-Chapter 5-
I held my breath. Is that really blood?
The building looks very deserted and dangerous. I take a few steps back and breathe in. Now I could see that the building must be an old hospital. It is a very large building.
There are not many houses in this area. I don't think it really bothers anyone that there is such a big and old building here, or doesn't anyone want to see it? Does it have a secret?
I hear that soft voice again. He's waking up! I have to do something. ''We have to go in there'' says a voice inside me. We might even solve the mystery of this building... Who knows...
The door was rusted. I pulled my sleeve over my hand again, and reached for the door handle. It squeaked open loudly, but the door opened without any problems.
Inside it was dark. I still had my lighter with me. I looked outside on the floor for something I could light. Luckily I found a broken candle and put it straight. I lit it, and went outside to bring the stranger inside.
I took the wheelbarrow and tried to push it in, but the entrance was too narrow for the wheelbarrow. I pulled the stranger down and dragged him in by his arms.
I leaned him against the wall, took off my jacket, put it on him, and closed the door. Now that I could see the full room, I noticed the counter right in front of the entrance and the many doors.
It looked creepier from the inside than it did from the outside. I was scared. It was getting late. I glanced at my wristwatch, and then lowered my arm again.
My wristwatch!
The only gift from my parents had broken. The glass was shattered. I looked at my arm, startled, and noticed the many injuries.
There were still bruises on my upper arm from the blows my parents had given me. I looked at the stranger, and only now realized that he had an injury on his stomach.
His shirt was full of blood, and his right hand was on his injury. I rushed to him, and sank down on the floor next to him. The floor creaked under us. Funny, isn't this the first floor of the building?
A loud cough broke me out of my thoughts. I turned around to face him. He blinked his eyes, and looked at me. He asked me, ''Where are we? Who are you?''
He looked first at his wound, and then at my arm, and said, "What happened?''
