Chapter 11 - escape the clasp of the devil

In shock and fear, unexplainable emotions all thrown together all at once when they shouldn't be, as the blood of their comrade javiers rains down upon them, and the beast that had killed him ripped him in two right in front of there eyes, stands right in front of them, black crowned head bearing down on them from the substantial height the alien queen is, towering over he marines like a 14 tonne truck.

The queen hisses in silently staring them down looking at jenson and his marines like food, or worse hosts to its babies, jenson and his team are stunned and unsure about what just happened, was it a dream or reality, could javier really be dead, just like that.

The queen moves a foot forward swaying side to side looking at the group of marines, hissing as it slowly moves, drool falling from its mouth, hitting the floor before it.

Jenson and his team slowly move back not averting their eyes from the queen as she slowly gains on them, her tail whipping left to right, Jenson slowly loads his grenade launcher on his pulse rifle with an incadinary grenade it's all he has left after there last encounter with the creatures from the pilots room, Jenson prays and hopes that this works, hopes that the flames will burn the queen alive or by them some time to escape this fate.

Everyone gets behind Jenson as he looks for another way out of the nest, looking around he sees only death, more of those creatures on the walls that look like four armed furry cats, there chests ripped open, and eggs all around some opened some closed, they will have to keep there distance if they are to survive escaping.

As Jenson looks back at the queen tormenting them with her heavy hissing, he notices more aliens crawling out from the roof above her, clinging to the walls, and hissing all the same, there hissing Sounds like chants they make at gladiator pits when the gladiators are going in for the kill, except for the loud shouting of drunkards, it is a low tormenting repeat of the word kill.

"There's to many corporal" Beth said in a whisper

" I know we surrounded look for a god damn exit" Jenson says looking around the hive for an escape route

Ororo stands by jensons side tears of fear and emotions all being ripped from her inside for what she had seen happen to her best friend, even lover some could say.

Her close attachment to javier caused ororo to have extreme grief in this moment watching his body be ripped in two by the devil and being covered in his gore, knowing that there was nothing she could do to prevent what happened.

Ororo just stares at javier cold dead corpse, his top half javiers eyes wide open staring into the darkness that had taken his life, brain function dead, he was in a better place now, ororo hoped.
Javier grew up in a happy Christian family, praying to god every night before dinner going to church every Sunday evening, his souls now rests in his heaven.

Hearts pounding and adrenaline rushing threw the marines blood streams, ororo wants to grab javiers body, well what's left of him, and give him a proper burial but doin that would mean she to would meet her inevitable end, and for nothing, she had to think over and over in her head he is in a better place, there's nothing further I could do.

" there to our right an opening we have to run" Philip screamed at Jenson and the others,

" go" ororo said calmly pulling up her m-41a pulse rifle " I'll hold them off"

The queen alien tilts her head to the side dropping her lower jaw, her tail still whipping side to side like a cat ready to play or even hunt, she is waiting for a reaction from something biding her time, and tormenting there souls with fear with the sound of her hissing, and the glare she is giving them.

" I'm not gonna lose anyone else ororo your coming with us" Jenson said not taking his eyes away from the queen

" I never said I wasn't coming corporal I'm just gonna teach this bitch a lesson" ororo said pumping the grenade launcher " now run and don't stop I'll be right behind you

Ororo stared down the queen holding her pulse rifle towards her, ororo puts one foot back to steady herself and screams " come at me bitch!!"

The queen screeched off the top her lungs and the other aliens scrounging the walls, the ones from the pilots room starting crawling fast along the walls towards he marines, the queen starts moving towards ororo glaring and screeching at her as she starts running towards ororo.

But ororo holds her ground, Jenson starts firing on the aliens on the walls of the cave making there way towards them, javiers guns was thrown from his hands as he was ripped in two and had landed just behind them, Jenson noticed it and made his way towards the m41 - a pulse rifle, while still shooting as much aliens as he could.

The queens tail starts to whip around for the death strike and aims for ororo, the queen was only a few metres away from her as she whipped her tail around, ororo rolled out of the way, then took aim with her pulse rifle and fired a grenade, the queen just dodged and the grenade made an explosive impact against the wall the the queen, rock and fire broke and fell down upon the queens eggs she had laying around, they splattered and burned, and ororo fired again, the queen moved quickly as she has now probably learned what the grenades can do to her if she is to be hit.

The second grenade missed as the queen spun its self in a circle to avoid the grenade facing towards ororo again, the queen screamed as the grenade hit the wall again in a different place but still did the same amount of damage, except now she had also taken a few of the smaller aliens with the explosion, the debri did the same again, and with the flames from the explosion, the eggs caught fire, they looked like big flaming torchs planted in the ground.

The queen was pissed but looked also frightened at the same time the queen moved away from the fire screeching and tail in front of her face her arms to are covering her face like it was burning her eyes, if she has any.

