Sacrifice 5: Eyeless Jack
The plot is completely mine. Eyeless Jack does not belong to me however. Honestly I'm not sure if the story I had up before is by the original creator or if it was also a fanfic, so I decided to change it. I don't even know if he has an origin story. Picture is not by me.

"Wow, so this is a university. . .full of obnoxious young adults who are wasting their money on overpriced classes." Alice says as she walks past students who are rushing from one place to another. She starts to cross the street as a bus starts coming down really close.
"Look out!" She is tackled away to the empty side of the street and rolls on top of a male brunet. She smiles darkly as she listens to the heart in his chest that beats wildly from adrenaline. A crowd gathers asking lots of questions. Alice sits up on his stomach and looks down into the brown eyes of the young adult.
"Y-you saved me. . . Oh gosh, thank you so much!" Alice says as she tries to put fear and shock into her voice and body. The stunned young man looks up at her and sits up, also shaking from what happened.
"You should be careful! You could have gotten killed in front of a huge crowd!" He tells her and Alice looks down trying to look ashamed.
"I know, I was so lost in thought. I'm really sorry for risking your life too." Alice looks at him with tear filled eyes. He jumps startled at her tears and then gasps a bit as she hugs him. "Please let me make it up to you." She cries out sadly. The young man blushes as he realizes how much attention he's getting and the awkward position they're in. He gulps as she moves around on his lap.
"Okay, okay j-just please get off me. People are staring." He says embarrassed. Alice pulls back and looks at her position. She gets off him and wipes off her dress like as if they weren't in a compromising position. He slowly stands up and tries not to look at the crowd that's slowly dispersing.
"Alright, what will you have me do?" Alice questions with a smile. He stares at her confused about how quickly she recovered from nearly being run over.
"Or maybe she just hides her real feelings." The young man thinks to himself before he rubs the back of his neck.
"Well, first off. . . My name is Jack. What's your name?" Jack questions Alice who looks like she's trying not to laugh. She clears her throat and then looks up at him with a kind smile.
"My name is Alice and from here on out I will be your closest companion." She tells him very kindly but it ends up sending alarm bells in his brain. He's not sure why so he just dismisses it.
"Well, you don't have to go that far. Anyway, how well do you know human biology?" Jack questions Alice who giggles and puts a hand to her chest.
"Oh, Jack. . . I know human biology, anatomy, psychology, and blah blah." Alice tells him as she rocks back and forth on her heels. "Do you need help understanding the human body? What it can withstand? What it can become?" Alice reaches up and cups his cheek, a cold chill runs through him at the feeling of her cold hand in the hot spring day.
"Your hands are so cold. . ." Jack says without thinking as he looks into her reddish-brown eyes.
"Almost like a corpse, huh?! It's amazing what the human body can do. Let Alice teach you the wonders of the body." She tells him as she pulls her hand back and with the other grabs his phone and easily bypasses the security code and puts in a phone number for him. "Here! Time for me to go! Call me when you need me or I'll hunt you down myself!" She skips away and Jack tries to process what had just happened in that moment.
"What just happened?! What did she do to my phone?!" Jack questions himself confused as he looks at his unlocked screen that is on the contact editing screen. He looks at the innocent enough number and name, but once again the alarm bells start to ring as soon as he saves the number. He closes his hand over the phone as the screen goes black and he stares at it.
"I feel cold. Just what is going on right now?" He thinks to himself as he tucks his phone away and looks around to find that the crowds had all disappeared. He gasps as he realizes the next classes have already started so he is late. He adjusts his backpack and bolts to the building where his next class is at.

"Hey, Jack. . . having trouble with human biology again? Why don't you get a tutor?" Jack sighs and looks over at his friend. He looks at his assignment that is mostly blank and sighs.
"I can't afford the fee of a tutor right now. What's worse is this class doesn't even have a help session. So I'm basically screwed. Although. . ." Jack goes quiet and starts to become pensive as he remembers Alice. He bites his lower lip and stares at his phone, tempted to take the offer of the woman who made him feel uneasy. He just wants to be successful so he picks up the phone and texts it.
"Hey Alice, this is Jack. You said you know human biology and I really need help with my homework. I was wondering if we could meet up at the X dorm meeting area? It's cool if you can't."
