I knew you for such a short period.

But in a single look, I felt as though I had known you forever.

I was never the spiritual type.

But I reckon if there is such a thing as reincarnation,

If there's such a thing as past lives,

You were part of each and every one of mine.

For this connection goes beyond this lifetime.

No one understands me like you did.

And no one ever will.

No one will ever be as perfectly suited to my soul as you were.

In all of the futures I envisioned,

I pictured you and I, old and grey.

But trialling times threaten those visions.

If we're not fortunate enough to pass together.

Wether you leave me in death, or I beat you to it.

I will bid you farewell with a promise to see you again in the next lifetime,

And a request that you find me faster than you did in this life.

For there is no amount of years with you, that will ever be enough.
