Fifteen: I Have Fallen In Love
Author:
Okay, I have decided to not separate book 1 and 2 'cause it'll make things complicated, which means it'll be longer than you'd expect. And yes, it won't end on chapter 20.
Also, thank you so much. Thank you for reading my fanfiction. I never thought it would have a damn lot of reads. I kinda wanted to write an Ayushiki fanfiction and never even dreamed of having a lot of reads. It really motivates me when people vote and comment that they like it. I was once before a really sloppy writer, but I promise you, I will improve my writing skills for my fanfiction. Anyway, go ahead and continue reading! Thank you once again!

Third Person P.O.V.
Over the past weekend, Ayumi was having trouble with her feelings. She was confused if she did fall for him or not.
But, who's this 'him' she's referring to?
Of course, she's referring to the guy that saved her last time, Yoshiki Kishinuma.
She thought about it thoroughly. She kept denying and denying, saying that she only likes Mochida.
But why? Why is she looking for Yoshiki instead of Mochida? Because Yoshiki made her feel something that was clearly unexpected.
Love.
She likes Mochida, but, she only LIKES him. She likes him maybe because of his kindness, but did he care for Ayumi? We'll never know. But, did he save Ayumi from harm? No. Did he stay by her side? No.
Yoshiki did all of this. He may not be kind, but he cared for Ayumi more than anyone else. He saved her because he doesn't want Ayumi to be in danger. He stayed by her side to accompany her, to help her. He did all of this because he loves Ayumi.
But, does Ayumi love Yoshiki?
Ayumi kept asking herself, "Do I love him? Do I love him? Do I really love him...?"
She stared into the void and thought, "If I get jealous because of him, then I guess... I am in love with him.."
She thought about this and nodded slowly. "Right. I'll try to see if I get jealous if Kishinuma is talking to another girl. If I get pissed really quick, then it is officially confirmed."
-Monday-
The sun has shone. Morning has come. Ayumi opened her eyes gently, and smiled. She got up from her bed and opened the blinds from her window. She peeked outside, admiring the scenery. The peace and quiet, made it even better. She looked around, left and right. People were still probably asleep, not a single person was outside.
She smiled once more, and joyfully skipped to the bathroom, to take a refreshing shower. She grabbed a white towel and prepared her uniform. She laid it down on her bed, and straightened it. She looked at her bed once more, missing a certain presence of a certain someone.
Yoshiki.
She lightly giggled and shook her head gently. She definitely was falling for Yoshiki, but she has to make sure.
She stepped back and went inside her bathroom to take a bath. She locked the door knob, and removed all of her clothes, and put it inside the hamper. She stepped inside, closed the curtains, and turned on the shower.
--10 minutes later--
She stepped outside the curtains, wrapped a towel around her body, and went outside her bathroom. She grabbed a hair dryer and started drying her hair. She starts to get dressed, and walked towards her bed to get her uniform. After getting dressed, she grabbed a comb and gently combed her hair. She did her usual hairstyle, the pigtails. After that, she grabbed her things and shoved it inside her school bag, and went downstairs for breakfast.
Her shoes clicked as she took every step. It echoed throughout the kitchen and the lobby. As she took the last step, she turned her heel towards the kitchen. The table was now set and ready. She saw her sister, about to sit down and eat.
"Oh, Ayumi. Good morning! Here, let's eat." She gestures her sister to sit down. Ayumi obediently followed, and sat down. "What's for breakfast?" She asked. Hinoe pointed at her plate and said, "We'll have french toast. I wanna try something new. I hope you don't mind." Ayumi smiled and nodded. "I don't mind at all! Come on! Let's eat! I'm hungry..."
Hinoe lightly chuckled and both of them started eating. After finishing Ayumi's meal, she got up and put her plate on the kitchen sink. She went inside the bathroom to brush her teeth. After brushing, she looked at the mirror to fix herself once again.
You're so cute.
She stopped for a moment and faintly smiled. That's actually what would Kishinuma say if I panic or something... She touched her face gently and thought, Would he compliment me when I arrive at school?
