Chapter Nineteen : Goodbye? Only To Be Back Again!
Jeon Jung Kook POV
I scratched the back of my head. I tossed my pencil away from my hand and tore off the page where I had just written some stupid lines on.
I stared out the window.
Kim Seokjin had told us to write an essay on Perfection; most likely on him. It's of 500 marks, and I still don't have a single idea on what to write.
I am doomed. I'm gonna fail English again. It's not like I have the brains of Namjoon who as always gets full marks in every subjects.
"Perfection? What the hell!?"
I stood up from my chair and closed all my books shut with no intentions of ever opening it again.
After that I walked over to my bed and laid down. Screw it. I'm not gonna do my assignment.
Kim Seok Jin POV
"The constellations seem a bit different tonight. Why is Orion a bit higher than usual?"
I put down my telescope and wrote down my observations on my notebook. It's been many weeks and each night the stars move someplace else instead of the place I calculate it to be at. Could this have a reason?
"Teacher, the door broke and it's not my fault!," Namjoon called out.
I frowned. I had agreed to help Namjoon on his assignment and ever since his arrival, he's been breaking all the things that I own.
I just hope Jungkook does his assignment well or else he can kiss his 500 marks away!
"Teacher, what are you doing?," Namjoon asked curiously as he stood close to me.
"Watching the stars...," I replied casually, trying hard to calm my beating heart.
"Oh. Let me see too - ," Namjoon said quickly as he held up my telescope.
"Wait!," I yelled.
But it was too late. The telescope broke.
"I'm so sorry...," Namjoon smiled sheepishly.
Grandma Jeon POV
"Your husband is in ward 102. Please, follow me...," I said with a small smile as I led the way.
Every now and then, I come across families who cry for their loved ones safety. I feel sad cause I know how they feel; I've been there because of Jungkook.
If it wasn't for Taehyung, Jungkook would've been -
Oh. Taehyung. I wonder what's he doing right now...
After showing the way to the saddened family, I headed back to the counter.
"Oh. Miss Jeon, look at that!," one of the nurse pointed out to the TV.
"What is it?," I asked casually as I flipped through the pages of a patient's health chart.
"Look!," the nurse pointed out again.
Finally, I looked up at the TV. It was a news channel where many UFO sightings were showing.
The reporter was saying, "Scientists have been observing the patterns of the stars for this past few weeks. They have come to the conclusion that a meteor-shower will take place tomorrow night."
"Meteor-shower!? I would love to go see it with my husband!," the nurse said happily.
I just nodded. A sudden meteor-shower in the month of July? That's really odd.
"Miss Jeon, are you gonna go watch it with your grandson?"
"Hmm. Sure."
Jeon Jung Kook POV
"Meteor-shower?"
"Yeah. I'm gonna go watch it tomorrow night with Yoongi and the others!," Jimin spoke excitedly over the phone.
"That's nice..."
"Wanna join us, Jungkook?"
"Pfft. I don't have time for that. I have to write this crazy assignment."
"Come on. The assignment isn't due tomorrow."
"Sorry but no can do. I want to get passing marks in English. I'm not satisfied with 4 out of 100."
Jimin laughed. "You better work hard!"
"You're one to say...," I muttered sarcastically.
Kim Seok Jin POV
I turned off the TV after watching the news channel. I brought the remote control to my mouth and nibbled on it's tip for a bit.
Meteor-shower, huh? So suddenly...How come I never knew about it?
I smiled at myself.
"Jungkook's gonna be really happy soon..."
Goodbye, huh? Well, what about it when Taehyung's just coming back again!
