PoV: Shadow

He was always around after that day, constantly. I could always feel him near me, but he wouldn't always speak.

"Shadow, I want to ask you a favor," Sonic said as I laid in my bed. I had no need to sleep, still, I enjoyed a nap every few days.

"I'm not entirely comfortable with doing a favor for a ghost," I replied.

"That's not very nice at all," his voice echoed itself with every word he spoke, it was creep to hear him suddenly speak sometimes.

"What's the favor?" I asked.

"I want you to protect the others for me," I felt his chaos energy in my hand, he was touching me. His energy felt so weak now, it was equal to mine before... maybe even more powerful since he never relied on it like I did.

"I can't promise that-"

"You can!" He said, "You can keep working for G.U.N just please... protect them... because I can't..."

"Alright... I will..." I agreed to his favor... he was dead, it was least I could do any more. His presence faded... "Sonic? Sonic!" I ran outside. He was gone... "Damn it... not again! Shouldn't have agreednif he was going to cross over because of it..."

My hand was shaking, I clenched my fist to calm it down. I was missing any trace of him now... and I hated it.
  
   
PoV: Sonic

  I had to leave Shadow for now, the sun was rising and that met the week was finally over. Let's see if I'll be seen now!

"Sonic, you've returned," the Seir was holding something in his hands. A glass shere with a spout, "The potion has just finished cooling."

"Really!" I had gotten here with perfect timing.

"Just one past thing," he pulled one of my quills from me and mixed it into a black fluid the black liquid flashed white and then turned to gold, "there, now that your quill had been mixed into the potion, you can control who sees you with your own desire to reveal yourself. This potion will last a few days. You'll need to return and drink more until you've got a handle of your powers.

"Will I be able to interact with objects?" I asked taking the potion in my hands.

"You are aware that you've been able to do that the entire time aren't you?" He started cleaning up.

"I what!? I didn't not know!"

"Quiet, and drink the potion before it turns white," he said.

"Oh shoot," I started to drink and I was hit with a repulsive flavor. I was about to spit it out and the Sire stopped me.

"If you don't drink it all it won't work."

  It's so gross!! I forced myself to drink it all. It kept getting more disgusting with each gulp I drank the entire thing and he took the glass.

"That was repulsive..." I gagged...

"I forgot the strawberry flavoring," he smiled.

"You did that on purpose- agh!" I gasped as I felt pain throughout my entire body. For the first time since dying I fell and landed on the ground, "What... did you do... to me..."

"Its activating you powers, you'll have to suffer for a few hours before you can control it. I forgot to warn you about that. Theres nothing I can do until then. Just try not to throw up."

PoV: Shadow

  Sonic had been gone all day... I was sure he was gone for good. Rouge stopped by and broken into tears, she hadn't gotten over Sonic yet... then I remembered... tomorrow was his funeral...
