PoV: ...

  I felt relief in a way... the pain stopped completely. I started to get up, I couldn't see, my vision was blurry.

"Guys I'm good to go," I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision. I was in a dark the only thing that was glowing was the broken canister where the emerald was, "Guys?" I was alone, "I can't believe they left. I bet it was one of Knuckles pranks."

  I was walking but not moving.

"Huh? Ah!" I wasn't on the ground... I was suspended in midair... I couldn't go anywhere like this, "Guys..."

  I got the hang of this pretty easily thanks to having use of my super form and dark. Both could fly, so moving wasn't all too hard.

"I'm locked in..." the door was shut, "maybe if I- AHH!" I went completely through the wall and into the hallway... "What's going on... Guys... Tails? Knuckles? ...Amy... Rouge? Shadow you have to be here right? You're going to team up with Eggman to betray us and get the emerald for yourself like you always do Right?"

   I was alone in this powerless lair...

"Guys..."

  It was cold, or at least that was what I guessed. My breath released mist, but I didn't feel cold in anyway. I didn't feel warm either.

"I wonder if I can make it home..." I sniffed as I floated to the exit. I freaked me out, how I'd slip through a wall by mistake when I reached for a door handle to keypad. I hugged myself for comfort, it was weird, but I was sure Tails could fix it. He always knew how to fix something when I messed it up by mistake.

"Its dark..." the night sky was out, the moon was blue instead of white, "A blue moon? I didn't know it existed..."

  I was floating over the ground, I stated to head home. When I got there no one was home. It was empty...

"Tails? Are you asleep?" I checked his room, empty. Knuckles wasn't at his house, and Amy wasn't at hers. I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't find them...

"Guys..." I looked at one of the pictures on my wall, Cream and Cheese were smiling in one I took of everyone by greenhill, "Vanilla... I should ask her."

  I started to float to her house and I found her lights were on. I tried to knock on the door and I slipped right through it.

"Sonic... he wasn't even hurt..." Tails was crying... why...

"Tails dont cry, I'm right here-" I reached out to him, my hand slipped right through his- "no..."

"I can't believe he's really gone..." Amy was crying too. Knuckles had a bandage around his arm and there was a whole in the wall...

"Guys... I'm right here... don't cry..." I tried to hug Tails, my arms wouldn't go around him... I felt a lump in my throat as I continued to call out to them, no matter how loud I screamed their names... I was alone...

"He died a hero..." Knuckles whispered.

  That word... it felt like a knife went through me. I was dead? I died... I couldn't talk to them anymore, I couldn't hang out with them... or run lie I used to. I was just going to float alone here... forever...

"I miss him..." Tails hugged the chaos emerald in his arms, I felt a bit of heat and he held it.

"I'll keep watch over you guys," I stayed close to them, "I promise."
