Dear Readers,

Here it is! Finally! A story in continuation with the storyline of Nakli doctor and Alsi Doctor. But first, here is a brief about those stories:-

Nakli Doctor: How Abhira met as children and their friendship blossomed. They are fierce friends and later, Abhimanyu leaves Udaipur to pursue MBBS when Akshara was about to enter class 9.

Alsi Doctor: Abhira through the years of separation- Akshara completing her schooling (9-12) in Udaipur while Abhimanyu completes 4 years of MBBS. For college Akshara shifts to a place closer to Abhimanyu's college. Another year passes. Abhimanyu completes his MBBS and Akshara finishes first year of college. They confess their love.

Coming to this story, it is like an epilogue for the mentioned storyline and will have some leaps. Enjoy!

Akshara (19 yrs)| Abhimanyu (23 yrs)

The day Abhira kissed each other on the day of the party at Abhimanyu's college was a really special day for them both. They were holding hands and Akshara was blushing madly the entire time at the function. Abhimanyu received the award and before leaving, made sure to drop a word about Ruby's behaviour to the dean and her harassment of juniors so that help her by threatening in the name of her HOD father.

Akshara then left for her hostel to give Abhimanyu space to say his goodbyes. Abhimanyu felt blessed seeing how considerate Akshara was of other people's feelings, specially his. Later, he cleaned out of his hostel room and reached Akshara's hostel. As soon as she opened the door to her room, he picked her up and smashed their lips together.

Akshara moaned loudly but thankfully no one was around to hear her. They made out for a long time before Abhimanyu broke the kiss and pecked her face a few times.

Abhimanyu: I feel like I am going to get really addicted to those.

And that he soon became, Abhimanyu was addicted to his girlfriend's lips. Now that he had tasted them, he couldn't stay away. Akshara was no less. She really enjoyed her boyfriends' warmth and how his kisses were- possessive and passionate. On their journey to Udaipur, they kept discussing about themselves. They also decided to keep their relationship a secret, at least till Akshara finished her education.

Despite deciding so, they failed terribly. At Parth's wedding, it was evident to everyone that Abhira were smitten. They all were habitual of Abhira always sticking together but now sparks were flying, literally. So, even when their relationship was a secret, their love wasn't. The families understood that both loved each other and it was only a matter of time before both understood the same.

A little while passed with Abhira's secret relationship. However, it wasn't just that. It was also a long distance relationship as Akshara still had two years of college left while Abhimanyu would pursue MS. The vacations were over, Akshara had to leave for Pune and Abhimanyu was staying at Udaipur and interning Birla hospital in the meantime.

Few days before Akshara had to leave, Abhimanyu planned a proper surprise for her. He booked an entire rooftop restaurant for her and had it decorated for the night. Akshara was amazed by it all while Abhimanyu was amazed by her. They stood in each other's arms and admired the stunning city of lakes.

Abhimanyu: I wanted to pick a spot with memories and then I realised this whole city is a witness of our friendship and love. So, I wanted a view that had it all.

Akshara smiled and stared ahead at the lake for a few more minutes and felt the cool night breeze. She shivered a little and realised it was due to the sudden lack of warmth from her boyfriend. He wasn't holding her anymore. She turned to complain but gasped when she realised he was on one knee.

Abhimanyu: I know the way we got together wasn't perfect. Us din mai ghabra gaya and we kissed. We've been together for a few weeks now but you deserve a proper proposal.

He poured out his feeling to her. Akshara pulled him up and hugged him while crying her eyes out.

Akshara: I am already your girlfriend but yes!!

They chuckle and rest their heads together. They had a great time at the dinner and went back home. Few more days pass and Abhira were trying to spend as much time together as possible since Akshara would leave soon.

It was the day when she had to leave. Abhira were making out in Abhimanyu's room. Abhimanyu was sitting on the red couch and Akshara was sitting on his lap with her legs on one side. She twisted her neck and gave him an innocent peck but it got heated. He picked her up and made her sit on the table. That allowed him to suck his girlfriend's pouty lips without bending too much. Akshara was moaning into the kiss and getting a little breathless when they heard a loud gasp.

