(3P POV)
The group of five briskly walked through the noisy convention while cautiously looking around for anyone suspicious.

"Thank you." Sarah suddenly said to the two adults who turned towards her. "Both of you. Seth and I understand that you two don't have to go forward with us and yet you chose to anyway."

"You're welcome." Alex said with a comforting smile. "and don't worry, we're gonna get you home. Promise." She then turned towards Jack. "I'm gonna go grab my stuff. Let's meet upstairs, at the convention, at my booth, then we'll get your cab."

With that, she tried to walk away but was stopped by Jack.

"Alex listen," Placing his hand on her shoulder, gently pulling her to the side and said, "I can't let you come with us."

"What?" she questioned in disbelief.

"If half of what Harlem says is true then it's way too dangerous. They got in my cab, their my problem." He stated

"..Um..no. I have spent my entire life preparing for this moment and now when I have two actual aliens in need of my help, you want me to walk away? It's not gonna happen." She stepped closer to him with a victorious smirk. "Man up soldier, I'm in." Nothing was said for a few seconds as the two looked into each other's eyes, occasionally drifting to the other's lips before Alex cleaned her throat and stepped back. "Just lay low until we meet up."

"Sure. great." Jack said trying to brush off their little intimate exchange as Alex walked away. "Lay low, how hard could that be?"

As he watched her walk away, Sarah came and said, "she thinks you're very handsome."

"really?" her asked

"Smarter than you think you are." she stated.

"So she was thinking about me?" He asked

"As least as much as you were thinking about her." She stated, "Your interactions are similar to the first encounter of mates."

"Mates?" Jack turned is attention to her for an explanation.

"Mates." She shifted their attention to her brother and Skyler. "Everyone on our planet are able to sense our most compatible companion at a certain distance but with the universe being so infinite, this rarely occurs."

The couple in question was relishing the little few seconds of time they had in each other's arms. Skyler leaned her head back into his chest, slowly stroking his arm while Seth possessively hugged her from behind, placing a kiss on her head while occasionally glaring at anyone who looked her way. 

"Mates." Jack repeated slightly worried.

"Yes Mate. The equivalent of a husband and wife but I believe on your planet it would have required at ceremony?" Sarah said while trying to remember her studies of planet Earth.

"Hey Sarah have they ever..." Jack started

But was interrupted by someone in a three armed costume, yelling, "It's show time everybody space expo number 9! it's up stairs! Come on!"

"Should we go up stairs now?" Seth asked 

Jack, who was once again dazing off toward where Alex had disappeared, absentmindedly answered, "Yeah. Sure let's go up stairs."

As Seth, Skyler and Sarah followed the crowd, unknowingly leaving Jack behind still in his love sick daze. 

Only once he had turned around to ask a question, "Hey do you think she was thinking about..." did he realized that he was alone.

"Seth! Skyler!" He called out "Sarah!"

He turned around to look for them only to be forcibly grabbed by two large muscular men, one given held a gun to his back.

"I tried to warn you Jack." The man with the broken nose said, "Mr. Wolf doesn't take rejections so well."

At the mention of his former boss whole was a gang leader, struggled in their grip saying, "This is so not a good time."

Meanwhile, the three teens followed the crowd to watch a live reenactment of what was once a popular science fiction novel turned comic book.

"I never really understood galaxy fighters." Skyler stated

"Galaxy fighters?" Seth asked

She pointed at the big poster above the stage, advertising the comic book, "Galaxy Fighter is just a book for the young. I was once recommended to read it." She watched as the only female character was chased by the alien only to trip for the third time that she was on stage. "but it wasn't very logical."

"So this reenactment is not an important part of Earth's history." Sarah said

"No way. People of Earth have yet to confirm the existence of other species from other planet." Skyler started, leaning back in Seth chest to prevent herself from touching anything. "And if we did, it's hidden very well by our government which leaves the public to their own imagination of what aliens are like." She sees the siblings observing the actors with weird expressions and sighed in relief that they didn't look offended by earth's abnormal description of their species."

"Didn't I tell you three to stay by my side." Jack said when he finally found the three teens after beating up the two men that had grabbed him.

"We were just following orders about laying low." Skyler said

"Well let's just get going." he said for them to follow him.

Daring to step on to the stage for all to see, " Jack Bruno!" Sarah shouted to turn his attention to the stage; in full black body armor with a few dents in the chest and shoulder area. The crowd applauded what they thought was a part of the show.

Seeing the Siphon raising it's arm, Seth yelled, "Sarah!" while tightening his grip on his mate.

With a quick flick of her wrist, the stage lights came undone. It came swinging down, hitting the siphon in to the digital billboard.

The crowds' cheering got louder as the group of four quickly left through the back door. As quickly as they left, the government agents came in with guns, yelling for everyone to get down. The siphon too quickly got up and went after his targets.

Jack lead the teens through the hallway only to see more government agent, "The other way." he said, directing them toward the slot machines.

They tried to hurry through the maze of slot machines while avoiding the agents but luck was not on their side as they got blocked from either sides.

"Sarah, are you hearing what I'm thinking?" Jack asked her

With a nod, she raised her hands then brought them down. Seconds after, every slot machine became a winner causing everyone to get up out of their seat, cheering.

"Run!" Jack yelled at the teens, leading them through the crowd while the agents fought the people to get to them.

Alex who had finally got her stuff, came out of the elevator and was shocked to see the joyful chaos and Jack alone with the teens running towards her.

"I though I told you to lay low." She stated to Jack

"Who lays low in Vegas." Jack said, hurrying her to follow them.

Later, the cab hurried to drive out of the casino. Not long after the agent came out while the leader instructed both the cars and helicopter to follow it but when they corner the cab, it was Dr. Harlan in the drivers seat with his two assistance in the back seat because, as it turns out, to avoid watchful eyes, they had taken Dr. Harlan's RV. Heading to the Las Vegas sight known as Mystery manor.
