We shall

"Gladion, you got the music?"

"Yup. You ready to show me what you got?"

"Yep!"

"Alright. Three, two, one, dance!"

The song began to play, and Megan and Lillie stood as still as statues while waiting for their cue. As soon as it came, they rolled their shoulders before opening their arms out and letting their left foot step to the side, while bending their right. They stood up straight and stepped to the side, their right arm brushing over their heads and resting on their hip before shooting their left hand out in front of them.

Gladion watched closely, hand to his chin as he assessed their teamwork and movement, eyes peeled for any sign of delay or them falling out of sync. Though, he'd never admit it, but he was trying very hard not to have his breath taken away. They were good, really good. Their movement was flawless, their teamwork was amazing, and the dance they were performing was beautiful to look at.

He was also trying hard not to let his eyes focus directly on a particular blonde-brunette. But, she was making it real hard for him.

The girls twirled, brushing a hand down the side of their face as they faced the mirror again. Their hands travelled across their chest and down to their hips, before they kicked their foot out in front of them. They bent their elbows so their clenched fists came up to their chest, tilting them so one faced up and the over faced down as they stepped to the side. They opened their arms out and brought them back in, shrugging their shoulders slightly before making a clawing motion along with a forward step. They brought their shoulders forward, running a hand through their hair before dropping it towards the floor as they bent down at the waist. As they came up their hands moved to their chest, their shoulders moving back again as their chest moved out and they stepped back. They bent their knees and bowed their heads, a fist coming to their chest as they moved back up in a robotic motion.

As they continued, Gladion noticed that Megan's face began to become more uneasy. As far as he could see she was doing nothing wrong, however, the way her eyes darted between hers and Lillie's reflection made him believe that she was starting to panic. He didn't want her to panic.

With a sigh he pressed pause, causing the girls to stop dancing instantly and whip their heads round. Despite the annoyed look she was giving him, Gladion knew Megan was a tad relieved.

"Take a small break," He told them "And after I'll give you guys some feedback to think on."

The two girls exchanged glances, before shrugging and going off to their bags. They were on opposite sides of the room this time, which probably meant they wanted to be seperate for prepping and other shiz. It wasn't clear why, but that gave Gladion a chance to talk to Megan semi-privately.

He came up behind her as she squirted some water into her mouth, and waited patiently as she wiped her lips and stretched slightly. When she finally noticed him standing there she raised an eyebrow.

"Can I... help you?"

"Actually I was hoping I could help you," He responded, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants "You started to look a little stressed from the halfway through the dance onwards. Is everything okay?"

"Oh..." She pursed her lips together and averted her gaze, and began awkwardly shifting her weight on her feet "It's... not that I was stressed, necessarily."

"Then what is it?"

"I'm just... having a hard time getting into the flow is all..." She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

Ah, so that's it.

"Do you know why that might be?" Gladion asked with a thoughtful pout.

"Eh? Uhm... Well, I guess it may have something to do with me not being warmed up to working with another dancer yet. We kinda just jumped right into rehearsing as soon as we entered the room."

"So what you're saying is that you aren't camera ready yet?"

"Weird way of putting it, but I suppose..."

"Then let's fix that," Gladion suggested with a small smirk "How about dancing with me for a bit?"

Megan's head shot up "With you?"

"Yeah. That way Lillie can have her break, while you can get into the flow." He gave a small shrug. Megan eyed him for a moment, lip between his teeth while she considered his offer.

"But we don't know any of the same routines..." She pointed out, slightly disappointed.

"That's where you're wrong. Did you ever learn a routine from my mother?"

"Um, yeah, Rather Be?"

"Correct. She taught the same dance to Lillie and I. Plus it's pretty simple so it should get you into the groove not prob."

"Huh..." Megan gave a small nod "Alright I'm up for it."

"Great!" Gladion broke out into a grin. He was glad he was able to help. He ran over to the speaker and plugged in his phone, before whistling at Lillie like a dog "Hey sis, can you play some music for Megs and me? We're gonna try something."

A irk mark appeared on the girls forehead "Brother, I am not a dog!"

"I'll buy you a strawberry milkshake~"

"...Fine."

Megan giggled as she made her way to Gladion's side "She's definitely not a dog; She's a Lillie."

"True true." Gladion smirked.

Lillie puffed out her cheeks in irritation "I think I liked you guys better when you were hating on one another."

"Too late." Gladion chimed, wrapping an arm around Megan's shoulders "You should've thought about that before trying to make us all buddy buddy. Right, Megs?"

"Please stop touching me."

He dropped his arm instantly, still facing his sister.

The two made their way to the middle of the studio, and stood five feet apart with their arms straight by their sides, chins parallel to the floor, and feet only a tad apart. Gladion nodded to Lillie, who nodded back and pressed play on Gladion's phone.

Instantly the teens began moving along to the music, starting by leaning to the side and extending their right arm. They crouched, making a rubbing motion on their arms as if to produce warmth. It was slow and simple- nothing that complex so their skills weren't shown. As soon as the music picked up though; that's when things got interesting.

The two gave the mirror a quick nod, before moving backwards while swinging their arms with bent elbows. They bent over by the hips, moving their left leg out in front of them an sliding it around and behind their right. They crossed their arms and flicked their left foot, before bringing their hands up and behind their heads, and then back forward, and then bending by the hips again with their arms outstretched.