Jack pushes the send button and starts to set his phone down, but ends up getting an immediate text response. He looks at the locked screen on his phone. The name Alice right on the screen which brings a chill through him.
"I'll be right there."
Jack sighs in relief. He grabs his things, explaining to his roommate that he has someone who can help him for free. He finishes getting his things and heads out of his room on the fifth floor towards the elevator. He stands in front of the metallic doors, he pushes the small button and the red light comes on signaling the arrival of the elevator shaft. It doesn't ding at all, but it opens anyway. The dead silence coming out of the elevator returns the cold he was feeling earlier. He nervously clutches the left strap of his backpack and enters the shaft.
He presses the ground floor button, the door closes and he feels the usual jolt of the shaft going down, but there is no sound at all from any kind of machinery within the elevator. Jack becomes even more nervous and really wishes that the elevator would quickly reach its destination. The ride feels like an eternity, but he feels again the jolt as it stops. The elevator doors open, making the sound of rusted iron doors that haven't been opened in ages. He covers his ears at the sound since it has never happened before. He's sure that the elevator is brand new and has never made those noises at any hour of the day.
"Huh? Where the hell am I?!" Jack thinks in a panic as he looks out towards a white hospital hallway. He looks to the elevator numbers to see what floor he ended up at, but the number lights are all shut off. There is no indicator of what floor he is in. He pushes the button to close the elevator doors, but it doesn't do anything. In fact it honks like as if he were pressing a clowns nose or a bicycle horn.
"Bring the patient to the operating room! Stat!" Jack jumps startled as a slightly high pitched male voice sounds from behind him. His back comes in contact with a soft surface and then straps go around him as he is placed face up, staring at blinding sterile lights and a white ceiling.
"Don't worry! The nurse will see you now! She'll make you better!" Jack looks up horrified at a man with white clown face paint and a surgical mask over his mouth. He stares into his mismatching black and white eye and shakes his head.
"N-no! I'm not sick! Y-you've got the wrong person! Let me go!" Jack yells out at the man who smiles with his eyes and keeps pushing his stretcher down the long hallway. He tries to move his arms and legs, but they're being held tight.
"That's what they all say, but our nurse always knows best. Humans don't know much about their bodies, which is why she has to help them." The man says with a nod of his head. The movement starts to slow. Jack lifts up his head to see they've reached double doors. He shakes his head as he realizes he's being taken to a surgery room. He keeps trying to protest with the man moving his stretcher, but he doesn't respond anymore.
"Oh deary dear, I expected you to be the silent type. What a shame. Why are people always scared when I have them brought here?" Alice leans over his face and he looks at her with terrified eyes. Alice simply smiles kindly at him. "It's okay, Alice will make it all better." She cheerfully claims with a small giggle escaping her.
"What is going on?! Is this some kind of joke, Alice?! Where am I?!" Jack demands as anger finds its way through the fear invading every cell of his body. He watches Alice stand back up and walks a few feet away. He hears movement on a metal surface and tries to see what she is up to.
"I feel that the best way to understand human biology is to experience it yourself. My favorite is mixing magic with science. Why? Because almost nobody believes in magic anymore so it no longer exists for the mortals. But without magic then science just doesn't work like how one intended. If only humans still believed in magic, maybe their science wouldn't take so long to find a cure, to find a new item, to detect something faster, yadayada blahblah." Alice explains to Jack as she turns back holding a spoon, cauterizer, and surgical scissors.
"What are you doing?! Answer me! Why do you have that?!" Jack keeps demanding answers. Alice rolls her eyes and with her head motions for something. Jack turns and watches someone jumping on one leg towards him. His eyes widen as he watches one of her sleeves flop around, realizing she doesn't have an arm. She lifts up the arm she does have and easily maneuvers hooks around his eyes to open the as wide as they can go. With her only arm she presses down his head making it impossible for him to move.
"I'm gonna start with your eyes. It's good to study them." Alice says happily as she holds up the spoon. Jack starts to scream as Alice brings the spoon down to his eye. The last thing he's aware of is her sadistic smile and then everything is just a painful blur.

"It's dark, it's so dark. Why can't I see? My eyes are open, right?" Jack thinks to himself as he sees only blackness. He tries to move, but his body feels heavy so he can't move. Jack flinches as he feels something drop near his ear. He realizes he actually heard a drop land near his ear from whatever is rolling down the sides of his face. It's a warm liquid that smells metallic.
