Katherine's POV

The heavy silence settled over us, thicker then the uneasy tension in the atmosphere. I shifted in my seat nervously ; thanks god the company is not that far from the hotel , i can't wait to arrive , this awkward tension is killing me.

None of us said anything after the kiss , and if it wasn't for the room service knocking on the door interrupting us , no one would've known what was going to happen , and for that i am so grateful.

Thinking about the kiss , i can't help the blush that crept its way to my cheek, it wasn't our first kiss , but i barely remember anything about that one , i was drunk and wasted , and all i can say is that this jerk knows exactly how to kiss.

Damn him..

I tried to resist but i couldn't , it is like his touch has some kind of a spell on my body , making it hard not to respond to him , the way he grabbed me in his arms , it felt like it is just all what i needed for a moment.

Why i am becoming weak again , why i am doing this to me , and to him ?

I spent years building these walls around me, trying to push people away , but I don't know how he managed , just by a touch of his finger to crumble these walls into ashes !

I have to stop whatever i am doing , or whatever i am feeling , i have to tell him soon that i am going to quit the job , i have to get away from him as far as i can before more things happen. Even if he didn't kill Chase , that doesn't give me the right to feel anything toward him, or to even touch him or let him touch me , i shouldn't even enjoy it.

The car stopped jerking me from my thoughts , i went out and till now we hadn't spoken a word , he didn't even glance at my side since we get into the car.

Together we entered, and headed toward the office , once i reached my desk , a white box caught my attention , my eyes widened a bit when i recognized the small Apple logo on the top of it , i directly turned toward Ashton, "You will need it for work since you lost yours." He said with a blank tone.

"But.." I was about to protest and tell him i can buy my own stuffs , but without giving me a chance he walked away toward his office leaving me talking to myself.

So are we back to Mr. jerk again , or what ?

What happened to him suddenly , he was just kissing me hours ago !

Bipolar stupid ugly hot Jerk..

I shook my head , and went to my desk , i opened the box and took the phone ,opening it i saw few contacts , probably he added them , scrolling down , one of the name caught my attention made my eyes widen as much as they can , it was written under the name "Master".

What the actual hell ?

He saved his phone number under this name !

I don't know how long i was just staring at the phone's screen dumbfounded , my eyes wide and my mouth hanging open , trying to register that Ashton did this , it wasn't the word that shocked me , it was that he did something like this , wasn't he giving me the grumpy attitude moments ago.

This man is weird , he is totally unpredictable !

I directly edited the contact name and changed it to "Mr.Jerk.", with a satisfied smile , i opened my laptop and started working.

I was so engrossed in my work trying to finish what i have for today early so i can go and see Caleb , I have to tell him everything.

" Come to my office." Ashton's voice made me jump in my seat jerking me from my thoughts.

I ran my hand in my hair , trying to fix it a little then went inside his office , he was typing on his laptop, "Take this file, keep it with you , i will need it when we go back to LA." He pointed to the file laying on his desk , then went back typing not even glancing at my side.

"Anything else ?" I said grabbing the file , "No , just don't lose it , it is important, it contains all the financial documents concerning all the hotels." He added looking at me for the first time since i entered.

I nodded my head and went again to my desk , placing the file in my bag , i went back to my work.

"Bring me coffee." His voice made me jump in my seat for the second time today, i was about to respond , but he continued , "Don't put sugar like last time." and i was about to respond but again he interrupted me , "I don't want it to be cold like the time before."

Okay okay okay , it is just a cup of coffee , stop talking. I was going to tell him but then decided to keep it to myself, "Anything else?" I asked with an annoyed tone.

"No." He replied , "Don't keep me waiting."

I cursed under my breath , "Okay." I mumbled angrily and went to bring him a cup of his stupid sugarless hot coffee.

I went back holding the hot cup carefully , i placed it on my desk for a while giving my burning finger tips a break , i hope he will burn his tongue , or spill it over himself and burn his stupid arrogant balls.

Suddenly i felt a presence beside me , i turned around to see Alex looking at me with a raised eyebrow, "I was worried as shit yesterday , don't ever do that again." He said faking a death glare , it is hard to take him seriously sometimes.

