his freshmen years,” she chuckled remembering the first time she meet Andrew, “He’s very handsome back then. He still handsome right now. That’s what made Nikita and other girls’ falls for him.”

Leo smiled, “Are you one of the girls that fall for him too?”

“Nay,” Luna shook her head showing disgusting face, “He's not my type.”

“Really?” asked Leo, “What is your type?” he challenged.

She bites her fingers while thinking of an answer which Leo thought looks cute, “Hmm, I don't really know,” she honestly replied. “But I definitely sure that Andrew is not my type,” she laughed again and Leo joining in her laughed.

“How long have you known Andrew?” she asked him when their laugh subsides.

“Since we're babies,” Leo told her.

“Wow, that long?” Luna was impressed with his replied, “I'm amazed but you two didn't go to the same school and seldom sees each other. How could you both still maintain your friendship?” she queried.

“Our mothers are best friends. They have known each other since college,” he explained. “Our family will spend a holiday together every year, either at his family holiday's home or mine.”

“Oh I see,” nodded Luna, “But surprisingly his parent didn't send him to boarding school with you?”

“Well that's because his father wanted him to go to a public school here, unlike my father agreed to whatever suggested by my mother,” he sighed as if bored with his mother attitude.

“How is it feels going to a boarding school in such a young age?” Luna asked again.

“Boring at first,” he replied, “But after a while you get used to it. It's actually teaches me to be more independent and confident with myself.”

“It’s really did you well doesn't it?” she queried. “You act more mature than any guys your age,” she compliments.

“Really? Is that good or bad?” he asked.

“Good, definitely good,” explained Luna, “It’s actually a compliment.”

“Hmm, thank you,” nodding his head.

“So I guess you must have a lot of girlfriends back there,” she jokes.

“Hmm, I won’t deny that,” Leo mocked, “but just like Andrew, I didn’t fall for them. It’s them who fall for me.”

Luna scoffed, “Yeah right.”

Leo laughed, “What about you? There must be a lot of guys fall for you?”

Luna blushed, “Maybe,” she joked.

“I’m not surprised,” Leo sincerely admitted.

Luna blushed, “Nay, I’m just joking. Guys not really interested in me. They are more interested in Nikita,” she told him.

“I don’t believe you,” said Leo, “You are such a beautiful and attractive girl. It must be you who shut them down.”

Luna blushed again, “You said I’m beautiful because of this make-up, without it I think you’ll run away,” she jokes again. “Without it I look like a vampire,” she added and made an ugly face at him.

Leo laughed at her remark, “Well vampires are actually beautiful, even the male vampires are beautiful, not handsome but beautiful.”

Luna laughed with him, “I agree with you on that,” but added, “but I definitely no match to your girlfriend.”

“My girlfriend?” Leo queered. “I don’t have any girlfriend,” he said as a matter-of-fact.

Luna rolled her eyes, “Guys! They never want to admit they have one when they’re with another girl,” she smirked.

“Well I’m not like other guys,” he smirked back at her, “and I really don’t have a girlfriend.”

“What about the blond girl sitting besides you tonight?” she asked, “Isn’t she’s your girlfriend?”

“You mean Lindsay?” he chuckled, “She’s definitely not my girlfriend. Definitely not the type of a girl I would like to call my girlfriend.”

“What is you type of girl?” questioned Luna.

“Hmm,” said Leo thinking and then he smiled at her, “Somebody like you, I guess,” he told her directly making Luna blushed again. “Somebody sweet, beautiful and innocent,” he added.

Luna chuckled and took her glass for them table and drink the punch she’s order before saying to him, “Once you get to know me, I don’t think you’ll think the same about me.”

“Well, why don’t you let me try to get to know you?” he smiled, “Then I’ll tell you what I really think about you,” and drink his beer.

His words made her blushed again, Luna smiled, “Well, I think its best that you don’t waste your time with me.”

