36: Astronomy
Months had passed since Jaehyun moved back to America. For the first few months, Jaehyun had kept his promise. He texted her a 'good morning' and a 'goodnight' every day, sent her loads of gifts, mostly chocolates, because he knew how much she loved them.
But for the past few days, Jaehyun didn't text her. He left her messages on seen. At first, Hayoon thought that he was just busy, and that he would text her back whenever he was free. But this happened for two weeks straight, and she feared that if this went on for some days more, they'll lose contact.
However much she tried to push the thought away, she would think about it more. And her mood started to change.
She became depressed day by day. Johnny, Yuki and Taeyong happened to notice the change in her mood.
Since Johnny was her elder brother, they decided that he should go and talk to her about what's wrong.
And here he was, sitting on the couch beside Hayoon in silence, as he asked her what was wrong.
'Is this about Jaehyun?' He asked, rubbing her back.
She closed her eyes shut and slowly nodded.
'He doesn't have any time for you? He isn't texting you like he used to?' He asked, and she nodded again.
'Yeah...he might be busy...but he just leaves me on read.' She explained. 'I have a feeling...that he doesn't like me anymore.'
'Uff...' He massaged his temples. 'You're overthinking.'
She looked at Johnny and frowned. 'What do you mean?'
'He might actually be busy, and he isn't getting time to reply you.' Johnny explained. 'See...the thing might be that when he's about to text you, something important comes up and then he forgets to text you.'
She sighed and nodded slowly.
'Look, I don't really know anything about relationships...but all I can advise you to do is talk it out with him.' He said.
She nodded slowly, and he pressed his lips into a thin line. He rubbed her back, smiling softly, he got up and walked away.
'I don't like seeing you like this, Hayoon.' He muttered to himself, exiting her dorm.
