The next morning when I woke up, Akierah was already gone, he left a note explaining that today was his first mission. I tied my hair back up into two long pig tails and showered. After showering I brushed my teeth and got dressed. My outfit was red and black. I wore a black fishnet long sleeve undershirt that came up to right under my chin, black arm bands that went from elbow to my knuckles and had a red rim at the top and bottom. I also wore dark red pants with white bandages around my left knee with a black band in the center. My ninja sandals were black and came up to my knees with the toes open. My shirt came down to just under my breasts and had red rims, and over my pants was a fabric that had two sections on the outside of my legs and one in between them. After getting dressed, I grabbed an apple and headed to the designated spot. I was just finishing my Apple when I got there. I was only a couple minutes late.
"Wow cool outfit Kamiyuki-chan!" Naruto said.
"Kawaiiiii!!!" Sakura exclaimed. Sasuke just hned. I stuck my tongue out at him and hugged Cherry Blossom.
"Thanks. This is my ninja outfit. I didn't wear it yesterday cause I wasn't a ninja yet." I grinned. Hours later, Kakashi finally arrived and made some lame excuse about a black cat. He then held up three bells. He explained what we were to do. Before he even said go though, Naruto rushed at him.
"I didn't say go yet" Kakashi said with Naruto's own kunai knife pressed to his neck "but you came at me with the intent to kill; I think I may be starting to like you guys."
I rolled my eyes from underwater. Cherry Blossom and Sasuke already went off on their own. I already knew that there was no way I'd be able to get them to work as a team with me until after they realized the importance of teamwork themselves. As Kakashi did the faux thousand years of pain jutsu, I jumped from the water just as Naruto landed in it. I ran at a prepared Kakashi, jumping over his head. He obviously didn't expect it, but he recovered quickly, as to be expected of a jounin. I dodged as he threw a kunai clad hand my way, and back flipped over a leg coming my way. I grinned. He feigned left but his left hand was going right; I could tell though, that he was going to come in from both sides. I ducked and kicked his torso that he left wide open. I knew that this was supposed to be about teamwork, but there's no point in easily pointing out something they refuse to see and realize on their own. If that made me go back to the academy then so be it. I groaned as he grabbed the flap on the cloth over my pants and I faceplant the mud. He was playing dirty. Two could play at that game. I hopped back up, back flipped, grabbed the waist of his pants and pulled. He didn't expect that at all. I laughed my ass off as his pants lay at his ankles. Then I frowned. He had another pair of his stupid pants underneath. What. The. Actual. Orca.... I could see his smirk behind his mask. I shrugged. It was fine by me, I had gotten what I wanted; his Icha Icha book, and a bell of course. I ran away, pushing chakra into my feet to make myself go faster. When I stopped I grinned. I didn't see him anywhere. I held up the bell and the book as I shouted.
"YES!!" I jumped up and down before bringing my hands back down. My....empty....hands...
"KAKASHI!!!!!!! THAT ISN'T FAIRR!!!!" I shouted after his retreating form. Stupid Kaka-baka... I'll start calling him Bakakashi instead. I heard the shrill ring of the bell and ran back to where the stumps were. Naruto was tied up, Sasuke looked pissed, and Sakura was pale. What the frickety fracks happened to them?
"Okay! I've decided." Kakashi clapped his hands cheerfully. He's so mean, tricking us.
"None of you need to go back to the academy..."
"So that means...!" Naruto started.
"We pass?!? All I did was run around and feint, do we get points for that???" Bless Sakura's stupid little heart, but for the smartest female student in class, she's really dumb.
"Yes, none of you need to go back to the academy..... because you should all just quit being ninjas.... permanently." He finished with a blank look.
"NANIIII?!!!?" Naruto shouted.
"Not one of you grasped the point of this exercise. Kamiyuki may have understood the point of this exercise, but she didn't even try to act on it, so she's the same as the rest of you." Kakashi said becoming fed up with their cluelessness. Naruto had a stupid look on his face.
"Wait, I don't get it. So what is the point of this exercise?" Sakura questioned. OH. MY. FUCKING. KAMI! How can the poor girl be so stupid. Bless her adorable, stupid little heart.
