"Mobs? You?" Jungkook nodded. He was no longer afraid, she was his, his future wife, his girl, the mother of his child and all future ones, and he had just revealed the secret of his life to her, in the presence of his friends, who were looking at her intently. "You?" she pointed at him and he nodded again. "And you? And you?" she pointed at each of them and each confirmed Jungkook's words. "And you kill people?" she looked at Jungkook again. "Only if we have no other choice, we are not like my father, he kills more for pleasure and we to survive, and we have illegal businesses, but we don't kill if it is not really imperative" he was not afraid that she would leave him, but he was afraid that she would be afraid of him, and those were two different things.

"And your father is chasing me to kill me because he wants you to marry your ex and take over the leadership of the Jeon family?" Mei-Lin felt like she was in a novel. She knew, rather suspected that Jungkook and the boys were involved in something illegal, but even the mafia, she somehow didn't believe that. Weren't mobsters heartless, cold-blooded killers who stopped at nothing, looked scary and sullen all the time, and only cared about themselves?

Didn't they hide in huge mansions, afraid to show themselves outside, lest they be killed by their enemies? But Jungkook took her out on dates, walked with her in the park, and before his father intervened in their relationship, they didn't need a bodyguard. "We do business with respect, not by force," explained Jungkook, as if he read her mind. "So, let's see if I understand, you mean to tell me that you are a mobster, but not exactly, because you prefer to act by gaining respect, not through fear, and that they work for you, and that you are murderers?" Jungkook nodded again.

Mei-Lin rubbed the base of her nose, closing her eyes and trying to make sense of what she heard. Whatever was going through her head, however, it all led to one thought, she knew these seven men and adored, no, loved one to the point of madness. She was carrying his child and was happy with him, despite the situation. Maybe she was crazy, maybe she wasn't right in the head, but her heart and instincts told her that they were forced rather than choosing this way of life.

"And what do you plan to do with your father?" she asked looking at Jungkook who just shrugged. "Nothing, but if he tries to lay a hand on you and hurt you or our child, I will kill him" Mei-Lin didn't detect a hint of uncertainty or lack of determination in his voice. Jungkook was just informing her that he would go to any lengths to protect them, and in the end, wasn't that what mattered? Yes, she was definitely crazy because it actually made her feel even more secure around them and loved by the man next to her.

"Damn it, whatever you want, I love him, I love them all!" she thought and looked at them one by one, except for Jungkook, everyone was looking at her anxiously, with fear, as if they were afraid that she wouldn't accept them or see them differently now that she knew the truth. Her seven men, her strength and protection. They were her home, her future, the father of the child in her womb and his six uncles who would burn the world to protect it, how could she be afraid of them.

"Is that all? Is there anything else I don't know?" she asked and Jungkook shook his head. "Good cause I'm hungry" six sighs of relief made her smile even wider. Jungkook reached out and Mei-Lin snuggled against his chest. "My strong, brave and beautiful lady, I knew you wouldn't leave me no matter what" he kissed her forehead. "Yeah, yeah, your son is hungry though and wants one of his uncle Jin's stuffed chickens in sweet and sour sauce" she grinned and Jungkook burst out laughing.

"All for my nephew!" Jin squealed and ran to the kitchen, dragging Yoongi behind him. "Are you okay?" Jungkook asked and Mei-Lin nodded smilingly, looking after them. Namjoon came closer and looked at her with pride. "Thanks, they really needed to be accepted, for the past months each of them in their own way worried about your reaction and how you would take it. The boys got used to you and love all three of you, they wouldn't take rejection" he said and Mei- Lin smiled sweetly at him. "Are you only talking about them, Namjoon hyung?" his eyes widened and he blushed, walking away quickly as he cleared his throat.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Jungkook pulled her into his lap on the couch and she nodded into his neck. "If you're asking if I'm afraid of you, the answer is no" she lifted her head slightly and planted a kiss on his cheek. "I already told you, it doesn't matter what you are, I love you for who you are, not what you do, the same goes for boys" she looked in the direction of the kitchen where Jin's screams and the voices of the others were coming from, while they contested his commands.