She mentally slapped herself. Stupid. That won't happen. She sadly sighed and looked at her reflection again. She stepped back and went outside the bathroom.
"Hinoe-neesan! I'll be going now!" She said as she got her bag and was about to leave. "Wait, Ayumi! Your bento!" Hinoe screamed, running from the kitchen, carrying Ayumi's lunch box.
"Oh, woops." Ayumi laughed to herself and stuffed her bento inside her bag. "I'll be going now. Bye, sis!"
"Take care, Ayumi." She smiled and hugged her sister. Ayumi opened the door and waved goodbye to her older sister.
She walked along the fine roads, looking around her, admiring the serene beauty of her town. The leaves gently swayed as the wind brushed against them. Birds chirpped joyfully. The wind gently brushed Ayumi's delicate skin, and she smiled.
Kisaragi Academy was near, so she walked to save money. The skies were surrounded by clouds, but not too many. It was a bright and cool Monday.
-----
Ayumi arrived at the Kisaragi Academy on time. She walked along the hallway, looking at each and every classrooms. She had reached her classroom, and opened the door.
A few students have arrived. Mayu, Morishige, Naomi, Seiko and Satoshi were one of them. She smiled at the presence, but quickly frowned when she realized Yoshiki haven't arrived yet.
"Kishinuma's not here yet?" She asked Mayu, her best friend. Mayu shook her head and answered. "No, he's not here." Ayumi frowned even more, missing his presence. Mayu noticed this and asked. "Why the face, Ayumi-chan?" Ayumi curved her lips into a faint smile and said, "Nothing, really. He was supposed to be early. It's weird."
She only shrugged and talked to the rest, hoping that he would arrive.
She was chatting happily with friends, almost forgetting when would Yoshiki arrive. Some minutes later, she heard a familiar voice, and she immediately whipped her head at the door and listened intently. She heard a muffled voice and immediately stood up, beaming. "Kishinuma-kun!"
Mayu, Morishige, Naomi, Seiko and Satoshi flinched and turned their attention to Ayumi. "Shinozaki, are you okay?" She ignored Satoshi's question and ran for the door, but before she could even open it, she heard a giggle. It was a girl's voice.
Wait, what?
She listened again, and heard Yoshiki's voice once again, but this time...
He was laughing.
Yoshiki?
She opened the door, and saw Yoshiki waving at a girl, smiling. Ayumi's heart sank deeper than the ocean. She looked at Yoshiki's smiling face and frowned.
"Ki-kishinuma-kun?" Her voice cracked. She was about to cry. Yoshiki turned his head and his smile was even wider than before. "Morning, Shinozaki."
Her heart went back to its usual place and she smiled again. She looked at the girl and growled. "Who was that girl, Kishinuma?" She asked. Yoshiki noticed this and stuttered. "Oh... S-She's my cousin." "She's ugly." Yoshiki was shocked what Ayumi has just said. "Hey, trashtalking other people all of a sudden, that's new. What's up with you?" He was worried as to what triggered Ayumi's rage.
"Nothing. I'm just jealous." Yoshiki almost slipped and held on the door frame really tight. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. She's jealous?!
"What?!" Yoshiki screamed, still trying to know if what he heard was right. Ayumi looked at him and blinked. "What?" She innocently asked. "You were jealous because of my cousin?" Ayumi blinked and her face went as red as a tomato. "I wasn't jealous b-because of your cousin... idiot." She pouted and played with her fingers, looking down, slightly flustered.
Yoshiki's shoulders relaxed, and heaved a deep sigh. "Sorry. I guess I was assuming things." He said, with a sad expression on his face. Ayumi saw his broken face and guilt started rushing through her. Is it my fault? If so, then I have to make up for it!
"Let's just forget about that, hm?" She said with a smile and took Yoshiki's hand. "Come on. I've been waiting for you." Yoshiki immediately turned red, and he stuttered on his own words. "Y-You've been waiting for me?" Ayumi turned her attention to Yoshiki and smiled sweetly at him. "Yep." She replied. Yoshiki couldn't help but smile, too.
Ayumi smiled to and mumbled, "Its officially confirmed. I have fallen in love."