"TEAMWORK!" Kakashi shouted. "Not one of you tried to team up. As genin, you should all have a natural instinct to team up, but not one of you tried to team up! Did any of you really think you could beat a jounin? Naruto, you tried to do everything on your own, spouting out how you needed to prove yourself. Sakura, you ran after Sasuke the entire time, ignoring Naruto who was right before your eyes! And Sasuke and Kamiyuki, you two were the worst! You Sasuke, you thought that you were so good, so skilled, and that everybody else was below you! And Kamiyuki, I don't see why you're smirking, you were jut as bad if not worst than him! You knew the point of this exercise the entire time, but you refused to act on it, choosing instead to do things on your own. While yes you were the only person to actually get a bell, you fail because you abandoned your teammates. Did you think that having your little secret, knowing the answer, would get you a pass while everybody else failed? Disgusting!" He spat out. My eyes became hard as I moved my lips into a straight line.
"You sir, are very wrong." I said. His head snapped over to me so fast I thought he got whip lash.
"What?" He growled out lowly.
"I didn't think that knowing would get me to pass. I knew that none of them would team up with me until they understood the objective and it's consequences for themselves. I figured that as long as they eventually came to understand it themselves, then I didn't mind having to go back to the academy, especially since I was never enrolled for more than a day in the first place." I said quietly. I went and huddled near one of the stumps looking like a depressed chibi. Kakashi and Sakura sweat dropped at the dark aura around me.
"Come with me." He said walking over to the K.I.A stone.
"All of these names," he said running his finger over the name of Rin. "These are all hero's of this village. People who sacrificed everything to ensure the future of the leaf. Each and every name, represents a hero who-" Kakashi was cut off by Naruto's idiocy.
"THAT THAT THAT!!! THAT'S IT! I've decided, I'm going to have my name on that stone! I'm going to be a hero!" He shouted enthusiastically. I sighed. He really was clueless.
"Naruto...." Sakura and I said at the same time. His smile fell at the somber looks on our faces.
"These people... they're all K.I.A." I finished.
"Huh? K.I.A? What's that?" He asked, looking around with a confused frown.
"K.I.A means killed in action dobe. All of these people, all of the names, are people who died to protect the leaf. These are all people who died protecting our home." Kakashi said. We walked back over to the stumps.
"I'll give you all one more chance, but this time you'll only have three hours to collect a bell. Hurry and eat your food so that you can be at full strength. But don't give Naruto any."
"WHAT?!?"
"That's your punishment for cheating and trying to eat by yourself." Kakashi said. We all pulled out a bento box and began to chow down. Sasuke thrust his food in Naruto's direction.
"What're you doing Sasuke? Kakashi said-" Sasuke cut her off.
"Kakashi is nowhere near us, and Naruto will only get in our way if he's fighting on an empty stomach." He bristled. I smirked. Sakura followed his lead.
"I'm on a diet anyways..." she mumbled.
"Thanks Sakura-chan, but.... I-I can't really eat... being tied up and all." He said blushing.
"Fine... BUT THIS IS A ONE TIME THING!!! I will never ever ever do this again!" She glared as she and Sasuke began feeding him. I laughed, finishing off my tofu and fish.
I crawled over to Sakura.
"Open." Demanded. She blushed but did as I said. I began to feed her some of my rice and pork. About halfway through, I crawled over to Sasuke.
"You need food too.... I don't care about your pride or what you want right now, but if I have to, I will force feed you." I said giving him a sharp look. Hesitantly, he reluctantly opened his mouth. I'd only given Sasuke two bites when Kakashi came thundering im with his big dramatic entrance.
"YOU!" he bellowed. The skies darkened and thunder sounded in the sky. Lightning struck the floor.
"Any last words?" He asked.
"We need him at full health!" Sasuke shouted. Sakura was trembling.
"Y-yea! We fed him because the four of us are a team! We're all one together!" She shouted. Awwweee! How adorable.
"You fed him...because the four of you, are one?..."
"Yea what she said." Naruto butted in... a little late now...
"YOU... pass!" He said smiling as the sky returned to the cheery bright blue it was before.
"What?!?" The three of them said in unison.
"You. Pass. Nobody else has ever passed my tests because they always did exactly as I said like mindless little slaves. You guys are the first to pass. In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum; but those who abandon their nakama, are worse than scum. You guys all pass. Meet me in front of the hokage building tomorrow. We have our first mission tomorrow."