Manjiri had discovered their secret! Actually, she always wore anklets that caused a sound whenever she was about to enter. One of them broke today so she wasn't wearing them. Except her, only his cousins came to his room and they all were loud so Abhira were caught off guard by her sudden appearance. It took a great deal convincing her to not let the family's know straight away.

Manjiri finally agreed but she was delighted to know about Abhira's relationship. She had always predicted this but this kind of sealed the deal. She did warn the kids to know their limits and be responsible with their relationship. Abhira nodded, feeling extremely shy. Later, Akshara left and Abhimanyu stayed back.

Akshara (21yrs) | Abhimanyu | (25yrs)

Two years flew by. Akshara had completed her UG while Abhimanyu was almost done with his MS. They tried to keep in touch always while respecting the other person's space. They also knew this was a crucial period for their future as well so they always supported each other's dreams and made sure that their relationship never got in way of other person's happiness.

Akshara returned to Udaipur and applied for a masters courses while Abhimanyu was busy making his career as a surgeon. Akshara loved visiting him in the hospital where he was in his element. Though she could never see him inside the actual OT, she absolutely loved it. She started assisting at her mother's academy to make productive use of her time.

One day, she marched inside her boyfriend's cabin. Finding it empty, she huffed and sat in his chair and twirled it for a while before her eyes fell on the photo frame in his cabin. It was a picture of his family. Right in front of it was a smaller frame that was a picture of hers- smiling. It was really beautiful. She smiled at the thought of being in his cabin even without being there. She rested her head on the desk and dozed off waiting for him.

Abhimanyu Birla came back later, tired and opened his cabin door while craning his neck. The sight that greeted him melted away his fatigue. He walked closer to his sleeping girlfriend and kissed her cheeks. She stirred a little but did not wake up; only moved a little. Abhimanyu quickly engulfed her in his arms and walked to the couch in his cabin. Making her comfortable in his lap, he too dozed off.

Later, he woke up to light nips on his ears. He groaned and woke up feeling a deep desire for his girlfriend but they never moved past kissing.

Abhimanyu: Akshu! Kyu test krti ho mere patience ko itna?

Akshara just giggled and shook her head.

Akshara: I came to know my dearest baby who has worked so hard for so many days finally had a night and morning shift off so I came to take him away for a while.

Abhimanyu: actually Akshu, sorry pr mai bs rest krna chahta hoon...

Akshara: trust me! I know....

Abhimanyu nodded. As Akshara said, she knew him well so she did not do anything fancy. She had a set up in his room itself as no place is as cozy as your own room and bed. She fed him his favourite comfort food that she made by her own hands and then did his massage till he fell asleep, feeling lucky to have the sweetest person as his girlfriend.

Weeks later, Akshara was torn regarding her career. Abhimanyu understood her dilemma. Akshara wanted to head her mother's academy but she also wanted to pursue her music and study therapy. Such combinations weren't easily available in India and where much better in other countries but Akshara did not want to leave.

Abhimanyu encouraged her. He knew distance had been big in their lives but he never wanted to cage her. If there was an opportunity, he wanted her to grab it with both hands. Finally, Akshara decided to leave. Her master course was one year but she decided to get work experience as well as some other diplomas which were mandatory before she could pursue her course. Abhira missed each other terribly. They were in different time zones and Abhimanyu's routine was bizarre.

Yet, they somehow managed to go on virtual dates and talk.

Akshara ( 23 yrs) | Abhimanyu (27 yrs)

Akshara was tapping her feet. She was feeling excited and restless. She was in a cab, heading home. She decided to come home early as a surprise for everyone, especially her man. She ran towards the house but found it empty. She enquired the guard who told her that they all were at Birla house for a party.

Akshara: Great! Sbko sath me surprise karungi...

The cab driver was gone. She asked the guards to take her luggage inside and herself took Vansh's bike that was parked in front of the house.

Akshara reached the house and tip toed inside the house but the sight shocked her. The family members were standing to the side and were tensed. Anand Birla was kneeling near the couch and on it was Abhimanyu. He was lying with his eyes closed and there was blood on his head.