-----
Class has started, and everyone went back to their seats. Ayumi was far away from Yoshiki, and she was sad about it. Every now and then, Ayumi would take glances at the blond male.
Meanwhile, Yoshiki did the same thing. He would look away just to see Ayumi. Both of them haven't realized that they love each other. In Yoshiki's case, he knows that he doesn't have a chance with Ayumi. He's a bad guy, and she's a good girl. Completely opposite, right?
However, Ayumi have already fallen in love with the delinquent. But the question that bothered Ayumi, does he love her, too?
Yoshiki wasn't listening properly, time seemed to have stopped in his case. He kept looking at Ayumi, apparently dazed by her presence.
"Okay! Pick a partner so we can start our activity!" The Math teacher said. Yoshiki snapped and went back to reality, and started looking around, seeing that his classmates were standing, looking for a partner.
"Kishinumaaaaaaa!" A girl exclaimed. Yoshiki turned his head to where the voice was, and saw...
Ayumi walking towards him, beaming happily.
"Want to be my partner for our math activity?" She offered. Yoshiki blinked twice and said, "I mean, yeah, sure. I'll be your partner." Ayumi happily cheered and Yoshiki chuckled. "Be warned though, I didn't listen very well." Ayumi stopped her cheering and glared at Yoshiki, but soon smiled. "Its okay! I'll help you!" She grabbed Yoshiki's and dragged him towards her desk.
-----
They started making the activity together. Yoshiki's heart beat was not normal, for he was beside the girl he loves most. Same goes for Ayumi, who was blushing a deep shade of red. You can't tell if she's blushing or boiling mad.
After making the activity together, both got the highest scores, and Ayumi absentmindedly hugged Yoshiki, burying her face onto his chest. Yoshiki seemed to enjoy this, and hugged her back.
Seiko, on the other hand, knew that both of them will soon be the perfect couple, because she knows that they love each other, and promised to herself to not tell anyone. It was quite shocking to Seiko, because Ayumi likes Satoshi, but now, she likes Yoshiki even more.
-----
Class has ended, and everyone went scrambling, apparently excited to get home. Yoshiki lazily went to his locker and stuffed some things inside. As he closed and locked his locker, he noticed a silhoutte beside him. It was Ayumi.
"Oh, hey Shinozaki." He smiled at the bluenette and ruffled her hair gently. "What's up?" He asked. "I was waiting for you." She chimed happily. Yoshiki blushed a pink tint on his cheeks and sheepishly smiled. "Oh, really? That's unexpected."
"What's unexpected?" She innocently asked. He stifled a chuckle and replied, "Well, It's just really weird, you know. I mean, I never thought that you would actually wait for me."
She giggled lightly. "Psssh, just ignore it. Come on! Let's walk home together!" She offered. Yoshiki can never deny her offers, so he agreed. "Sure, no problem."
-----
Both of them were walking home together, hand in hand. Ayumi was talking so much with enthusiasm. Yoshiki listened and smiled as he listened to Ayumi talking about things she likes. He loves this about her.
The people at the street were looking at the two students, whispering that those two were so sweet.
But, no. They are not lovers, yet.
Yoshiki made a really corny joke, but Ayumi laughed anyway. He rubbed his temples shyly and asked Ayumi. "How was that even funny?" She kept laughing and looked at him, smiling widely. "You're just really adorable, that's all." Ayumi kept laughing again, and Yoshiki blushed at Ayumi's compliment.
They had reached the Shinozaki household, and Ayumi soon frowned. "I guess this is where we part... I'll see you tomorrow?" Ayumi asked. Yoshiki nodded and patted her head. "I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night, Shinozaki." Yoshiki smiled once more and was about to leave when Ayumi grabbed his wrist. "Wait!" She protested. Yoshiki turned his head and he felt soft lips on his cheeks. His face was now really red, and his mouth, agape.
"Good night." She smiled at him, bringing joy in Yoshiki's heart. He grinned, and said the same. "Good night." He turned around and left.
Ayumi waved happily and when he was far away, her expression changed from happy to sad. After 5 seconds, she muttered to herself.
"I love you."
