Abhira were in their room. It was night time and they had had their dinner. Abhimanyu was busy packing their bags for their trip while Akshara was sitting on the bed with her legs dangling.

Akshara: Abhii!! Vo wali dress bhi rakh do...and uske saath ke matching heels bhi-

Abhimanyu: (mutters) flats me toh girti-padti rehti hai. Pregnancy me heels pehen ke jaise bada chal legi..

He packed her dress. Then he touched the soles of her flats and picked out the most comfortable pair according to him. Akshara's phone rang and it was Kairav checking in on her.

Akshara: Hi bhaiya!!

Kairav: Akshu! Kaisi hai meri behen?

Akshara: Rocking!

Kairav: Aur mera bhanja ya bhanji?

Akshara: Vo bhi bilkul mast...aur aap batao..ghar pr sb kaise hai?

Kairav: Sab acche hai..

Akshara: Bhaiya apko pata hai mai aur Abhi kl ghoomne jaa rahe hai..

Kairav: Great! Achanak?

Akshara: Mujhe bhi aaj hi pta chala..

She tells him about their plans to go to Pushkar. Akshara puts his call on speaker and he wishes them both a good journey. Abhimanyu finishes the packing.

Abhimanyu: and done!!

He says and sits next to her on the bed. Akshara smiles at him and puts her head on his shoulder.

Akshara: Thak gaye docman?

Abhimanyu: um...not much but thoda sa-...tum thik ho?

She nods and turns towards him. Abhimanyu puts a hand on her bump and bends down to kiss it. Akshara smiles at this and cups his face. She plants a sweet kiss on his cheeks and blushes.

Abhimanyu: Uff! Jaan hi le lo apne pati ki..waise tum ab bhi itna blush krti ho? Baby hone wala hai humara..you know, which means we've- (wiggles his brows)

Akshara: shhh.......ashareef Birla! Baby might hear you...

She chides him. Abhimanyu chuckles and kisses her nose before planting a big kiss on her lips leaving her more red than she already was.

Abhimanyu woke up early morning and had the staff take down their luggage. He decided to get ready first and let Akshara sleep a little longer. He freshened up and took out a comfortable outfit for Akshara. Then he woke her up lovingly and asked her to freshen up.

Since it was early, not many members of the house were up. Manjiri was up though. They had their breakfast and she gave them a full basket of homemade food and snacks for the way. Neil came inside the house.

Akshara: Neil! Is time bahar se kahan se aa rahe ho?

Neil: Kuch nahi bhabhi, vo bs kl trip ka pta lgte hi car garage de aaya tha. Mere friend ka hi hai. Priority basis pr service kr di. All is cool with it.

Abhira were touched by his concern and thanked him profusely. Abhimanyu fed Akshara her supplements and by that time, others started to wake up. They wished them a happy journey.

Manjiri: Mandir me dhok dekr jaana..

Abhira nodded and were about to turn when Goenkas entered the house with a very worried Suhasini.

Suhasini: Akshu! Abhimanyu..ye hum kya sun rahe hai??

Akshara: Mimi!! Aap yahan? (goes near her) itni subah? Sb thik toh hai na?

Suhasini: Nahi, kuch thik nahi hai..

Abhimanyu: kya hua hai?

Kairav: Vo mai subah utha to Mimi garden me walk kr rahi thi..maine unhe tum dono ke trip wali baat batayi..I thought ye khush hi hongi but she got stressed aur yahan ane ki zid krne lgi...hum sbne roka bhi..

Suhasini: Tumhare rokne me toh hum kabhi ane bhi nahi wale...aur tum dono...kaisi akal pr pathar pade hai...satvan mahina lgne wala hai aur nikle ho ghoomne..

Abhimanyu: Mimi, pass hi jayenge..car se...koi pareshani hui to raste me rok lenge car..aur teesre din toh wapis bhi aa jayenge...

Suhasini: baat vo nahi hai..(turns to Manjiri and Mahima) Ye toh bacche hai...aap to bade ho...aap log bhi inke ghoomne jaane se sehmat ho?

Manjiri: J-ji Maaji..hume lga man dusra ho jayega Akshu ka..

Suhasini: Mn doosra krna tha toh humare yahan bhej dete-

Harshvardhan: Apke yahan kyu jayegi? Humare ghar me kitne doctors hai...uska best dhyan rakhenge..

Akhilesh: Doctor toh humare ghar me bhi hai...

Harshvardhan: (mutters) Kaisi doctor hai pta hai...

Manish: Ye baat kahan ki kahan jaa rahi hai..

Akshara: H-haan...aap log sb shaant ho jaiye...Mimi, mai Birla house me khush hoon...