Jack is startled by a burning sensation as something is spilled into where his eyes should be. Through his screams he manages to hear sadistic laughter. He gets flashes of what had happened for what is happening now. He bites his lower lip to stop his screaming, but he winces as he pierces his lip with a sharp tooth.
"Careful, Jack-a-boy you don't wan to do that. Your teeth are sharpened to a fine point now. Now hush up, we need to move on to the skin. The spectrum of skin is so limited. Lets vary the colors." Jack hears Alice through the roaring in his ears. He feels her touch on his arm and then he feels something poke through his skin. It starts with a burning sensation on and around the area. Jack panics, unable to tell what is going on with his body. The darkness won't disappear. The pain that once was obvious is starting to fade away.
"Oh! I almost forgot something! Silly me!" Jack only feels an intrusive sensation in his chest before he loses consciousness.
"Well, time to have a snack while we wait for him to wake up!" Alice says happily as she holds his heart in her hand. She sits down on a chair and spins around as she eats it. Her assistant nods his head and starts to clean up the surgery room.

"Tar Jack? Black Jack, hehe sounds like a pirate. Jack shark?" Alice talks aloud as she waits on the chair, not having had stopped spinning since she got on the chair.
"It' Eyeless Jack." Alice is tackled down and pinned down face down. "You know, I was actually learning about the functions of the kidneys. You said it's best to learn by experience, right? Then I probably need a kidney or two." Eyeless Jack tells Alice as he pulls up the scalpel he grabbed as he tackled Alice. He's not sure how he found that or her, but now he can see in the darkness. A lot more clearly than when he had eyes.
"I wanted to be a doctor, but you ruined it. You should just die." Alice starts to laugh as Eyeless Jack starts to cut through her dress, cutting into her lower back and reaching for her kidneys. Alice doesn't struggle she just waits for him to finish. Pretending to be in pain once she finishes laughing.
"Just kidding!" Alice says cheerfully as she knocks him off her and turns her head enough to look behind her and sighs. "You ruined my nurse outfit. It took awhile to find one in black that suited me." Eyeless Jack is confused as he listens to her speak so calmly. Like as if he hadn't ripped out her kidneys. Alice looks at his expression and smiles as she turns her head back to its normal position. "This body is a vessel. It does nothing to me if you harm it."
"Don't fuck with me!" Eyeless Jack goes at her again, but Alice spins away and twirls through the double doors of the surgical room. He tries to follow her, but ends up outside of the elevator at the ground floor of his dorm building. He sniffs around and with his hand he squeezes the two kidneys in his hands. He sighs in annoyance and without thinking he eats it.
"What the fuck?!" Eyeless Jack turns to the voice of two people that were coming to the elevator. He smiles a bloody grin, his razor sharp teeth covered in blood and chunks of kidney. He hears one of them start gagging while his friend supports him. Eyeless Jack taps his foot and the vibrations become visible in the darkness showing the outlines of where everything is. He lets out a short chuckle before attacking the two boys. They don't get to scream to warn others of the monster that had arrived. They die almost instantly with deep cuts on their throats.
When Eyeless Jack gets their kidneys he starts to head out, but his foot hits something. He listens to it slide away. When it makes contact with the door he sees the outline of a mask. He walks towards it, picking it up and feeling it until he finds the correct way to put it on.
"Theater students, huh? Not as dramatic as I would have thought them to be." Jack tells himself as he tucks the scalpel away into his black sweater.
"Jack? Jack, is tha- what the hell?!" Eyeless Jack hears a familiar voice. He smiles under the mask and looks back.
His roommate stares horrified at the two dead bodies and then looks at Jack. He can't see his face. He can't even see his eyes through the two holes on the blue mask he wears. All that seems to come out of them is what looks like black tar. He backs away slowly and runs for his life. Not looking back once.
"Wow, he is taking after me already! Starting a game of tag and hide and seek!" Alice says cheerfully as she watches Jack walk out of the dorm building, not bothering to go after his former friend. She swings her legs on the roof of the ten floor building and puts her binoculars aside. "Then please make sure to entertain me, Eyeless Jack!"
