The group had set up a base at the entrance to the sewer tunnel leading to the creature's nest.

Frank was gearing up to enter the tunnel with Dwayne.

Frank: This goes up top on the list of fucked up shit I have had to deal with.

Dwayne: Mine as well, next to the heroin fueled bachelor party fight my team handled last year.

Frank: Bachelor party huh?

Dwayne: Long story.

Emma approached the two.

Emma: Gentlemen.

Dwayne: Lady. You are looking stunning this evening.

Emma blushed lightly.

The chief walked up to the group.

Chief: Well damn, the bot has some moves with the ladies.

Dwayne: I observed many "pick up" videos on YouTube.

Frank: That explains it.

Emma: Anyway, this tunnel leads to the creature's nest, and Beta team has the bomb primed and ready.

Frank: Is the bomb reengineered?

Emma: Yes, the coroner aided in the process from the hospital, Beta team just needs Alpha team to escort them into the nest, which you two are leading.

Dwayne loaded his rifle.

Dwayne: Prepared for combat sir.

Frank: Good to know.

Frank looked at Emma.

Frank: I....I'm not sure if I'm coming back....

Emma hugged Frank.

Emma: Don't say that. You will come back, and we will be partners for life.

Frank gave Emma a warm half smile.

Frank: To protect and serve, partner.

Emma looked at Frank, a warm smile on her face as well.

Emma: To protect and serve.

Frank then left with Dwayne, along with the rest of Alpha team and Beta team.

The officers who stayed at the base, Emma and the chief among them, saluted the two teams as they entered the large, dark tunnel.

Timeskip, Decontamination Chamber
Alpha team had separated from Beta team to secure the large chamber.

The plan was for Alpha team to draw the creatures away from the chambers main room so that Beta team could set the bomb.

Due to the complexity of the bomb, it would take some time for Beta team to set the bomb, and one mistake could cause it to explode early, and take the lives of both teams.

Alpha team took position on a balcony overlooking the chamber's main room.

Alpha team saw a horrific sight below.

The chamber below was lined with pods that were guarded by several of the creatures.

Even more terrifying, the floor and walls had several bodies across them, all with large holes in their chests.

Beta team had taken cover at the entrance to the chamber, and waited for Alpha team to draw the creatures away.

Frank consulted Dwayne on a plan of action.

Frank: There is a lot more than we thought.

Dwayne: Agreed, we need a new plan.

The two thought for a moment.

Dwayne: There is a tunnel from the city's old sewer infrastructure, if we were to lure the creatures in there, we could use the explosives we have to collapse the tunnel on them.

Frank: That's genius! Men, fire at will!

Following Frank's order, the men began to fire on the creatures, causing them to run towards them ferociously.

As the battle went on, the two teams felt the ground beneath them shake.

Then, as if a demon crawling from the abyss of hell, a giant beast emerged from the dark tunnel, with the Knight in tow.

The large beast let out a unnerving roar that hit the men in their very souls.

Dwayne: That must be the Queen.

Frank: No shit.

The Queen arched it's head up to the group, and ran up to the men.

Dwayne: Time to go.

Frank: Yep. Fall back!

Alpha team ran into the old tunnel, with the Queen and creatures in tow.

Beta team used the diversion to set the bomb in the center of the room.

Alpha team ran with a unparalleled desperation into the old tunnel.

After passing under a seemingly unstable archway, the group threw their explosive ordinance at the archway.

Frank had the detonator for the explosives primed and ready.

Frank: Get out of the way!

Frank was close to pressing the detonator when the Knight attacked him, throwing him against a wall, and loosing the detonator to the far side of the room.

The Knight approached Frank with a enraged stance about it, and just when it was going to slash Frank's life away, Dwayne ambushed the creature from behind, holding it on his steel grip.

Dwayne: Get the detonator sir!

Frank hazily ran to the far end of the room and grabbed the detonator.

Dwayne, however, lost his grip on the beast, and it lunged at Frank, knocking him down into the filthy water.

The Knight brought it's gaping maw down on Frank, but was interrupted by his pistol's barrel in it's mouth.

Frank locked his gun.

Frank: This is for Ricky.

Frank pulled the trigger on his pistol, and blew a hole into the Knight's head, killing it.

Dwayne pulled the monster's carcass off Frank, and helped him up.

Dwayne: Good shot, sir.

Frank: Thanks.

The celebration was short lived, as the Queen was breaking through the archway.

Frank: Eat this bitch.

Frank activated the detonator, destroying the archway on top of the Queen, burying it in rubble along with her servants.

Alpha team celebrated their victory.

Frank: Wrap it up boys! We need to regroup with Beta team.

With that, Alpha team went to the chamber to meet Beta team.

When Alpha team reached the chamber, Beta team was still setting the bomb.

Frank: Take your sweet time! Not like the damn alien apocalypse is around the corner!

Dwayne: Let me take over.

Beta team moved aside to let Dwayne operate on the bomb.

Just then, a similar shake in the ground caught the groups attention.

The Queen had survived the tunnel collapse, and though injured, approached the teams in anger.

Frank: Dwayne, time to wrap it up!

Dwayne: I need more time!

The two teams fired on the Queen, but did nothing but stun her for a moment, as her skin was to thick for their bullets to pierce.

Frank: Almost done Dwayne!?

Dwayne: Yes! Let's go now!

With that, the two teams ran wildly back to base, the timer on the bomb ticking away.

Frank activated his communicator.

Frank: Emma! Close the sewer door!

Emma: Will you make it!?

Frank: God I hope!

The two teams saw as the giant gate in front of them began to close slowly.

The teams reached the gate as it was nearly closed, and the Queen was not far behind.

Frank slid into the opening under the gate as it closed, trapping the Queen inside.

A moment later, a large explosion rocked the tunnel that the base was in, and the Queen roared ferociously, then suddenly stopped, signaling her demise.

Emma ran up to Frank, still laying on the ground.

Emma: Thank god your okay!

The chief and Dwayne approached Frank.

Dwayne: Well done, sir

Chief: Congratulations on stopping the alien apocalypse son.

Frank looked at the group.

Frank: It's finally over....