Megan couldn't believe it; this was working. She was getting into the flow of pair dancing. And to add onto that, she was enjoying it! However, once she allowed herself to look into the mirror, she noticed how she and Gladion moved together. It was perfectly in sync, harmonized, beautiful. They looked great, dancing side by side. And honestly, Megan was glad about that.

Gladion watched as a smile graced Megan's lips. He watched as she executed every move perfectly along with himself. He watched as all doubt faded from her features, and she allowed the music to take over. The two turned on their heels and leapt into the air in perfect harmony, starting the chorus section with wide grin on their faces. It was an amazing feeling.

Dancing with each other was an amazing feeling.

They picked up the pace yet again, twisting, turning, stepping, extending, and jumping in unison along with Clean Bandit's sweet track. The adrenaline was amazing, and soon they found themselves lost in the routine. They Performed a kick, bringing their arm over and into their chest before stepping backwards. It felt right.

Megan felt alive.

Gladion felt alive.

And as soon as the routine ended, and the two performed their finishing pose, they were speechless.

Megan panted, her heart beating rapidly against her chest, her cheeks tinted pink from adrenaline as she remained still. Gladion was exactly the same. In fact, their expressions were almost identical, too. Eyes wide and lips slightly parted as they slowly came back to reality.

Slowly they turned their heads, making eye contact as they continued to even out their breathing. There was a spark- a flame lit within them as soon as they performed that first move.

"Wow..." Megan whispered.

"Wow..." Gladion repeated, his lip quirking up slightly.

They just stared, not saying a word, not caring if their hair was a mess, not caring if they were hot and sweaty. They didn't dare break eye contact.

Until a certain blonde shipper let out a squeal.

Their eyes widened, their faces heating up instantly as they snapped out of their trance. They instantly turned to Lillie, who had her hands over her mouth as she stared at them. From the way her eyes squinted, she was probably smirking.

"Darn it," She whined, bringing her hands down "Just a few more seconds of silence- why'd I have to make that noise?!"

Gladion attempted to play it cool, as he coughed into his fist while placing his other hand on his hip "Well, how was that Megan?"

Megan took the hint, and too played it off as if nothing happened. Despite still being slightly flustered she bawled up her fists in determination "I'm fired up!"

"You think you can dance more confidently now?"

Thanks to you "Definitely."

"Well then," Gladion made his way towards the mirror and nudged his sister towards the middle "You're up, Lils."

---

"That was so much better than the other rehearsals!" Lillie cheered as she and Megan made their way down the stairs. Megan chuckled.

"It did have more harmony than before, didn't it?"

"Yeah! And I bet it had something to do with that perfect duet you did with my brother!"

Megan's face instantly heated up. She had tried not to think about that too much, just like how she tried not to think about what it would be like to actually form a duet with Gladion...

Too late. She was thinking about it.

She pictured it. The two of them, standing on a stage before an audience of chanting citizens. They would start off simple; a few steps and arm extensions, the two of them on opposite sides of the stage. They would gradually close in, executing moves in perfect sync as their eyes never leave one another. And then, ready for the chorus, they would meet in the middle. His hand would take hers, and he would spin her around. She would stand in front of him, shaking her hips along to the music as his hands would hold her waist--

Hold up, this ain't some kind of Dirty Dancing scenario or whatnot!

"Uhhh, Megan?" Lillie called out, snapping her fingers in front of the other female's face.

"I wasn't thinking about Dirty Dancing..."

"What?"

"What?"

Lillie blinked, confused at her friend more than ever. Megan just stared back blankly, hoping Lillie would change the subject or whatever.

Luckily she didn't have to.

"Guys!"

The two friends' eyes widened as they turned their heads, only to notice none other than French Fry jogging up towards them. He stopped a few feet away, panting slightly as he adjusted the strap of his backpack over his shoulder.

"Oh, hey brother. Did you need something?" Lillie asked in an almost teasing manner, and although she couldn't see, Megan was being gestured to with the girl's emerald eyes. Gladion rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Actually I wanted to talk to Megan about something." He confessed shyly, averting his gaze.

Cute.

"Y-You do?" Megan perked up, though mentally swore to herself for stuttering.

Gladion nodded, but glanced at his sister before saying anything further about it "Yeah... And I kinda wanted to do it, alone." He made a motion with his head to the remaining flights of stairs. Hopefully Lillie would get the hint.

And she did. Though she could've acted... A little maturer about it.

"Ohhh," She grinned, inching towards the staircase "Well in that case, I'll leave you guys to have your 'talk' then."

"Lillie--"

"Bye!" And with that she dashed off, leaving the older teens alone once again.

"Okay, answer honesty," Megan turned to Gladion "How many deja vus did you get from that?"

"A lot."

"Ditto, mate."

Gladion chuckled, but lost his smile for a moment and regained his shy persona "So... The thing I wanted to talk to you about... Do you wanna go out and talk about it?"

Megan raised an eyebrow "Go out?"

"Yeah. Go out, just the two of us- I mean, not like that. I mean, go for for coffee or something. There's this great place I go to, and it makes the best cappuccinos. You don't have to, of course, if it makes you feel uncomf--"

"Gladion." Megan interrupted, not even trying to hide her smile "Just stop rambling, for like, five seconds."

He silenced himself.

"Coffee sounds great. I'd love to go."

"Really?" Now he was smiling.

"Really." Megan confirmed, before gesturing to the stairs "Shall we?"

Gladion nodded before linking arms with her. The action made her giggle slightly.

"We shall."
