Lillie, Hau, Sun and Megan stared at the club, mouths hanging open as everyone around them continued to rave. Rose laughed at their expressions and stepped in front of them, holding her arms out wide like an over-expressive host.

"Yup, this is it! The Skull's Layer!" She declared loudly over the blasting punk rock music "Please take your time to 'ooh' at its awesomeness!"

"Oooooooh~" Her friends responded excitedly. Lillie in particular, who was practically bouncing off her heels. Rose grinned and turned ninety degrees, pointing towards the stage where a white haired DJ encouraged the place to 'go crazy'.

"And there he is- the king, and my devilishly handsome boyfriend; Ya boy Guzma!"

"What?!" Gladion's head popped up from behind Megan, who's hand he was still clutching tightly, to stare at the DJ with wide eyes "Guzma's your boyfriend?!"

Rose nodded, grinning like a lovestruck schoolgirl.

Megan glanced over her shoulder, giving him a sort of sheepish smirk.

"It was a bit of a shock for us, too..." she told him in a tone only he could hear "But to be honest, they're actually good to each other, so we've come to terms with it."

Gladion nodded slowly. He still wasn't completely convinced, since Guzma was the class delinquent. However, if the others trusted Rose being with him, and if Megan said it was fine, he would leave it be.

He'd just have to watch what he says around the peanut from now on... or else he would probably get a walloping.

Just then the music paused and switched in an instant, and the speakers suddenly started playing Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne.

"Oh no..." Sun groaned from next to Gladion, who was about to question why. But then he saw them.

The devilish grins on Lillie and Megan's faces as they turned to each other.

His sister yanked her friend out of his grasp, despite his whine of protest, and the two of them charged towards the dancefloor. He tensed, realised his 'protection' was now amongst many strangers.

Shit...

But then he felt a hand on his shoulder, making him realise he wasn't completely alone just yet. He glanced over at Sun, who was staring off at the dancefloor with a pursed lip smirk.

"This is their song," the boy started with a small chuckle "Every time it comes on, no matter where we are, they dance to it."

And he was right. Seconds later the girls were in the middle of the dance floor, reciting the routine from Just Dance 2, with people watching and cheering them on in a circle around them. Even Guzma seemed to notice them, giving them a shout out and turning up the music.

Hau and Rose cheered from next to Gladion and Sun, chanting 'Go Megan! Go Lillie!' repeatedly with their hands cupped around their mouths. Even Sun seemed to enjoy watching them, by the way he laughed at their goofiness.

And to be honest... Gladion was enjoying it too.

Watching his sister having fun and doing what she loved. Watching Megan being herself in front of a lot of people. Just watching them forget about the stress of life.

It made him smile.

And, when the song ended, and the crowd roared with applause, the girls joined hands and bowed. They even blew a kiss before squeezing their way through the dancefloor and towards their friends.

Hau, Rose and Sun ran towards them, high fiving and complimenting them with wide grins. The girls smiled bashfully, rubbing the back of their necks as they laughed along.

With a small chuckle Gladion joined them, placing his hands on their heads and ruffling their hair up. They giggled, which improved his mood even further.

'Perhaps this wasn't such a bad idea after all...' he thought to himself.

"Hey."

Oh shit.

He knew that voice. And by the way Megan's face tightened, she did too. They turned, glaring at the owner with their arms crossed. He only smirked back.

"I gotta say, that was pretty impressive." He said, nodding towards Megan and Lillie "For a bunch of Level 2 lowlifes."

"Piss off, Leven!" Megan snapped, trying to pull out of Gladion's grasp as he held her back. He knew the first words the bluette said would piss the girl off, and was ready to grab her in case she attempted to lunge at him. Which she did.

Leven smirked, and the two males beside him snickered. Gladion recognised the blonde one as Isaac, while the other- who had green dyed hair tied in a manbun -was someone he knew was from the musical theatre course, but didn't know the name of.

Sun stood in front of Gladion. One, to shield Megan from their view. And two, to glare at the trio head on. This gave Gladion an opportunity to pull Megan back.

Sun let out a scoff "Leven. Isaac. Shannon-"

Shannon! That was his name!

"-What do you want?"

Leven grinned at the ravenette, crossing an arm over his chest while using the other to tweak his glasses.

"If it isn't Sun!" He said with a little too much enthusiasm "It's been awhile since we've talked, have you missed me?"

Said boy audibly growled "Not particularly."

"Ouch..." Leven feigned a wince "And here I thought we had something."

"Yeah, we did. But you threw that away a while ago."

Gladion was confused, and therefore questioned Hau about what was going on. The tanned boy sighed, fiddling with the collar of his shirt as he stared at his black haired friend's back sadly.

