A name is written on the piece of paper that was suppose serve as the wrapping of my lollipop. Aside from the fact fact I find it quite gross that a candy which is suppose be going into my mouth is wrapped in paper, I'm quite intrigued to know who this 'Jimin' person is.
I stay on the balcony to look out about the setting sun on the beautiful city I call home. I really am lucky to have awoken from my coma. Usually I will only think about it for a seconds and pretend to be really grateful when in fact I really am not. Now though, it feels different. My gratefulness is sincre. I spend so much time there that Hoseok comes into to find me. He sits besides me quietly until I acknowledge his presence.
"Hey."
He says nothing. It's dark by now.
"Hi."
We don't say anymore again. He takes my hand in his and we just sit there like nothing else matters. It was like for the time being it is of non-importance that Jooheon found a journal that may open the secrets to what's been hidden from us, or that the paper with the name was even relevant. However like all good thing, it came to end. Next thing I know I am down stairs helping Hoseok chop up some onions for the night's dinner while listening to his day at work.
"Also I saw Jooheon with Mark. Is there something wrong with his eyes or something? He was wearing shades inside. I know it bright inside but not that bright right?"
Stupid man had kept those sun glasses inside. I make a mental note to remind myself to scold him for doing so then laugh off the question. Hoseok laughs along with me and the topic of my friend's odd appearance is forgotten.
"How was your day Yoongs?"
I had ran around with the sun glasses red head but of course I could not tell Hoseok that. Unfortunately our investigations is a secret between the three of us so I lie. I tell him I slept in until very late then watched some criminal shows before heading off to the hospital to see him. In reality I had slept in but did not watched criminal shows, I had studied. My memories are slowly coming back so I thought that perhaps reviewing my medical books could help which as of right now has proven faulty.
"Seems fun." Hoseok shrugs. It sounds like all my other days so I know his answer was not sincre.
We ate our supper then took our usual spots on the couch to watch a soap opera I am not too fond of. The woman starring in it cries far too much and is frankly very annoying. She is being cheated yet does nothing about it. Her weak character does not appeal to me as it seems to Hoseok. At times he screams at the television, telling her it's going to be okay. Right about now she's about to have a sob fest so I rise and take my leave.
"But Yoongs! She's about transform, you can't leave!"
I hear that excuse every time I get up to go. I tell Hoseok the same as always, I am not interested to see her do so. I decide to take a walk around to the nearest park to say hello to the ducklings down by the lake. They're very cute small babies that follow around their mother about the park to feed off the food people leave behind. At time I like to buy them nourishment from the nearby machines. Today there aren't here which causes a frown on my face. I take a seat on the bench and look about my surroundings.
Everything looks the same. The trees, the grass, and the lake all keep their same look. The only thing that was different was the disappearance of the ducklings.
I sigh and decide to revisit what swims in the pocket of my pants. The piece of paper is a bit crumbled but readable. I pull it out and hold it up.
There isn't a name on it anymore. Numbers are present now.
Had I taken something else? I dig my pockets for any other pieces of paper but end up empty handed. It is then that realize just how naive I've been. I turn it over to find the five letters that spell out the name the of a stranger. Again I flip it, now I come to realize something even more intriguing.
The numbers are not random ones as I first thought them to be, it's a phone number.
As quick as I possibly can with my shaky hands, I pull out my phone. I consider calling my friends first to tell them we might have a lead with whoever this Jimin persona is. However my excitment cannot be contained so I dial the number right away. If this person picks up then maybe they help us and if not maybe they can help me. They may be of no use to our investigation but maybe in figuring out who I was. To say the least, I am very eager to hear Jimin's voice.
It rings a few times before the husky voice woman picks up.
"The Gonjiam Psychiatric hospital, how may we be of service in the late hours you have decided bothering us with?"
Confused by her statement I look to the time to find it only to be seven in the evening. Regardless I decide to answer her as politely as I can.
"Hello, I would like to speak to Jimin if possible."
There is silence for a few seconds then she clears her throat. Her next words are hushed compared to her first.
"Park Jimin?"
I am unsure but I say yes. Again she says nothing for awhile. I am about to hang up when I hear the slamming of an object then the woman's raspy voice once again.
"He cannot receive phone calls but if you'd like to come visit him I suggest you don't. Don't call for that name again."
Beeping echoes through my ears after her final word. I end the call that went much faster than I hoped. I am left stunned that my excitement was shot down faster than it rose. After I snap out of the trance the woman left me in, I have many questions. Like she so why she so quiet? Or what she seemed scared to name Park Jimin? Or why she asked for me not to see him? But most importantly, what is this hospital?
I tap in the name the woman greeted me with into the search bar of the internet, The Gonjiam Psychiatric hospital. I read the basic information to find what I was hoping was not true.
Park Jimin's in a mental hospital.

I feel like I've been gone for so long oh dear. Also I do apologize for errors, it's very late and I haven't slept well in like a week.
Hope you enjoyed!