Harshvardhan: (to Manish) sun lijiye-

Abhimanyu: sirrr!....please control your excitement.

Akshara: Vo, mai keh rahi thi...baat ghar se bore hone ki nahi hai...hum bs do-teen din kahin ghoom ke ayenge..

Anand: And its perfectly fine.

Mahima: Ek bar last trimester lg gaya toh waise bhi sb rasmo me time nikal jata hai..and khud bhi utna mn nahi krta...

Suhasini: Tum humko mt batao beta...tumhare utne saal doctor-y krte nahi hue honge jitna humara tajurba ha....Agar ghoomna hi hai toh Udaipur kitna sundr hai...bahar kyu?

Swarna: Mai samajh gayi baat kya hai...

Akshara: Kya?

Swarna: Kaira ke time Kartik aur Naira bhi ghoomne gaye they...Kirti aur Naksh bhi-

Goenkas looked down in sorrow as it dawned upon them why Suhasini did not want Abhira to leave.

Abhimanyu: Kon Kaira badimumma?

Swarna: Akshu aur Kairav ki badi behen. Agr aaj vo zinda hoti to in dono se badi hoti hai....Naira aur Kirti ki first pregnancy ke time vo dono ghoomne gaye they...hadsa ho gaya aur Kaira bach nahi payi...Kirti bhi bohot din coma me thi aur Krish ko Naira ne pala-

Suhasini: (cries) hum nahi chahte waise kuch bhi dobara ho!

Realization dawned upon Birlas. They understood Suhasini's fears. Goenkas tried to persuade her to not live in the past and feed those fears. Birlas did not believe in such things but they did not say much. Somewhere they were concerned about the coming baby. Even Mahima, who was initially jealous, had warmed up a little.

Finally, Abhimanyu reassured Suhasini that he'd take utmost care of Akshara and keep them all posted. He informed them how he had checked weather forecasts, resort location and routes before finalizing the trip. Even the car had been serviced few hours ago. Suhasini saw no one was really airing her fears so she agreed after tying a sacred thread on their wrists.

Day 1

After the familyies sent them off, Abhira left. Abhimanyu held Akshara's hand and kissed the back of it as he drove out of the city. Soft music was playing in the background and they were enjoying each other's presence.

Akshara switched posture, took short naps and had a lot of food & washroom breaks before they finally reached Pushkar. It was late afternoon and they checked in at their resort. They were warmly welcomed with garlands and coconut water. A staff guided them to their couples' suite that faced towards the mesmerizing scenic beauty of Pushkar. Akshara looked at the beautifully decorated room with roses and chocolates. She sat on the edge of it and had a far look in her eyes. Soon, she became flushed.

Abhimanyu: Tum bhi wahi soch rahi ho jo mai soch raha hoon?

Akshara: hmm... this decor is so much like the decor in our honeymoon suite.

She hugged him and he pecked her forehead. Since Akshara was tired from the car journey, Abhimanyu ordered in some food before they both dozed off to sleep in each other's arms. They woke up later and went to visit the Pushkar lake. The night breeze was cool and the water felt very calming. They walked hand in hand, enjoying each other's presence with no pressure of work or anyone else. They talked about every random thing that came to their minds.

Akshara: Abhi!! Vo dekho...

Akshara pointed at a stall that was crowded. It was selling Kulfi. Akshara demanded it.

Abhimanyu: Akshu? Pr before dinner?

Akshara: We want it Abhi!!!

Abhimanyu: Pr?

Akshara: Abhi!...tumne promise kiya tha na ki trip pr mere sath mera Abhi ayega, Dr. Birla nahi..

Abhimanyu rolled his eyes and said yes. Akshara squealed, attracting attention but Abhimanyu made her calm down. He asked her to sit as he did not want her to enter the crowd in fear of getting pushed. Abhimanyu went towards the crowd. He had never done this before. He turned and looked at Akshara.

Abhimanyu: Pyaar hume kiss stall pr le aya...

He hummed before making his way through the crowd and getting her some kulfi. He gave it to Akshara.

Akshara: pr ye flavour nahi..

Abhimanyu looked at her in disbelief.

Abhimanyu: Inke pass toh yahi flavour hai..

Akshara: To nahi late..Itna bhi nahi pata..

Abhimanyu: Accha baba sorry! Ye bolo iska kya karu?

Akshara: Tum kha lo-

Abhimanyu: What!? No! Ek toh teen din gym nahi hoga..upr se ye-

Akshara: (gets angry) Tumhe itni body banana kiske liye hai? Mai golu hote jaa rahi hoon aur janab ko hot-hot bane rehna hai..

Abhimanyu wanted to laugh at her cute, jealous face. He controlled and cupped her face with one hand.