The queen put her arms down and stared at ororo, ororo just stared back still holding her pulse rifle the fire getting bigger more eggs catching on fire lighting up the dark damp hive, two smaller aliens jumped to either side of ororo and with a quick swift left right turn she had taken them out with ease, the bullets shattered through the creatures ripping them apart the blood splatter flew away from ororo and landed behind the aliens, the queen screamed and started running for ororo.

Ororo thought fast she quickly reached to her belt which carries her hand grenades and grabbed an incidinary grenade, as the queen ran for ororo tail whipping side to side ferociously, jaw lowered, while screeching and arms out ready to rip ororo to pieces, ororo threw a incidinary grenade to the floor in front of her and ran towards Jenson and the others while Jenson still shoots them away.

The group are slowly making there way to the exit, when the incidinary grenade blows the hive is engulfed with flames the queen stops in her tracks as she watches the destroyer of her home run away from her grasp, the queen surrounded by flames screams and the smaller aliens stop coming for the group and run over to there queen to aid her some of the aliens head towards the flames and the others climb the hives walls and drop down to her, the aliens heading towards the flames are jumping into the fire, they are squealing as they burn, they must be in pain but they have no soul to torture, they are just pawns to the queen.

Jenson, Beth and Philip get to the opening and look back to see ororo only metres away from them watching the aliens burn and the queen suffer and hopefully die in her fiery grave with her pawns,

" we have to move ororo lets go before they come for us again" Jenson screamed as loud he could so ororo could hear him over the dreadful screeches of the aliens,

Ororo turns around and walks away from the flames and meets up with the rest of the group, she turns back around and grabs another incidinary grenade and ditches it over arm directly at the queen,

"Feast on that you bitch" ororo yells then turns and walks away and heads down the tunnel away from the light of burning alien corpses.

The queen had seen the grenade coming and turned and ran away from it, she didn't have much space to move as the grenade exploded, but she closed herself in to the entrance in which the group had come in from, the other smaller aliens, most of them were caught in the explosion and the bodies flew around the room burning, the queen made her way as best she could threw the entrance in which the group came through, even if she couldn't fit properly because of her large crown she burrowed her way through pulling rocks from the walls and throwing them behind her, the smaller aliens followed into the darkness where they belong, but the queen wanted something else she didn't want to rebuild her hive again yet she wanted revenge for her babies, she wanted to impale and torment the destroyer of her hive and get revenge.

Jenson watched the last grenade go off and watched the queen escape, as did Beth and Philip, ororo was walking away and not looking back if she looked back now she can only picture Javier and what had happened to him, Jenson and the others follow ororo down the tunnel hoping that it will lead to an exit.

" I don't think we will have much time if that queen gets out through the way we came in, she could find us again and I don't think we have much ammo left to keep her away or even survive against any more attacks from those things" Philip said to Jenson as they walk,

" no we won't Philip we won't survive another attack like that or the one from the pilots room, my ammo is scarce after what just happened and I don't think ororo has much left either goes for grenades as well I have two hand grenades and about 100 bullets in the pulse rifle, no more clips for it, and two clips for my colt, which they hold 42 bullets each, I probably have about half a clip already in, and I don't think the queen will find it to easy getting through the way we came in she is to big, the tunnel we are in now is much bigger and must have been her way of transport if she ever had to leave the nest, and I didn't notice any other exits, so on the plus side I am thinking this way actually has to lead somewhere, where i don't know but as long as we are away from her and it's back in the ship we can hopefully find our way back to the sarge and get off this planet"

" you might be right corporal, I mean I hope your right"

"So do I Philip, I don't think ororo will make it much longer especially after what just happened to Javier in fact I don't think any of us will make it much longer if this keeps happening" Jenson replies to Philip looking at Beth and ororo walking in front of him and Philip, ororo is further ahead than Beth but she is still in eye view
" should you go and talk to her" Philip replied curiously

" no just leave her be for the time being we are all here for her we just need to keep our eyes opens for each other especially ororo, but for now just leave her to her self she knows we are here to help, support and survive together"

"Alright then, you know corporal your a good person I can see why these people follow you your strong, willing and hear felt, the perfect team leader, or well the perfect anything"

Jenson looks at Philip with a confused look,
" what do you mean anything?" He asked

" oh nothing I just meant it hypothetically" Philip replied with a small smile and Jenson,

Jenson kept his mouth shut from then on, after that last comment Philip made, it made Jenson unsure about Philip something didn't seem right after everything that has happened he could still smile like nothing has happened. And he says weird unsuspecting things.

The group continue walking keeping there eyes and ears open making sure nothing gets the jump on them, guns ready, Jenson sees ahead of them a light, very faint but a light at anything either they have gone around in a circle and have made there way back into the hive from which the fire burns or they have a speck of hope that they have found there way back planet top.