“See!” pointed Leo, “I know you are the one who shut the guys away from you. I’m definitely sure that guys were interested to get to know just as I am right now,” he told her frankly and looking at her directly into her eyes. Wow, she got amazing eyes and it’s making his heart beat so fast. He had seen those eyes before but couldn’t remember where.

His eyes then drop onto her lips, beautiful kissable lips and felt the urged of pulling her into his arm and kiss her senselessly. God, those lips look so inviting whenever she opened her mouth either to speak or just smiled.

He didn’t realize how long he has been staring at her until Luna brought him back to their conversation, “I’m not shutting guys out. I just don’t want them to waste their time with me, especially rich guys like you,” she told him softly while her fingers playing with the mouth of her glass.

“What’s wrong with rich guys like me?” he asked softly moving closer to her.

She realized that he moved closer and when their knees knock with each other, a weird sensation feelings running through her veins. Why is she feeling this way? She asked herself. She swiftly moved slightly further from him and he swiftly move closer to her again. She gulped nervously not daring to look at him.

Leo could feel her nervousness. He didn’t want her to shut him away from her. He really wanted to get to know her. Knowing that if he really wanted her to give a chance to get to know her, he needs to slow down. He needs to slowly gain her confidence before pursuing further, he told himself.

He surprised her when he took her hand and stood up, “Let’s dance,” he said pulling her up at the same time. Luna hesitated at the moment but Leo dragged her to the dance floor without giving her a chance to deny him. One on the dance floor, Leo started doing a crazy dance which make Luna laughed at him. She finally relaxed and started to dance with him.

It’s nearly 2.00 pm when they finally decided to go home. They walked together to the car park since Nikita also have her car parked somewhere in the hotel. Nikita walked with Andrew in front while Luna and Leo behind them.

“It has been a great night,” Leo started.

Luna smiled at him, “Yes, it is,” nodding her head in agreement.

“I love to see you again,” he told her.  Luna blushed. She wanted to see him again too but afraid about what might happen if his parents know about it. She hesitated.

“I…” she stated to say.

“Please don’t say no.” he cut her off and pleaded at the same time.

Luna smiled at him and again, Leo feels the urged to pull her into a kiss but refrained himself for doing so. He didn’t want her to push him away just because he couldn’t control himself.

He gave her a pleading look which makes her laughed softly before replying to him, “I love to see you again too.”

He smiled and before he could asked her further, Andrew interrupted, “Nikita invited us to her Auntie’s grand opening tomorrow,” he told Leo.

“Yeah, Leo,” confirmed Nikita smiling besides him. “I would like you and Andrew to come. Both of us will be modeling for some of her new designs tomorrow. Four of us could go somewhere again after the event, if you like.”

Leo smiled at Luna before replied, “Yeah, that’s a good idea. I would love to see both of you modeling again,” he teased.

“Hmm, I think you prefer to see my friend than me,” Nikita teasing him back and giggling at the same time. Luna blushed and pinched her softly.

“Ah, right,” injected Andrew, “but I definitely love to see you,” he admitted and kiss Nikita on the cheek.

“I love to see you too,” blushed Nikita and Andrew pulled her aside giving her full kiss on the lips.

Luna eyes went wide open while Leo chuckled, “Ah, they finally go for it.”

They finally said goodbyes to the boys and drove home. Luna mind was still on Leo when Nikita asked to her, “He’s charming isn’t he?”

“Who? Andew?” Luna asked.

“Andrew is definitely charming, no questions about it,” chuckled Nikita, “I talking about Leo.”

Luna smiled,”Yeah,” she said dreamingly.

Nikita smirked, “I could see that he really likes you.”

Luna blushed, “You think so?” she asked shyly.

“Yeah, I could see the way he looks at you,” nodded Nikita.

“Really?” asked Luna again.

“Yeah, he looked like he wanted to get into pants if you let him,” laughed Nikita. Luna blushed and playfully hit Nikita, blushing away but couldn’t help but suppressed a giggle too.