"Leven and Sun used to date," he began "And it was going well too... until the blue haired bastard cheated on Sun with some mystery man. Everyone thinks it's Isaac, though. Since then, those two are hardly ever seen within five meters from each other."

"Oh..." Gladion frowned sadly. He felt like he could empathize with Sun in this scenario, as he knew how it felt to be in a relationship, and then have your significant other stab you in the back like that. It hurts.

It was no wonder why Sun was so tense at the moment.

"Well phooey." Leven pouted "And here I was to pay my respects..."

"You make this sound like a funeral."

"My condolences." The male smirked, earning another growl from his ex.

"Okay you know what!" Lillie poked Sun out of the way and pointed at the three smirking boys in front of her "If you're only here to make fun of us then leave. We came here to have fun and if you keep acting like a bunch of douchebags, we won't hesitate to call over security. Kapeesh?"

Megan stopped struggling momentarily to whistle at her usually timid friends outburst, only to continue to pull against Gladion's arms. He rolled rolled his eyes at that.

Leven let out a laugh, eying the group for a moment before whispering something to his 'accomplices'. The three then snickered and turned to them again, crossing their arms in unison.

"Actually, I think we have a better idea..." Isaac declared, speaking for the first time during this... standoff.

"Oh yeah?" Rose snarled, glaring up at the blonde "And what's that?"

Shannon was next to speak as he pointed to the group "We declare a dance off!"

The music stopped instantly, and suddenly all eyes were on them. However none were fazed as they continued to glare.

"Oh ho ho..." Megan grinned darkly, unhooking Gladion's arms from her waist as she joined Sun and Lillie in front of their challengers "You are so on."

The crowd 'ooh'd.

"Looks like we all got a dance off in here!" Guzma laughed as Leven, Isaac, Shannon, Sun, Lillie and Megan made their way to the middle of the floor. They looked fierce.

"I'm not sure about this..." Gladion muttered, debating on whether to stop them or not. However, Hau and Rose placed a hand on his arm either side.

"Don't worry, Gladion," Rose smirked at him, eyes filled with mischief.

"They will destroy those fuckers."

"Ladies first~" Megan said mockingly, gesturing to the 'stage' and smirking at her opponents. Leven didn't seem fazed, since he and his minions stepped forward.

"Very well." He replied, nodding to the DJ.

"Alright!" Guzma yelled, flicking a few switches "Let's get ready to raaaaage!"

"YEAH!" The crowd cheered.

Knock the Dominoes blasted through the speakers, and team one began moving with smirks on their faces. They started the 'make it rain' movement before sidestepping, swiping one arm over their heads, bringing the hand to their cheek and looking to the side. They sidestepped again and opened their arms out, bringing them to their sides before shooting one out in front of them and making a 'come at me' motion with their hands.

Megan scoffed at that. She knew they were trying to taunt them.

They continued to take the floor, responding to the crowds encouragement with a few winks and points in different directions. Shannon blew a kiss towards Rose at one point, who only flipped him off in return.

It was no mystery to Gladion why his friends hated these people. They were stuck up, cheating, attention seeking assholes.

And now

He wanted nothing more than for his friends to destroy them.

Leven's team finished off with a quick hair flip, which pissed off their opponents even more, before stepping off into the crowd.

"Now let's see what you can do!" Isaac mocked.

Sun scoffed and stepped into the space, followed by Megan and Lillie who stood either side of him. They took a deep breath to prepare themselves...

And then went all out.

They bent at the hips and jerked their bodies to the side before standing up straight, bending their knees and shuffling their feet for a moment before swinging their leg up and tapping their ankle with their hand.

Once

Twice

Thrice

Four times.

They slid one leg down, bending the other knee before leaping and standing upright.

The crowd went wild, cheering them on even louder than they did for Leven's team. Hau and Rose were mimicking their movements from the sidelines, encouraging them to continue in the process, while Gladion just stood there with his mouth agape.

God damn were they killing it.

And, when they finished, they leaned to the side with their arms crossed, looking like the winners they were.

Clapping, cheering, whistling. That's what the club was filled with at that moment.

"Did... We just lose to a buch of level 2 scum?" Leven scowled at his loss, grabbing his minions arms and pulling them away. They were soon blended with the crowd.

But that didn't matter.

Rose, Hau and Gladion pushed through the mob, trying to get to their friends who were stuck in the middle. Until three pairs of hands grabbed them and pulled them in. They came face to face with their little champions.

Lillie and Rose squealed and squeezed each other into an embrace, while Hau and Sun wrapped an arm around each others necks. However, Gladion just stared at Megan. He only smiled at her. But, to her, that was all she needed.

It was all she needed, to know she did good.
