Katherine's POV

"So he spilled his coffee on you ?" Caleb asked still processing what i've told him.

"Yeah !" I said while flipping the papers of the file i am holding.

"And then he gave you the job !" He exclaimed still not believing me.

"Yeah" I repeated with an irritated tone.

"Would you give me some respect and look at me while i am talking." Caleb said angrily, "Dammit !"

"I have to read these papers wiseass , i have to know more about the company , because i'll start from tomorrow." I said glaring at him for shouting.

"What if he discovered about this whole revenge thing ? Haven't you thought about this ?" He asked inching closer.

This guy is not going to drop this fùcking topic..

"If you let me finish reading these papers , then i'll be able to do this job correctly , and he will not discover." I said with a sigh.

He just punched the table so hard and stormed out of the room .

This guy will be the end of me one day . Cant he just trust me , i know what i am doing .

Ugh i cant leave him mad at me like that.

I went after him , he was standing in front of the big window in the living room looking out at the crowded streets of LA.

I went and stood beside him."Caleb." I said but he kept looking away lost in his thoughts.

"Caleb , come on !" I said putting my hand on his shoulder.

"It is just i am afraid okay ? I am afraid that you will end up hurt , it took you two years in order to be able to live a little bit normally and now this.." He said running his hand in his light brown hair, "This is just going to open old wounds."

"Also, what if ashton discovered about all this ? What if i wasn't able to save you this time ? I would never forgive myself then.." He said , his green eyes looking directly into mine holding emotions i didn't see since that day at Chase's funeral when i was going to hurt myself , his voice was so soft , he was so worried at me but I always shout at him and shut him down.

Ugh stupid me , i always say stupid things and push away the people that care about me , i don't know why ?

Maybe because i am afraid if they were so close i'll lose them too , and believe me i wont be able to handle it this time.

"..A-and what if i lost you like i
Lost him ?" He mumbled the last part and looked away and i can feel the hurt in his voice.

"You wont , i promise you , you wont lose me , we have to cooperate and do this together , and he will not notice , we will destroy him like you wanted." I said trying to convince him , "You are right , this will open old wounds , but every time i'll look at him i will just see what i've lost and this will give me more power and motivate me to continue this plan to let him pay."

"Trust me , please." I added but deep inside i was trying to trust myself as well.

"I trust you Katherine, and yeah we will do this together , but if anything happened to you i'll kill him without thinking twice about it." He said sternly.

"I'll help you with that too." I said , a smile crawled to my lips.

He smiled back and i was so glad that he wasn't mad at me anymore.

"So tell me again what is your plan exactly and how you are going to do it ?" He asked.

"Okay if we want to destroy him , we should start with his company , because apparently business ,money , and power are the only things that matters for him , so we should let him lose them ." I started , "And me being his personal assistance i'll have access to all the deals and agreements and i'll know his friends and his enemies in the business field , so we supply the enemies with what they want and we make his friend turn there back to him." I looked away imagining his face when he is going to lose everything.

"It will take time i know , but it will work . In addition, i'll be able to know more about his personal life which will make him weaker and we will use his weakness point against him." I told him briefly about what my plan included.

Caleb didn't say anything , he looked so lost thinking , his jaw clenched . I cleared my throat to gain his attention.

"O-Ohh o-okay, this will take some time right but it is good ,at the end he will lose his company , his money , his power, his friends and he'll gain more enemies . " He said looking amused .

"Just remind me not to make you angry in my whole life because you have one hell of a wild imagination girl !" He said trying to lighten the tension that formed.

That earned a chuckle from me and then i continued ,"Well yeah he will lose all of these , but also there is one more important thing."

"What do you mean ?" He exclaimed furrowing his eyebrows.

"I'll break his heart too." I said shrugging my shoulders in the process.

"Still i don't understand, how you gonna do that ?" Caleb said confused .

