[Still the same night just a little later]
Strangely, George craved human food.
"Hey Ringo?"
He looked up. "Yeah Georgie?"
George smiled at the nickname. "Want to... uh... Go out? I-I mean erm for dinner?" George stammered.
Ringo's eyes brightened up. "We could try the little resto a few walks from here?" He offered, cheeks tinted pink. "Few restaurants are open at this hour."
George smiled. "Sure. Whatever you want."
"I-I'll pay for mine, if you don't mind." Ringo said as he dusted his pants. The sleeves of George's coat almost hid his hands.
George shrugged. "Sure."
"Georgie look at that!" Ringo gasped, eyes wide as he looked up the sky.
George furrowed his eyebrows. "What--- oh."
A shooting star flew across the other ones. Ringo smiled like an excited child, blue eyes bright.
"Make a wish, Georgie." He giggled, leaning against him.
George pursed his lips. "They don't even work, Rings."
He gasped. "Yes they do! Watch me." He went silent, closed his eyes and wished. "There."
George rolled his eyes but he smiled. It was too cute.
"What did you wish for?"
He grinned at him. "That's a secret. Now come on, I'm hungry." He pulled him up, warm hands heating his cold ones.
George took one final look at the sky.
I wish.... Fuck, this isn't gonna even work. He sighed. I wish for Paul's arrival to be delayed, even for a bit.
"You'll see, it'll work later on." Ringo laughed as they walked out of the park.
George laughed along. "Sure, sure."