"Well hey to you too." I said mockingly, he kept looking sending me death glares.

"Alex , i am not a kid." I said annoyed , "At least you should've told us you were leaving , Cara went crazy when she didn't find you, she couldn't sleep the whole night." He said and at the mention of Cara's name it hit me , i should tell her what happened , i have to tell her everything.

Wait she couldn't sleep all night !

How in hell he knows that ?

Oh no ! I am going to kill him.

Without a second though i pinched his arm , "Ouch !" he said rubbing his , his eyes widened at my sudden action.

"What was that for ?" He asked still rubbing his hand , his big brown eyes looking at me.

"You stayed in her place , didn't you ?" I asked giving him my murderous look , his eyes widened more , "U-umm I-it is not what you are thinking." He stuttered , "You stupid , didn't you listen to any word i said before." i said hitting his arm.

"Stop hitting me." He whined like a small kid, "She was a little bit drunk and scared at you , and you weren't there , so i just stayed." He said holding my hand preventing me from attacking him.

"I did nothing , i swear." He added defending himself.

"But you know sweetheart, you become sexier when you get angry." He said a smirk forming on his face.

He can't , he just can't let one day pass without saying something stupid, i was about to throw a stupid comment when someone cleared his throat beside us, Alex turned his face to the right ,"Oh shitt." He mumbled , i turned my head too, Ashton was standing there.

Oh shitt i forget his coffee , he is so going to kill me..

His eyes are not looking at me or even at Alex , they are fixated at Alex's grip on my hands , the look in them is rigid, cold and hard , that it instantly made me release my hand from Alex's hold.

"Don't you have work to do." He said with a cold tone looking at Alex.

"Yeah , i just came to check on Katherine." Alex said and i wasn't liking the sudden tension that is forming between us.

"So you can go back now." He said his lips forming a thin line, "My office , now." He added looking at me , and without any other word he started walking toward his office.

I looked at Alex , giving him save-me-look , he shrugged and gave me a small smile , "See you later , sweetheart." with that he left me alone , i grabbed the cup of coffee and noticed it is not as much hot as before.

I am so dead..

I entered the office , he was standing beside the window , his hands in his front pocket , "U-um i brought your coffee." I said placing the cup on his desk.

He didn't say anything , His back was still facing me , should i leave or stay ?

What the hell is wrong with him , why he is ignoring me like this today ?

I was about to leave , but his words stopped me dead in my track , "Is there something between you and Alex ?"

What the f*ck is this supposed to mean ? "What ?" I asked annoyed by his stupid question.

"You heard me." He said turning around , he started walking toward me , his face back to the old cold one , his eyes holding no emotions but you can see that behind them , there is something more intense than normal thought and his clenched stubble jaw wasn't a good sign.

I just kept looking at him with my furrowed eyebrows ,not knowing what to say , i mean is that even a question for me to answer , is he insane , or what !

"ANSWER ME !" He snapped slamming his hand on the desk making me flinch from his tone.

"Why you are shouting ? Is that even a question to answer , there is nothing between me and Alex." I said my voice raising with every word.

"Oh really ! Then why you are going out with him , why he is calling you making sure you are okay ,he is worried about you , why he is even f*cking touching you ?" Anger and fury were smoldering in his dark blue eyes while he spoke those words.

"It is not like that . And you know what , i am not going to justify my actions , not to you , not to anyone , it is not even your business." I snapped back , my blood started to boil.

"You are right , it is not my business." He said his voice low but yet his tone lacing with anger, "Okay you know what, go with him , let him touch you..and even let him f*ck you, maybe that's what you want."

He didn't say that , did he !

Anger boiled deep in my system, as hot as lava. It churned within, wanting to get out , my eyes became rigid with fury , i clenched my fist and with no second though , i took the cup of coffee and splash it on his face , with that i stormed out of the office not wanting to hear any more bullshits from his mouth, i hope he will enjoy his coffee now..

I don't know what made me angry the most , what he said , or the fact that he thinks of me like that..

Small Chapter i know , it is just i felt hadn't updated in a while , so i took a break from my studies (As if i am studying😂) to write.

Anyway i hope you liked it , nothing major happened but yeah 😊

Ashton can be a d*ck sometimes ha ?😂
