Gray's POV:

"Let's keep going," Natsu said bravely and kept walking. I hurried next to him and walked side by side with him. Natsu took a sideways glance at me and smiled shyly. He reached towards me and wrapped his hand around mine, interlocking our fingers. I could feel his hand quivering a bit, so I squeezed it tightly.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you, Natsu," I said reassuringly.

Natsu's POV:

When Gray held my hand back, I felt a pounding in my chest that I hadn't felt in a really long time. It was like my heart Skipped a beat. I hadn't felt such a sensation since my father Igneel disappeared over seven years ago; I felt happy. I gripped the ice mage's cold hand back as we walked.

"Thanks, Gray," I said sheepishly. He didn't respond, but instead held me closer. We kept walking until the tops of houses were in sight. Houses and other buildings, all frozen solid.

I guess this is it.. I thought, We made it.
