Chapter 1: On Repeat

Hello again! I finally wrote the first chapter to the much-anticipated sequel to my story, We Belong Together. I think I have most of this story figured out, or at least loosely. It's going to be another crazy ride, so I hope you all enjoy! =)

And as last time, I do not own Tom Felton (even though I so wish I did), or any of the other actors in this story. =/

I now present chapter one! =)

Adrianna sat her bag down on the floor next to her desk. It had been another long day of class for her. She had taken another over-full semester, trying her hardest to pull through schooling faster than she needed too. The girl just wanted to get it done and over with as fast as she physically and possibly could. So far, she had managed to knock out a majority of her credits, and was finally in her last semester of college. The girl had only a few more months left of the tedious, everyday life she had now, and then she could move on to bigger and better things, like the career she had always wanted.

Before going back into the living room, the girl glanced at the clock. 5:36 flashed back at her. The girl sighed; she really had no time to relax right now. Now that she was home for the day, she had to get on figuring out what she was going to be making for dinner. Just over a year ago, Adrianna wouldn't have placed herself in a new home, wondering what she was going to be making for supper. But then again, a lot had changed since the first September she had spent in London.

Since she had moved here, so many things had changed in her life. She started a new school, gotten a new job, met new friends, lost some... but perhaps the biggest change she had made in her life was that in her love life. After living here for only a few months, Adrianna's boyfriend, Matthias, had dumped her. Admittedly, Adrianna wasn't sure how that was going to go for her, until she had met someone who turned her life completely around. The day after Matthias had called it quits with her, Adrianna had met Tom Felton, a rather famous actor, at a local night club. Little did she know how much of an impact he was going to be making on her life.

Since that night, the two of them had practically been inseparable, and it was only a matter of time before he had asked her out. Over a year and a half later, they were still going strong. Only difference now was that Adrianna had moved in with him, leaving her old apartment life behind her. Her friend, Valarie, had moved in when she moved out to keep her other best friend, Marisa, company, but mostly because Valarie got kicked out of her own apartment for throwing a television onto the landlord's car after a dispute. Although they no longer lived together, the girls remained close, of course it helped that their boyfriends were all great friends as well.

The girl went back into the living room, passing through it to get to the kitchen. She could tell at some point today, Tom had been home. There were a few bags from the local grocery store sitting on top of the counter, a note placed next to it. Curiously, Adrianna picked it up, reading it carefully.

'Dree,

I stopped at the store on my break from filming. I suddenly had a craving for lasagna, so I got the stuff for you to make some. I had just enough time to make the sauce before going back, so it's in the fridge. I should be home around seven, if all goes well. Hope class wasn't too bad today. I'll see you when I get home.

Love, Tom'

Adrianna smiled, setting the note back down on the counter. This was nothing new; Tom was notorious for random food craving. He was, after all, the reason that none of the robes in the Harry Potter movies had real pockets. She had heard many a story where he had snuck food onto the set in his robes, and would eat between takes. Adrianna was just glad that he loved her cooking so far. The girl certainly didn't mind cooking every once in a while, especially if it was a meal she enjoyed as much as lasagna.

Without hesitation, the girl began making the recipe she had memorized many years ago. Lasagna was one of the first meals she had learned to make as a teenager, and she hadn't forgotten it. It didn't take Adrianna very long to make, and sure enough, she had it in the oven cooking only a short time later.

While she waited, Adrianna took a seat in the living room. Adrianna was soon joined by Timber, Tom's Chesapeake Bay retriever. The dog lay at her feet, just like she always did. Adrianna flipped aimlessly through the channels on the television for a bit, eventually watching a rerun of The Big Bang Theory. The girl got comfortable on the couch, trying her hardest not to fall asleep waiting for both dinner to be done, and for Tom to get home. Minutes passed like hours, and Adrianna was beginning to think she had been lying there forever when she noticed Timber's eyes go to the door.

The girl halfway sat up, just enough to get a better look of what the dog had noticed. Within seconds of sitting up, Adrianna saw the door open slowly, someone stepping into the house. Even in the dim lighting, Adrianna knew it was Tom, mostly because Timber stayed put next to her.

"Well hello beautiful," Tom greeted, approaching Adrianna. He took a seat on the couch next to her. "Long day at class again?"

Adrianna hardly nodded. "As always," she sighed. "I'm just ready to eat, bathe, and go to bed. How was your day? Better than mine, I hope."

Tom shrugged. "Just more filming as always. We're almost done with this one though, so I can get onto a new one here soon."

"I'm just glad this one is so close to home," Adrianna smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "I still get to see you every night."

Tom smiled. "Me too." Before he could add anything else, both he and Adrianna heard the microwave beep, something that both were all too familiar with. Dinner was finally done. "Bet I can beat you to the kitchen," he challenged her.

Adrianna rolled her eyes. "Doubtful."

In a fit of giggles, both of them ran to the kitchen, neither really ahead of the other. Adrianna came to a stop in front of the oven; in one swift motion she placed an oven mitt on her hand and opened the oven door. She pulled out the lasagna, setting it on some pot holders on the table. As she set it down, Tom set the table for the two of them.

As the two of them started to eat their dinner, Tom struck up another conversation. If there was one thing Adrianna could say, it was that they had never had a silent meal. "So did you talk to Val or Marisa today?" he asked.

Adrianna thought about it. "Hmmm... nope. Guess I didn't. They must be busy or something," she thought out loud. "Usually I've heard from them by now."

Tom didn't speak for a moment. "Well... maybe that's a good thing you haven't. I mean... I know they're your friends and all, but you certainly need breaks from each other now and then."

"Tell me about it," Adrianna sighed. She knew she needed breaks from her friends every once in a while. Sometimes they ran out of things to talk about, and then they would end up rambling about one thing or another. To be honest, sometimes she just wanted to be left alone to her own thoughts, but with her friends, there were many times Adrianna wasn't able to think clearly. Although Marisa was able to handle her life rather well for her age, Val still acted much like a teenager at times, and often over-reacted on situations. Honestly, Adrianna just didn't want to hear the often sad reasons for why she was upset with her boyfriend, Matt. "Maybe they've run out of things to tell me for now. I'm certainly not complaining. I mean... I moved in so I could have more privacy; it's about time they realized that."

"True," Tom said. "Maybe they've finally realized that and want to give you some space. Or maybe they think I'll get mad or something."

Adrianna about laughed. "You mad? Ha, I don't think I've seen that in... wow... over a year ago now. I honestly don't think you have a mean bone in your body."

"Oh I do," Tom assured. "I just don't like using it. I usually don't have a reason to."

"True," Adrianna said between bites. "So what's on the agenda for tomorrow?"

Tom thought about it for a moment. "Well, tomorrow is Thursday, so... more filming for me, and work and class for you, right?"

"Same shizz, different day," Adrianna sighed. If there was one thing she was truly getting tired of, it was the repetitiveness and predictability of her and Tom's schedules as of recent. Someway, somehow, the girl wanted to change that. She just didn't know how she was going to manage it.