Abhimanyu: Akshu, meri jaan. Tum golu nahi, duniya ki sbse sundr insaan ho aur pregnant ho, which is a beautiful thing right? Ab tum toh baby ke bahar ate hi wapis pehle jaise ho jaogi lekin maine apni body ka dhyan nahi rakha toh tumhari samne kaisa bekar dikhunga...Aur na bhi hui pehle jaisi to bhi tum sbse beautiful rahogi...aur ab itni sundr biwi ho toh husband ko bhi maintain krna padta hai na..

Akshara blushed and hid her face in his chest.

Akshara: Mujhe shrm aa rahi hai-

Abhimanyu laughed and ruffled her hair. He gave the kulfi to a kid playing nearby and took her to a restaurant he had read about online. They had their dinner which consisted of traditional rajasthani food and came back to their resort.

Abhimanyu fed her supplements. They skipped her night walk as she had walked a lot around the lake. They changed and retired for bed.

Akshara: I love you Abhi...We both do-

Abhimanyu: I love you both..

He said and they slept.

Day 2

Abhimanyu woke up first which was usual for him. The baby tired Akshara and she often slept longer. He turned and saw her sprawled across the bed. He chuckled and kissed her forehead & nose. He kissed her belly as well before getting off the bed.

Akshara stretched and woke up. She gasped when she realized she was in a strange bed before recalling where she was. She smiled and turned to see her husband missing. She looked around and saw him stretching in the balcony. Akshara bit her lips as she saw his muscles flex through his tight vest. His abs were visible too. She couldn't deny, her husband was very desirable.

What Akshara did not like was that many found the same!

As she walked closer, the balcony of the room adjacent to theirs came to her view. She found a women in her mid thirties eyeing Abhimanyu. If eyes could shoot daggers, the lady would have died right there and even the great Dr. Birla wouldn't  be able save her.

Akshara: Abhiii...

Akshara back hugged him, taking him by surprise. He held her hands which were resting on his chest. She planted a kiss on his back and rested her face on his back, giving a stink eye to the woman who averted her eyes.

Abhimanyu removed her hands and turned to face her. He cupped her face and kissed her full in the mouth. It was his turn to leave her shocked. The woman gasped and left quickly.

At first, Akshara was hyper aware of her surroundings. She did not respond but as Abhimanyu kept nibbling her lower lip, desire pooled in her stomach. Finally, she gave into those feelings and kissed him back. This kiss was sweet and passionate. Abhimanyu poured all his love and care into it. He broke away after a while to let her breathe. Akshara panted and smiled, hugging him. She was still high from the kiss but she smacked him when she came back to her senses.

Abhimanyu: Ow!

Akshara: Beshrm Birla! Aise kaise kissi ke samne...(blushes)

Abhimanyu: Kiske samne?

Akshara: vo bagal wali balcony me thi ek-

Abhimanyu: I didn't notice (shrugs)

Akshara's eyes pooled with tears of love as it dawned upon her that regardless of how many women found him desirable, for him- it was only her. Always!

Abhira got ready. Abhimanyu helped Akshara with her outfit and hair. They ate breakfast in the resort's restaurant. That day, they decided to visit the various temples of Pushkar- specially the Brahma temple which was one of a kind. They offered their prayers at a few of them before stopping for lunch a local favorite cafe' called Laughing Buddha Cafe. Abhimanyu ordered in a salad and made Akshara order the same. She reluctantly agreed after Abhimanyu promised her to let her eat something of her choice later.

They resumed their temple visits. Abhimanyu made sure Akshara was properly hydrated all this while and regularly stopped for juice and coconut water. Akshara soon complained about being tired so they returned to the resort. Abhimanyu bought her some light snacks. She munched on some before falling asleep. Abhimanyu looked at his sleeping wife with love. He took off her shoes and planted a kiss on her nose before covering her with a light blanket. He called family and let them know they were safe and resting at the resort.

He knew getting regular updates would not only calm Mimi but others too who were worried but did not show. Akshara woke up after her nap and Abhira visited a cafe Akshara found online. Abhimanyu laughed when they reached there.

Abhimanyu: Seriously Akshu? (laughs) Doctors Cafe?

Akshara giggled and they went in hand-in-hand. Akshara ordered some pasta and fries with shake since canned soda drinks were strictly prohibited by her Docman. Abhimanyu didn't say much as he had promised after she ate salad for lunch. Abhimanyu ordered himself a sandwich and watermelon cooler. They talked about their day and were very happy for this time together. Then, they visited the markets of Pushkar. The rajasthani shops were similar to the ones at Udaipur but Akshara was very taken by the bright colors. They bought some souvenirs for the family and saw a photo-booth where they got funky pictures clicked.

