Natsu's POV:

"Theories need to be tested," I exclaimed, maybe a bit too happy, "So, hold my hand again."

I smiled at Gray as I held my hand out to him. He groaned dramatically. "Do I have to?"

"Yes."

"Fine," he agreed and wrapped his large hand around my small one. We waited for a few minutes, and... nothing happened. What the fuck!?

"It didn't work," once Gray was finished pointing out the obvious, he once again retracted his hand, "This won't work."

"But why not?! It literally just worked a minute ago!" I yelled.

"I don't know, I just feel like it won't work..."

Gray's POV:

I think I figured this thing out... But there's no way I'm doing that. Never. Especially not with Natsu! I don't care about the stupid village anymore -- I wanna go home. But now Natsu is all into solving this. *Sigh*.

"Let's try it again over here!" Natsu said running over to another spot, "C'mon, hurry up!" I sauntered over towards the fire mage who was impatiently waiting for me. He thrusted his hand towards me.

"Natsu, I really don't think it'll work..."

"Just try," he goaded. Reluctantly, I placed my hand in his, and of course, nothing happened. "Why isn't it working?" Natsu whined.

"Because..."