Neil: (crying) bhai ko kya ho gaya? Meri hi galti hai!! Maine unhe tease kiya tha. Isliye vo mere peeche bhaage aur aur...(sobs)

Manjiri had her face covered and her shoulders were shaking badly. Akshara's own eyes widened and she clutched her heart. She could not lose her Abhi!

Akshara: ABHIIII!!!!

The family members turned towards the door as Akshara ran inside and kneeled next to Abhimanyu. She shook his body while asking a million questions.

Akshara: Abhi!!! Ankhe kholo...kya ho gaya hai tumhe?? Uncle kya hua hai Abhi ko??? Ye itna khoon!?!?....Abhi!!! dekho tumhari Akshu aayi hai...please uth jao na...Please...

Akshara started to cry on his chest.

Akshara: Abhii!!!! Tum aisa mazak kyu kr rahe ho mere sath!? Mujhe bilkul accha nahi lg raha!!! Please uth jao na...

Abhimanyu: Okay, uth gaya...

Abhimanyu said in a nonchalant tone and got up. Akshara's lips parted in surprise. She was too stunned to even form words. Manjiri removed her hands away from her face and Akshara realised she was not shaking due to crying but because she was laughing. She looked around and realised everyone was laughing.

Akshara: B-bu..but..

Abhimanyu: Tumhara surprise was not so surprising. Hume pta tha ki tum aa rahi ho.

Anisha: Actually flight me hone ke karan tumhara phone off thaa...call na lagne ki wajah se bhai tension me aa gaye...

Neil: aur tumhare college walo ko hi phone kr diya..

Parth: And we realised ki Akshara already wrap up krke chali gayi hai...

Manish: aur abhi abhi guard ka phone aya tha ki tum Goenka house ko..

Akshara was just listening to this while sitting on the floor. Her lips was wobbling.

Abhimanyu: Akshu?

Akshara: Kyu!? Kyu kiya aise?! Aisa bhadda mazak koi karta hai kya!?

She began hitting him nonstop. He chuckled and tried to stop her but she was sniffing and angry with him.

Akshara: Agar mai aisa mazak krti toh tumhe kaise lgta hai. Khoon se lath-path padi-

Abhimanyu: oye!

Akshara: Not hoye...

Her red nose and teary eyes made him guilty for his prank. He hugged her and let her calm down. The family apologized to her too and told this was actually her surprise welcome party. Akshara pouted but then forgave them. Anisha and Nishtha took her away and she got dressed in a beautiful silver dress. The families celebrated her return.

That night after the party, Abhimanyu took her to the gardens that he had decorated. There were many twinkling yellow lights adorning all the trees. Many pictures were hanging. They had them through the years. Abhimanyu proposed Akshara to marry him and Akshara laughed.

Abhimanyu: I know you and trust our love but ouch! Akshu aise haso mt, it hurts.

He said dramatically when she did not reply. He was still on his knees holding out the ring that was a simple band with a heart shaped diamond.

Akshara: sorry...(wipes her tears of laughter) actually...

She made him stand and took out a ring herself.

Akshara: I bought it from the money I saved from all the work projects I did over time. I was going to propose to you too...bs tumne aaj hi ye sb krke mujhe surprise kr diya, wrna kl mai krne wali thi

Abhimanyu felt special and kissed her. They made each other wear the rings and sealed their new status with a kiss.

The next day, Abhira informed the families. Except Manjiri no one knew that they were actually dating and acted to be mad at them.

Suhasini: Bs karo sb..Hum sbko pata tha ye dono ek doosre se hi shaadi karenge. Aaj nahi toh kl hona hi tha...hum toh khud soch rahe they ki ye baache jaldi nahi karenge to hum hi baath ched denge...ab sb ye mu fulane ka natak krke time mt waste kro...

Abhira were forgiven but they received epic teasing from their cousins. Harshvardhan would have been bitter about a non doctor bahu but by now he had completely accepted the fact that his son will never marry anyone else. Within a month, Abhira were thrown a lavish engagement party.

