Before I begin, I want to clarify few things.

Virat, Rohit, Ajju, Jaddu, Ash, and few others are in London right now and Shikar, Bhuvi, Harry, and other youngsters are in Colombo while Mahi is in Ranchi.

In a Farmhouse, Ranchi, three people are having dinner.

"Sakshi, why don't you put the phone away at least while eating", said Mahi looking at his wife neglecting food being totally immersed in some conversation on her phone. Hearing which Sakshi just stood up from her chair and turned her head away folding her hands across her chest.

"What happened?", asked Mahi looking at her serious face.

"Why do you always have an issue with whatever I do?", shouted Sakshi eyeing Ziva's plate making sure that she is almost done with her food.

"Excuse me"

"Mahi, I am done with you finding faults in everything I do. Nowadays you are not even appreciating the taste of anything I cook", complained Sakshi making Mahi wonder where this was going.

"Sakshi, if this is some kind of prank, then I am telling you it is terrible", replied Mahi.

"Ya right", Sakshi rolled her eyes.

"Come on Sakshi, you really cook well. I don't have to say it every day", justified Mahi.

"But you scold me every day"

"Really?", Mahi looked at Ziva and she shrugged her shoulders not wanting to be involved.

"Okay Listen, what do you want me to do to make you feel better?", asked Mahi trying to pacify his adorable wife.

"I want to punish you", replied Sakshi not looking at Mahi.

"Punishment?"

"Yes, I will lock you both in a room all night", said Sakshi making up her mind.

"But why Ziva?", asked Mahi trying to understand what's cooking in her head.

"Because it's my wish", saying which Sakshi took Mahi and Ziva and locked them in their bedroom. Before leaving from there, she shouted "Call me if you need something, your mobile is on the bedside table".

Hearing which Mahi smiled and got settled down on the bed along with Ziva and he started narrating a bedtime story to put her to sleep. On the other side, Sakshi rushed outside to welcome Chittu bhayya and two security guards carrying boxes.

"Chittu bhayya, they are out of our way. What's the plan?", asked Sakshi.

"I don't know. Virat called me in the morning and said that few boxes will be delivered at my place and I have to get them here without Mahi noticing them", replied Chittu.

"Okay, let me call him", saying which Sakshi dialed Virat's number and he picked in the first ring itself.

"Vi, we have just 2 hours. What do you want us to do?", asked Sakshi.

"Bhabhi, it doesn't take much time. I have sent all that is needed. You just have to find a good place in your house to hang photo clips", replied Virat.

"Okay let me see and I will call you after we are done", saying which Sakshi disconnected the call.

Sakshi and Chittu went into the house and after good thinking, Sakshi decided that the wall in the hall would be perfect for the decoration and they both got to work.

After arranging all the forty photo clips sent by the team, Sakshi and Chittu added a few balloons and other decoratives to make the hall look like a small party venue, and by the time they completed it was already 11:50 P.M.

Waiting for five minutes, Sakshi went into their room and woke Mahi silently not wanting to disturb Ziva. Before he could say something, she shushed him and guided him to the hall. Still feeling sleepy, he slowly opened his eyes to find the wall glistening with lights and pictures. Under each picture, there is a message. 

He chuckled looking at all the arrangments and turned towards Sakshi and Chittu.

"So, the fight at dinner was an act for this", asked Mahi.

With a smile, Sakshi nodded and hugged him tightly wishing him "A very happy birthday Husband"

"Thank you, Sakshi", saying which he kissed on her forehead.

"Happy birthday Mahi", hugged Chittu as well and at the moment, Sakshi's mobile beeped with a conference call and she picked it up immediately facing the video towards Mahi.

Both the teams from London and Colombo shouted at once "Happy Birthday Mahi bhai"

"Now, now stop screaming boys, I don't want to become deaf", replied Mahi mocking them by closing his ears.

"Bhai", whined Virat making Mahi smile.

"Thank you guys, it really means a lot to me. But you all shouldn't have taken the pain to send me all these messages", started Mahi but before he could complete Ro interrupted.

"Bhai, I am feeling sleepy...please open the gifts first"

Hearing which Mahi guffawed while the team glared at him for being a party spoiler.

"Okay, let me see"

Mahi opened the first gift wrap and smiled looking at himself.

"It is one of the most memorable moments in my career", replied Mahi caressing the portrait.

"It was my choice", butted in Shikar with a grin. 

"We all wanted to gift you this one Mahi bhai and we are very happy that you liked it", added Bhuvi.

