Q U E S T I O N S

@Hazzahoo94 asks:
"Sequel?"

A: No, sorry! At this point in my life, I've almost completely moved on from reading and writing fanfiction so to start a sequel wouldn't be enjoyable in any way, sorry!

@rileythatsme99 asks:
"Do Flora and the Lucas fellow end up together?"

A: I purposely left Alien how I did for the sole purpose of allowing you guys, the readers, to interpret how their relationship should continue. I tried my best to portray Lucas as an almost carbon copy of Louis, so to write a chapter with Lucas and Flora, I felt, would be much like the rest of the story and especially considering how similar he is to Louis.

@rileythatsme99 asks:
"What's Flora's life like after Louis?"

A: Eventually, she's able to move on though its difficult at times. Like anyone who has lost someone, it still hurts but eventually it gets easier to accept.

@KatieMoon asks:
"Nothing about her and Lucas?"

A: I thought it would be good to leave the story where I did so you guys could envision what happens between them.

@Mohra_Ashraf asks:
"Are you going to write a new fanfic of Louis anytime soon?"

A: I won't be starting any new fanfictions but once I've completely wrapped up Alien, I'll be working on a story called Night Out which is currently up on my profile, if you'd like to check that out. It's a Louis fic and it's basically a short story where I'm practicing writing mature scenes so if that's your kind of thing, then definitely go check that out.

@louscupcake asks:
"Can you write a separate chapter with all the space jokes in one place?"

A: Already got you, fam. It's ready to be posted and will be up very soon!

@CecilieHassing asks:
"I know Jason moved on somewhat easier than Flora but how? Did he mourn too and what of his relationships to the Junites he got close with?"

A: Everyone mourns differently and he was never as close to the Junites as Flora was. He will have taken time to himself to mull everything over but he never had that really strong connection like Flora did with Louis and the crew. Also, he wasn't in love with a Junite - he found Bu attractive but because he's able to think more realistically, knew nothing would come of it.

@CecilieHassing asks:
"What happened on Junito? Who's going to take the throne after Traxlo?"

A: Most likely another family member (on Traxlo or Jozara's side) or someone else with royal blood.

@CecilieHassing asks:
"Did the crewmembers get any punishment for their involvement (both the ones on the good and bad side) and how is the good side holding up?"

A: The Councillors and crewmembers who were loyal to Klaru were questioned and punished - most likely sentenced to life in prison or to the death for their treachery to the throne. Those who were forced and threatened by Klaru but remained loyal to Louis, were questioned only because in the end, they stood by his side in front of the kingdom. Louis also asked his parents before he died to spare those who were blackmailed.

@CecilieHassing asks:
"Will Lucas ever know the true story of Louis? Will Louis just be the guy Flora used to know, or will the two of them work through Flora's pain together?"

A: In the epilogue, we get to read the conclusion from Flora's point of view - that's because Alien is Flora's first novel and she was recalling that part of her life when she had known Louis. Lucas will most likely get the chance to read her story but I'm not sure if Flora would ever confide in him that he was from another planet. Of course, if she ever needed to be comforted, Lucas would be there for her and would listen to her if she needed to get something off her chest or if she just wanted to talk about Louis. And Louis could never be just someone she once knew, he changed her life in so many ways so she'll always remember him and he'll always hold a special place in her heart.

@CecilieHassing asks:
"What was your inspiration behind Alien? How did such a wonderful idea pop into your head? How did you come up with the names, locations, objects and so on?

A: I don't actually know how the idea came to me. Often, I write out a chapter of something, see where it goes, build a rough plot around it and see if I like what I've got so far. I think that must have been the case for Alien. As for the names, I just took the first couple letters of people's names and added something that sounded relatively decent onto the end. Objects, I literally sat there and made sounds until something sounded alright. As for locations - with the planet names, I kept the first letter or first few letters and just messed around with sounds and letters until something stuck that I liked.

@CecilieHassing asks:
"Where is the Flora and Lucas relationship going? Are they as good together as Louis and Flora?

A: That is completely for the readers to decide! I'd like to think they end up together in the future, especially since they had that little connection the first time they met. Plus, how could Flora stay away when he's so similar to Louis? Of course Lucas could never compare to Louis - Louis opened Flora's eyes to new and wonderful things and those memories will always stay with her, just like the memory of Louis will.

@magicallymagcon asks:
"My question is, why did you decide on killing Louis off? What was the motivation for that?"

A: I thought of the idea very early on in the book and I did it for two reasons. 1) Happy endings are cliché and boring. Hardly anyone kills off a main character and instead of giving you guys a predictable ending, I wanted to try and do something different and unexpected. 2) During my time writing Alien I lost my dad to lung cancer. His passing consumed my life for such a long period time and I completely lost the motivation to write. When I finally picked myself up a bit and came back to the story, I incorporated some of those feelings I'd bottled up into the scene where Flora is laying beside Louis while he dies. It was like getting it all off my chest, when I wrote that scene and there's a line where Louis says, "I'll love you through eternity," to Flora and that was what my dad wrote in the last card he gave to my sister and I.