"Maybe we're not an ordinary family, even more like something out of a mafia novel, but you're my family and I love you. And I'm definitely not worried about myself or our baby, because he's going to have a wonderful father and six crazy uncles, what more can I ask for?" Jungkook shook his head in amazement. Her logic was undeniable, he adored her, adored their child, and the six in the kitchen would stop at nothing to protect her from any possible danger.

"You know I love you, right?" he turned her so she was sitting sideways on his lap and placed a hand on her stomach. "I love you both and I won't let anything happen to you" Mei-Lin wrapped her arms around his neck and he fell into her eyes. "We love you more Jungkook" her lips met his and he slid his tongue into her mouth making her shiver. "I'll bet that, my lady, because no one has ever loved anyone the way I love you" he rubbed his nose against hers.

"If that's the case, why am I still hungry" Mei-Lin giggled and Jungkook smirked. "I can't win this argument, can I?" she shook her head. "It's two against one" she winked at him and he threw back his head, bursting into laughter. "Okay, let's feed you before you think about how much you love me" he picked her up and walked towards the kitchen. "Are you sure it's okay to wear me, you're not fully recovered yet" she pursed her lips anxiously and Jungkook smiled. "Totally, I already lift far heavier weights than you my lady, I'm fine" he assured her, kissing her pouty lips.

"I bring you a hungry lady and she's impatient" Jungkook sat her down at the kitchen island and Mei-Lin was instantly surrounded by everyone offering her possible options to eat before the chicken she wanted was ready. Who would ever think that this group of men could be criminals? "Satisfied?" Jungkook handed her the jar of pickles, her favorite snack lately, and leaned on his elbow next to her, watching their friends' commotion.

"Jungkook?" he looked at her and frowned. "What's up little star?" concern was in his eyes as he turned fully to her and cupped her face, wiping away her tears. "Why are you crying love hey...don't" he settled between her knees. "What's up, is she okay?" Jungkook looked over his shoulder. Mei-Lin's tears had the power to bring the entire group together in seconds, including Bam, who Jungkook was sure was by now in his office at the other end of the apartment.

"Sorry, pregnancy hormones" Mei-Lin sobbed and tried to smile but only managed to snort. "I just want you to know that I love you all" her voice broke and before their astonished looks, she couldn't hold back and burst into tears. "Oh baby, we love you too, just don't cry, please" Jungkook tried his best to stop her crying, wiping her tears and showering her with kisses. "It's your fault Jin hyung, you took too long with the chicken!" Taehyung's voice rose three octaves and he looked accusingly at Jin, who gave him a murderous stare.

"Maybe if you knew which side of the knife you were holding and helped a little instead of stealing carrots, it would have been a lot faster!" Jin snapped and hit him on the head with a wooden spoon, causing Taehyung to cringe and squeal. Jimin stood between the two and Hoseok tried to take the spoon from Jin's hands. "Stop it, you idiots, the chicken won't cook on its own!" roared Yoongi, who stood with the cleaned chicken in his hands, shaking his head. "Because you can cook it" Jin snapped at him, prompting an angry snarl from Yoongi.

"Stop acting like children, for God's sake!" Namjoon also tried to break them up. The picture was so funny with Bam jumping around them that Mei-Lin burst out laughing, which made Jungkook sigh in relief. "Your moods will be the end of me, my lady" he shook his head and cupped her cheeks, kissing her hard. "Sorry, I'm really trying to control them" she sniffled again and he rested his forehead against hers with a sigh. "You have no idea what you're doing to me, little star" she giggled, passing into a more upbeat mood again and Jungkook suddenly wished he could live without her to jump off the terrace, dreading her next mood.