Abhira stopped for dinner at a restaurant in the market. Abhimanyu wasn't that hungry but Akshara was. They ate and left for the resort.

Akshara: Abhii! I tired..

Akshara said as they got out of their cab. Abhimanyu looked at her, her body screaming about her tiredness. He effortlessly pulled her in his arms and began to carry her.

Akshara: Love! I didn't mean this.

She used to blush even when Abhimanyu picked her up in front of family. Now, as they crossed strangers who awed at the man carrying his pregnant wife in his arms, she was super flushed and he was too concerned for her to notice others.

Reaching their room, he asked Akshara to take the key out of his pocket. Akshara's face became red as she put her hands in his pocket and took out the card key. Abhimanyu kissed her cheek.

Akshara: Oye!

Abhimanyu: Hoye! (winks)

Akshara: Room me ghusne ka toh wait kr lete...

Abhimanyu: Ab tum aise blush krogi toh koi kaise hi control kre? Tum bs khush raho ki maine kissi ke samne nahi kiya kiss...

He said and opened the door while Akshara recalled how he actually did kiss her- full on the lips in front a woman that very morning. Abhimanyu sat her down on the bed and took off her shoes. Akshara tried to complain but he was firm about helping her. He drew her a warm bath in the tub and added bathing salts and bubbles for relaxation.

He smiled and turned to leave when she caught his hands. She pulled him to face her and drew patterns on his chest while looking down.

Akshara: Aren't you tired as well? It is a big tub after all...

Abhimanyu needed no further convincing. He undressed himself and entered the tub. Akshara yelled from outside.

Akshara: Abhii

Abhimanyu: Kya hua?

Akshara: Koi bathing suit to rakha hi nahi pr..

Abhimanyu: So? Aise hi aa jao-

Akshara: tumhe sharm hai?

Abhimanyu: Apni biwi se? Bilkul bhi nahi- Anyways, as I say, nothing we've not already seen-

Akshara blushed. She looked herself in the mirror. She had been self-conscious about the changes in her body but her husband had always given her unconditional love and support. She breathed and decided to be a little bold.

Akshara came inside the bathroom wearing a robe. Abhimanyu thought she'd ask him to turn but Akshara stood right in front of him before dropping her robe. Abhimanyu gulped hard as he saw his wife's changed body. She was a glowing goddess in pregnancy. As, Akshara sat in the tub, the foam covered her chest. She looked at Abhimanyu and his expressions sent jolts of pleasure in her.

Abhimanyu: Akshu-

He said huskily. It always turned her on but ever since her pregnancy scare, Abhimanyu kept all physical moments minimum as he did not want to hurt her.

Abhimanyu: Shh, relax..nothing like that..

He pulled her forward and kissed her lovingly on her lips and move down to her neck. She moaned his name in pleasure. He shifted to sit behind her and Akshara couldn't help her thoughts when she looked at his foam clad abs. He massaged her shoulders and she took his name in pleasure. His fingers were doing magic to her body and her day's tiredness began melting.

Akshara: Abhi?

Abhimanyu looked the raw desire in his wife's eyes that matched his own. He kissed her on the head and lifted her up. Akshara shivered at the cool air hit her damp body. Abhimanyu showered off the foam from their bodies before taking her to the room for a night full of love and passion.

Day 3

This was Abhira's last day at Pushkar and last day of Abhimanyu's holiday from work for a while. Their three days- two nights plan was ending. Akshara woke up first, surprisingly, and felt shy as she noticed her clothes; or the lack of them. She looked at Abhimanyu who was sleeping. His hands were around her in a protective yet gentle hold. Akshara's face was resting on his bare chest. She kissed it and cuddled closer into his warmth, falling asleep again.

They both woke up together after a while. Abhimanyu teased her. He realized it was late but decided that they deserved a lazy day as well. He ordered in their breakfast or brunch. They had their food and went to the resort's spa. Later in the room, Akshara called and chatted with the family while Abhimanyu packed everything. They left Pushkar and went to see the beautiful sights around the city. Since it was on the outskirts, they did not think it made sense to travel back and forth. They visited all the places while slowly driving towards Udaipur.

After seeing their last stop, they picked up pace and enjoyed their journey. They spoke with each other and Akshara sang many songs- much to Abhimanyu's delight. They reached Udaipur and the Suhasini was relieved to know they reached safe and sound. Abhira had some food before calling it a night. The family too thought to let them rest as talks could wait a day.

That night, Akshara and Abhimanyu rested in each other's arms. They recalled the blissful days. It was short but a much needed break from their regular lives. They'd always cherish this trip- probably their last with just the two of them. After all, a new member would soon join them in every step of their life.
