(So funny story.. I'm only realizing now that the chapter didn't save, so I deprived you all of this chapter for almost a whole month. I have to rewrite it, I'm so sorry about the crazy delay.)

Nova's POV

As I was in no mood to listen to Blake yell at me, I listened to the circadian rhythms that are fine tuned by Wolfie. It's is a horrible thing to do, but I got dressed and left; not before ever so gently getting him back in his truck being careful to not wake him. 

I really just wanted to be curled up in bed right now. 

I got back home as the sun was coming up and kicked my shoes off. I must have woken somebody up because there were three very disgruntled looking people in the kitchen. 

"Where have you been?" One of their voices spits.

Don't say anything. They don't need to know jack shit.

I had a piece of my mind that I owed them. But not now. 

I trudge to my room with them following me. My arm is pulled back which spikes some anger inside of me. 

Breathe in, and out. In, and out.

Why the hell she was choosing to be the good cop in this scenario, I have no clue.

"My mother asked you a question," Evelyn says snottily. 

"Which I chose not to answer. Good night," I say as calmly as I can manage as I try to go into my room. 

"Nova, where were you?" She asks again.

"Why do you care?" I say getting a little more testy. 

And then it happens, she literally slaps me. Like across the face. 

She did not just do that. That's our good side too!

"After all I've done for you.. I made you what you are. I put a roof over your head, gave you two sisters to look up to, and this is how you repay me? Repay us?" 

The girls nod in agreement. 

Let me at her. 

Just a few more weeks, just a few more weeks. Enhance the calm. I tell myself over and over. 

I get two steps into my room and start to close my door. It is slammed open and I am pushed into a corner. 

"Answer me!" She yells in my face. I wipe some saliva off my cheek. 

"I am leaving the night of graduation for good. You won't ever hear from me again, and I will be out of your hair. If you'll notice, my things are all packed." I gesture to the boxes. "I don't owe any of you anything. You two," I point to Thing 1 and Thing 2, "have made my life a living hell since I got here, and you," I look directly at Susan, "you have been nothing but cruel to me since you found out you would have to take care of me. So no, I don't think I owe you jack shit." I growl and get them all out of my room before slamming the door and locking it.

Nicely done.

The last thing I remember is laying down. 

Blake's POV

"Hey Nova, it's Blake. I'm coming over to check on you in a minute. You were gone when I left and I'm kinda worried. Call me back if you get this before I get there." I hang up as I start up my car. 

I'm glad she asked me to watch her. I'm glad she trusts me.

"Well hey there handsome! What are you doing here?" One of the twins asks as she opens the door. 

"I'm here to see Nova. I haven't heard from her since last night. I was with her." I say back.

"Ohhh. That explains a lot." She trails off. "Were you aware that she plans to leave after graduation?" 

"Yeah.. I'm going with her." I debate whether or not I should have told her that.

"What?!" Her face goes white as a sheet.

"Yeah, I'm just here to check on her, is she okay?" She was getting on my nerves. 

"She's fine, I guess. She had a fit before she fell asleep, my mom is furious." She smirks. 

I didn't even want to hear the reason behind it.. not from her anyway. I'd call her later, maybe invite her over. At least I knew she was okay. 

"Thank you," I mutter as I turn to walk back to my car.

"You should stay for a drink or something," she says sweetly.

"You would be better off inviting your boyfriend over." I wink at her as her face turns red. "Bye now." 

I text Nova when I get home, "text me when you wake up," I was curious about what had happened. I don't see Nova as the person to lash out, but I didn't know her very well yet. 

We'll have to see.