Now, Akshara began working at her mother's academy as well as singing on her own channel on social media platforms. She was an online star as well as well-loved in Udaipur. She also gave occasional music therapy sessions that were gaining popularity over time. Abhimanyu was promoted to team head at Birla hospital.

While their professional careers grew, so did their personal lives. Being in same city after so long allowed them develop a better understanding, not that they lacked that before. All in all, things were going great for the couple.

Akshara ( 24 Yrs) | Abhimanyu (28 Yrs)

After an year of their engagement, Abhira got married in Jaipur. Their friends and family were witnesses of their union. It was a beautiful, fairytale wedding of her dreams. Once they came back to Udaipur, more rituals were performed.

A week after all wedding functions and post wedding rituals were wrapped up, Abhira left for their honeymoon in Greece. It was romantic and they hardly saw the city in the first few days as they did not even leave their room. Abhimanyu had found his new addiction after Akshara's lips- his wife's body. He just couldn't have enough of her. They spend a lot of time memorising the curves on each other's body.

On the last two days of the trip, Abhimanyu took Akshara around the city and they bought a few gifts of families.

Akshara: Abhi chalo kapde change kr lete hai...

Abhimanyu: Akshu, subah se kitna change krwa chuki ho!

Akshara: vo... (blushes) agar humare saare pictures me ek hi clothes me honge toh sb tease karenge ki humne sirf ek din ghuma...

Abhimanyu laughed at his blushing wife but complied none the less.

Akshara (26 yrs) | Abhimanyu (30 yrs)

Abhira were 'the' couple. They were everyone's ideal who was craving love. Some envied their bond, some admired it but deep down, everyone wanted to have a relationship like theirs. Over the years, they grew together. Akshara's channel got many subscribers and she won a national singing competition after which she was signed by many banners. Now, she was a professional playback singer who occasionally did stage shows as well. However, she made sure her manager never over booked her and she had enough time for family. Abhimanyu got promoted further to be the head of cardiology department at Birla hospital and was the best heart surgeon in all of Rajasthan.

They both found balance in their relationship and career. One day, Abhimanyu came out of the surgery and received an awful news of his wife fainting during a rehearsal session. She was bought to Birla hospital and he was worried for her. But this aweful news soon turned to be the best news of their lives as they found out Akshara was pregnant. Abhimanyu pampered her to bits and cherished her throughout the pregnancy and beyond.

Akshara ( 41 yrs) | Abhimanyu (45 yrs)

Abhira now live in Mumbai. Abhimanyu was MD of the Birla Hospital's Mumbai Branch.

Years ago, when Birla's decided to spread their branch to another city, Abhimanyu himself decided to go as Mumbai was great for Akshara's career as well. Anisha and Nishtha were also married into the same city. Vansh had shifted to Delhi while Kairav, Parth and Neil were in Udaipur. Harshvardhan, Anand and Mahima had retired. Parth was now MD for Birla Hospitals, Udaipur and Neil was heading administration there.

Coming back to Abhira, they missed their home in Udaipur but they had created a beautiful life for themselves in Mumbai. Their parents also split their time between their two sons, now that they were retired. In fact, Harshvardhan stayed more with Abhira as Mumbai branch was relatively new and his expertise was helpful for the new admin department.

Akshara was now an icon in the singing world and Abhimanyu was the most sought after surgeon. Their twin girls (14yrs old)- Amaira and Akira, also called 'Ammu' and 'Akku' were splitting images of their mother but behaviour wise were more like Abhimanyu. They were fearless yet respectful. Their 10 yr old son, Kartikeya was names after Akshara's late father and was lovingly called 'kittu' by Akshara's paternal family. To Akshara's dismay, he too took more after Abhimanyu. In looks and behaviour. They were all fierce and strong-willed children.

Together, they grew in their professional and personal space- they grew in love- cherishing their perfect forever together.

PS: It is perfectly normal to live away from family. Living with them is great but leaving doesn't make one bad or mean. A person can start living away and focus on career without making it sound like they are abandoing relationships. Don't know when ITV will get this.
