When Taehyung arrived with his friend, he was expecting Jennie to appear and greet them happily but nope.

It was supposed to be a surprise for her.

What even odd is that Jisoo was acting cold all the time. They were bewildered.

"are you sure that's not Jisoo concern? Not yours, if it is then I'll tell her myself it's none of your business" she have enough of the fake caring act, she wanted to be real.

Little did she knew that he care for her starting from the moment they met. Taehyung undeniably thought that Jennie is important to him.

It was just another misunderstanding.

"what do you expect Jen? Of course im worried, afterall you're my close friend" she still couldn't understand his motion yet.

Jennie ended up rolling her eyes in annoyance, she was actually hurt to hear the phrase of best friend.

She wants more than that. Was it really impossible?

"let's just switch this topic, okay? It's really stressing me out" her voice turned out stern and her gaze wander around.

They're supposed to have a nice lunch but now it's changing into a deep conversation.

"Jennie, what's gotten into you?" he needed explanation from her but it only gained him a sarcastic smile.

"it's all your fault that I became like this" Taehyung was more than surprised to hear her answer. He was confused as hell.

What's wrong with himself?

"you kept giving me fake hopes Tae. You might don't know about it but all I can say is that its hurt a lot" he could tell that Jennie was on the verge of crying.

Taehyung felt guilty eventhough he still doesn't understand what is happening.

"Jen, please don't cry. For anything that I've done which hurt you, please forgive me. Im so sorry" he kept apologizing in the hope that she wouldn't cry because of him.

"you're apologizing for making me love you? Just how heartless could you be?" tears finally rolling down her cheeks.

She loved me?, his gaze soften up.

His pair of hands slowly reached up and wiped off her tears, leaving her silent for a moment.

"this already happened so many time to me" he confessed. There's not much in his saying, it only left her disappointed thinking that she must be like the others.

Or does he mean that every of his close friend once fall in love with him? Its not impossible.

"but before you think of anything else, let me tell you that you're special to me because I felt as if you're my closest one" again, she felt hopeless.

How she wanted to give Taehyung a lesson for showering her with fake hopes.

"because I felt the same way as you" her expression drastically changed as soon as heard that. She quickly arched her eyebrows.

"wait, what?" at that moment a tint of rosy cheeks appeared as Taehyung let out a fake cough.