"But it was indeed my idea", argued Shikar but everyone ignored him.

Enjoying their banter Mahi placed it carefully on the table and picked up the next one. 

"Wow", exclaimed Mahi looking at one of his favorite rides with the team.

"I must say you all put in a lot of thought in choosing these pictures. I am absolutely in love with this sculpture made of marble as well", said Mahi with a broad smile and added "now let me see what is there in the third gift".

Saying which he picked up the last one but he heard a gasp from Harry.

"Who sent this one?", asked Hardik eyeing Virat through the phone.

Everyone was looking confused but right after the gift was opened, they all glared at Virat.

"So unfair Virat. It was you who said we will all send a gift to Mahi bhai together and you sent another one from your side", complained Rohit.

"It is just a memory, not a birthday gift", Virat tried to justify but no one looked convinced.

"Okay fine, when we were going around London, I saw a caricature of two people going on a bike and I couldn't stop myself from getting two copies of this", saying which he picked up one caricature from his bag which was similar to the one that now Mahi opened from the third gift.

"Though it is beautiful, the fact that you cheated us doesn't change. So, now I am going to sleep. Good night Mahi bhai", saying which Ro stomped out of the room making everyone admire his cuteness. And as they all know Virat, they didn't probe much into the topic.

"I think you all should get some rest as well, especially the boys in Colombo. You all would have to practice tomorrow right?", said Mahi getting into his elder brother mode.

"Ha Mahi bhai, let's talk tomorrow. Good night", saying everyone disconnected the call.

Even Sakshi and Chittu retired to bed while Mahi preferred to stay back to read all the messages which his brothers sent him with so much love. Every picture had a memory and remembering those, he too dozed off on the couch.

The next morning, Mahi, Sakshi along with Ziva and Lohani's(Chittu bhayya and family) visited the temple for blessings and returned back home at around 11 A.M and that was when Mahi got a call on the intercom from his security guard saying that there is a delivery boy.

"Sakshi did you order something?", asked Mahi for which she nodded in no.

"On whose name it is?", asked Mahi.

"On your name only sir"

"Okay bring it inside", said Mahi thinking about who would have sent it.

After the security check, they bought the parcel inside and placed it on the table in front of Mahi. He opened it only to find a delicious chocolate cake with a wonderful message on it.

"Papa, this looks yummy", squealed Ziva coming towards the cake.

At that moment, the security guard came in with another parcel which was bigger than the first, and as Mahi opened it, again Ziva squealed in happiness looking at her favorite cupcakes. Sakshi arranged them in steps on the dining table putting some balloons around.

Mahi was flabbergasted looking at them and he dialed Virat's number.

"Ha Mahi bhai, did the cake reach?", asked Virat with excitement evident in his voice.

"I knew it Cheeku...You guys are gone mad. What was the need for all this?", asked Mahi not wanting to let the kids pamper him.

"Mahi bhai, no scolding today. Be happy that there would be no cake smash this time", teased Virat taking it as a chance.

"I think you are forgetting that I am turning 40"

"As if we care", replied Virat switching on the video call and joined by the other teammates. He also called Shikar and added him to the conference.

"Wow, the cakes look amazing. Good choice Vi", applauded Shikar.

"Papa, come cut the cake", called Ziva while the team cheered too. With a smile, Mahi took the iron scale and went towards the table. While Sakshi held the phone, Mahi cut the cake and first fed Ziva while she gave him a bite of her cupcake wishing him. He later fed it to Sakshi while she hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. Then Mahi gave the cake to Chittu bhayya as well.

Later Mahi turned towards the team and put the cake in his mouth making everyone smile. 

"Boys, really you made my day. I love you all so much", said Mahi with happy tears about to roll down his eyes.

"We love you more Mahi bhai", shouted everyone and they started talking about everything and anything.

Between their talk, Ziva caught a glimpse of Sam with Ritika and she remembered a video where all the girls were playing "Ringa Ringa Roses" and she shouted "Ro chachu, I miss Sammy, Aarya and other girls, can I talk to them?"

"Sure sweetheart", saying Ro took Virat's phone and went towards the little ones followed by Virat and Jinks as well. As Ziva is busy talking to other kids, Mahi glanced at the gifts he received, and he again lost in the memories of the time spent with his kids.

I know this is dumb and rushed but I seriously and desperately wanted to write something for him and thought anyway there is no way that we will get to know how Mahi celebrated his birthday except the wishes of the team on Instagram, so I have imagined it like this. Sorry for not writing more, I  juggling between my office work and my health, not finding time to do anything else 😓