"Well you know i'll make him trust me ,like me , and maybe even maybe more than that." I said , "And then i'll break his heart , just like he broke mine." I said my tone full with hatred and anger.

Caleb shook his head his jaw still clenched, his eyes was telling me how he disliked my intention and i felt he will start saying you-will-hurt-yourself speech but i glared at him daring him to refuse my idea.

"Just be careful please." He said with a sigh.

"Katherine ,come to my office now and bring the North Hotel Group file with you. " Ashton's voice snapped me to reality .

Did i zone out again ?

Dammit ! I have to stop that.

For the last weak that i was working here , i am always lost in my thoughts, but i have to be more careful.

"Coming." I said before grabbing the file and heading toward his office.

I knocked on the door , then entered after hearing him say "Come in".

He was sitting behind his desk , his tie loosened , his hear messy , confusion filling his eyes while he is typing fiercely on the Laptop's keyboard.

When i reached him ,he looked up , he took the file flipping through it.

"What do i have after the meeting ?" He asked while going through the file.

"You have the meeting at two pm with North hotel group and then , Jackson Clark have an appointment with you about the branch in New York and at six pm you have to go to the hotel in Beverly hills they need you there." I said while
Looking at the notepad telling him the tasks for today.

"It is one hell of a day." He murmured running his hand in his dark brown hair.

"Okay you can go and finish your work before the meeting , i want you to make twenty copies of these papers and spread them in front of every chair and be there ten minutes earlier in case anyone arrived before me." He ordered and i nodded ,took the papers from him and headed back to my office.

Dammit ! This man is a workaholic , this company mean a lot for him , it is so obvious from how hardly he works.

Badly , it will be destroyed soon.

I smiled at my evil thoughts and then went back to work.

The meeting was a disaster , the other company was fighting all the time demanding to change some rules about the deal but Ashton refused saying it would affect his company, they kept arguing until Ashton get really angry .

"There is no deal between us anymore." He said and his tone made me flinch, then he ripped the paper into pieces and throw them , then stormed out of the conference room.

The other group were also so angry and i heard them murmuring things like "You will pay" and "You cant finish a deal like that, we will sue you."

So i think i found the first enemy.

I directly texted Caleb telling him what happened , then i scanned the file containing the deal and emailed it to him.

He ordered me to tell him every single detail and send him all the files related.

And i think this may benefit us later.

When i finished , i went directly to Ashton's office , he needed to sign some papers.

I knocked and entered , he was standing in front of the big window lost in his thoughts, his tie was loosened and he looked so angry and i was afraid for sure.

I cleared my throat to gain his attention , he turned his back , his blue eyes had a darker shade now and they were fuming with anger and rage, they were looking directly into mine which made regret coming here in the first place.

"What?" He snapped , his voice made me shake and i actually forget why i came here in the first place.

"U-mm you have to sign these before i send them to the Human Resources section." My voice was so damn low and i felt it was shaking .

Dammit how i can speak normally with those murderous eyes looking at me like this.

"Leave them, i'll sign them later" He said sternly.

"But they need them now." I said but i wish i didn't open my stupid mouth.

"I said fùcking leave them here ! Are you deaf ? I say when they need or don't need them. For god's sake, just do as I say!" He shouted his voice sending shivers down my spine.

I don't know why i felt like crying, my body was shaking just because of his outburst.

How i'll be able to continue doing this, Caleb was right , this is so Dangerous , So Dangerous..

But i wont let him affect me or scare me like that , i threw the papers on his desk and stormed out.

Don't cry stupid , don't cry, you can control yourself , you have been through so much worse ,don't let this lame excuse of a human affect you like this.

My phone buzzed , it was Caleb he texted me saying these files will help a lot and the arguments between the two companies will be very good for our side.

That gave me the satisfaction i needed and my whole fear vanished in the moment.

I will have the upper hand on him soon, so i won't be afraid of him anymore, he is the one who should be afraid of me.

This just the beginning Mr. Ryder , the beginning of your end.

It is just the First Step.
