Today was such a wonderful day in the city. I went to rehearsals for "Finding Peter Pan's Story" earlier. When I went to rehearsals I was told I would be able to play the lead role. It was so exciting for me. It was a long rehearsal for me because I was there earlier and later then everyone else because I had to learn all new lines and I am now in most of the show. When I did the run on Broadway as my debut I wasn't in a lot of the show. This was a huge step for me. I'm going to enjoy having this stage time now.
The show will start touring soon in North America. I will be touring with the show all around North America and most of Asia.
When I start touring I'm rooming with some of the ensemble girls in the hotel rooms we will be staying at because we can't take up the whole hotel for just the cast. The longest run with be for 2 months. I'm not sure exactly the states and where I will be performing yet but I will find out soon. The tour will be very different from the run I did on Broadway. Each day we make the show something different so the audience members will was to keep coming back again and again.
Being in New York now living on my own with my friend with nothing to worry about that has to do with college is great for us. I love to go support my friends by watching them once a week. Each day is something different when I wake up. I usually wake up at 8:45-9:00 because I like to go to Chelsea piers for cheer,gymnastics and dance. I go there everyday for something different. Some days I go for cheer, some days I go for gymnastics. Other days I go for dance rehearsals. We have dance there all the time. Once a week I go to soul cycle with my friend Cassie before the show. We loved getting our workout for the week together.
In the morning I would always start by working out to get my body warmed up. I would go to Central Park to run around and create a workout in the environment around me. Having a workout in Central Park made is so exciting for me. Growing up I always did a warmup stretch and go for a run before going to the theatre for the shows. Even at the show we always did a warm up as a whole cast I wanted to make sure I did what was right for my body first then stretch anything extra I didn't when I was at the show warming up with the cast. The show was one of the greatest things that ever happened in my life. The cast and I would always have fun on 2 show days. Most people went out to eat in other shows, but at our show we all went out together to get stuff to eat then we all took it back to the theatre to eat together in the green room or someone's dressing room. As a cast we had many inside jokes that made us laugh multiple times on stage during rehearsals.
We had some of the funniest onstage mishaps in rehearsals most days. When we first started performances the audiences had a spark of joy when we started our lines in the beginning of the show. The beginning of each show in each city is something different because each leading man I played opposite of was different. As performers in the show we also wanted to make the show new in each city if someone was seeing the show for the second or third time after seeing in on Broadway.
