|| Thirteen || ● Training With Zane ●
A note from the Author, I'm also so so sorry for the slow updates. I think I've got my mojo back now. Also, I loved the end of this chapter XD . Enjoy!
You yawned as you sat up in bed, your (H/C) hair splayed out in every direction.
"Geez, it's so cold. . . I think I'm going to go make some coffee or something. . ." You mumbled as you got out of bed, too tired to brush out your lion's mane of hair.
You looked out the window and blinked a few times before a happy smile lit up your face.
"It's snowing!!!!" You giggled and started humming, though you soon saw Zane approaching you.
"Morning Elsa." You joked as he stared at you in confusion
"Who?" He asks with furrowed eyebrows, his eyes scanning your face.
"Nothing!" You giggle before looking down at him, "How come you're up so early? It's winter break, sleep in a bit like the others."
"Well, I saw that it was snowing and seeing as how I am the ice ninja, I was thinking why don't we train?" He suggested as you smiled and picked him up.
"Good thinking little buddy! You go set up okay? I'm going to get ready." You sent him a warm smile, placed him back down and ran to get ready.
-time skip-
You smiled as you turned into your LEGO form and walked over to Zane, a song popping up into your head.
You looked eagerly at Zane, "Do you want to build a snowman?~" You sang.
"(Y/N), we don't have time to build a snowman, we have to train, remember?" Zane said as you stood there speechless as you then looked at the ice rink.
"Whoa! That's so cool!" You gape at the master piece, excitement bubbling up inside you.
"Mhm, we're going to be training on it." He said, walking onto the ice. You followed him, but slipped and fell.
"Ow. . ." You groaned in pain as you shakily got up, your knees wobbling as you tried to keep yourself from falling down again.
"(Y/N), are you okay?" Zane asked walking over to you, getting ready to give you assistance if he needed to.
"Yes, I've just never been on ice before. I'm fine, let's just get on with the training, okay?" You suggested as he nodded, backing up and getting into a fighting stance.
"Ninja-GO!!!!" You yelled, but before you even had time to react, you found yourself on your stomach, sliding to the edge of the rink with an unamused expression.
You huffed and got up, only to fall down once again with a loud groan, Zane's chuckle reaching your ears.
This is impossible, even if it's not him who hits me, I still slide everywhere. I can't even get a single kick in. You thought with a sigh before as your eyes widened.
Wait, slide... Kick! It just might work. You thought as you slowly shuffled backwards before launching yourself on the ground as you slid into Zane, knocking him into the air. You used this to your advantage and entered his mind.
"So far so good. . ." You whispered to yourself as you looked around the small workshop you found yourself in.
"Where am I? Wait that picture, is that Zane?" You asked yourself as you picked up the picture of a newly created Zane and his inventor.
The moment was short lived when you felt a draft of wind hit your skin. You turned around and were thrown into the air, only to land softly in some snow.
With your hand on your head, the monster ran towards you, making you yelp as the ice beast flung you again.
"When I said do you want to build a snowman. . . This was not what I had in mind!" You screamed as you were flung into the air for the third time.
This time you had landed on a frozen lake, making you gasp when you heard cracking. Every single movement you made, another crack would appear.
"No, I'm trapped!" You cried as your attention turned towards the snow monster walking towards you, it's beady glowing, blue eyes stuck on you, its target.
You clench your teeth as your hands turn into fist, your eyes skimming the area around you. Your (E/C) eyes came to a stop as you looked at the cracking ice underneath the snowman.
Somehow, the ice had a slide show of sorts carved into it. You squinted your eyes and hastily read over the pictures.
It showed the beast on top of the ice and a stick figure behind it, on safe ground. Emitting from the stick figure's hands seemed to be fire.
You smirked as you slowly got to your feat, your arms outstretched for balance. "Hey, Snowangel!" You taunted with a shout.
The snowman let out a nasty growl, a scowl on its face. You sent him a cheeky grin, your hands now pointed to the ice under his large feet. "Hope you know how to swim!"
Just as the Snowman reached out for you, you gripped onto his large hand and pulled yourself of the ice with all your strength. You ended up flipping over his large head, his other hand trying to grab you, only to skim across your skin.
You landed on the other side of the beast, solid snow underneath you. The Snowman cocked its head to the side as it looked at you, pure anger in its eyes.
You grinned cockily as you aimed your hands at the ice under the beast. "Bye bye, fishfood!"
With that, bright red and orange flames flew out of your palms as if they were a flamethrower, hitting the frozen lake.
With the heat emitting from the fire, the ice on top of the lake turned to a liquid instead of a solid, the snowman letting out a nasty roar as it fell into the water, melting under the heat.
You let out a shaky breath, the flames coming to a stop as you got up. Slowly and cautiously, you walked over to the lake.
Peering over the edge, you see no sign that the snowman had made it out alive. Now biting your lip, you looked around, trying to spot the energy source.
"Where is it?" You question yourself, spinning in a small circle to look everywhere.
The sound of water splashing behind you made you jump and turn around quickly, almost giving you whiplash.
With your hands raised in defence, you get ready for an attack, your eyes squeezed close and your lips pursed shut.
After a few silent moments, you got the courage to open your eyes. "Whoa." You let out a small gasp.
There, floating above the water was a beautiful, baby blue energy ball. It's aura so bright, it almost made you blind.
Slowly, the energy gracefully drifted off the water and closer to you, stopping just in front of your face.
You let out a soft sigh, your hand slowly reaching out to the ball. You placed a gentle finger on it, only making it shine brighter and turn half of it purple.
You blinked in surprise as the energy turned smaller and floated towards your amulet. As it entered into the star, your body went rigid and cold.
Your teeth started to chatter as your vision got foggy. "Here we go-" Your speech was cut off as you fell backwards into the snow.
---
With a sharp gasp, you let out a cough and looked around you. You were back on the ice rink with Zane in front of you.
"If I am correct, you must have attained my element." Zane spoke up as you grinned at him.
"As always Zane, you are correct." You sent him a thumbs up as you slowly started to advance towards him.
Zane sends you a look as you just stand there, smiling at him. "What are you planning, (Y/N)?"
You shrugged your shoulders softly, the smile on your lips is playful. "Hey, Zane?" You ask innocently.
"Yes?" He tilts his head slightly, his eyes narrowing at you.
"I'm not really sorry." With that, you raise your hands at him and ice blasts out of your palms.
Mists surrounds you both, and as it slowly starts to fade away, it reveals a frozen Zane, his mouth open and eyes wide.
You let out a hearty laugh, clutching your stomach as you fall forward onto the ice. Your body starts to slip towards Zane until your back was pressed up against his ice prison.
Once your laughter had died off, which took quite a while, the ice had melted half way down Zane's body.
With a sigh of happiness, you looked up at the sky as Zane leans on the ice, waiting for the rest to melt.
"Hey, Zane?"
"Yes, (Y/N)?"
"I don't ever want to build a snowman again."
