Chapter 6
Searing pain burned at my wound.
"You fucking bitch." I managed to say. She laughed and slowly took out the knife in my stomach. She smiled and licked my blood off the blade.
"I will avenge my sisters' deaths." she said. I held my wound with one hand and summoned my scythe in the other.
"I'm gonna kill you!" I spat, but I was smiling. I finally had a challenge to go against. Now's not the time to hold back, now is it? I charged at her with top speed, appearing in front of her face in a flash. She laughed again and dodged me like it was nothing. She was about to stab me again, but I blocked her with my scythe, her blade scraping against it making a scratching noise. She grinned at me deviously.
"Hush little baby, don't you cry. I'm gonna slice you, so prepare to die." she sang slowly and coldly. She disappeared from my sight and I felt her presence behind me. I abruptly turned around, but it only caused my wound to open up more and I grit my teeth in pain.
She pushed me down and slipped the knife to my throat. She smiled at me. Only one frightening thought raced through my mind: I'm gonna die. The lights flickered off once again and I braced myself for the blade to slit my throat.
Nothing.
I felt the knife move away from my neck and I heard a clang as it dropped to the floor. There was some rustling noises in the darkness and the lights dimmed on, the girl was gone. I clenched my fists and scowled in misery as I stood up. My eyes widened and I stood still.
A boy with smooth black hair clutched the girl's throat, raising her in the air. She clawed at his hand trying to break free. The knife was laying near me on the floor. The boy's head turned and he looked at me. He stared at me blankly. His green eyes were captivating. The girl was thrashing everywhere, kicking her legs and flailing around. He didn't seem to notice and squeezed even harder. She started coughing and gasping for air. She scratched harder at his hand. Then it stopped, her arms fell to her side and her feet dangling lifelessly. He dropped her with a thud. His hand was bleeding, but he didn't look at it. The blood continued to drip onto the already bloodied floor.
Congratulations!, a banner popped out of no where. You have defeated the notorious murder triplets! You have now earned two axes and a knife along with a 1,050 coin bounty! The body disappeared along with the knife. The boy looked at me curiously.
"Who are you?" I asked quietly. He paused.
"Your worst nightmare." he said teasingly. He threw something at me and I caught it with my free hand. I looked and saw a red bottle. I looked back up, but saw no one. Eclipse was hiding under my shirt sleeve. She poked her head out and looked at me. Tears were wetting her fur. She sniffled.
"I thought we were going to die!" she cried. I grimaced as I slid down against the wall.
"What is this?" I said holding out the bottle to her. She sniffled again and took a closer look.
"It's a health potion. They're really expensive to get." she said.
"It's not poisonous, right?" I asked. She nodded. I popped off the lid and took a sip. It was sweet and cold against my dry tongue. I drank the rest and threw the bottle. It hit the wall and shattered. It disappeared and I waited. I felt tingly and I looked at my deep cut. It slowly began to close. I breathed a sigh of relief and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes and looked around. Eclipse was staring at me.
"Hi, E- I mean your highness." I said and smiled. She purred and rubbed against my cheek.
"Just call me Eclipse." she said. I stood up and looked at myself, checking to see if I was okay. I stared at the huge blood stain on my stomach. If you're wondering why I'm not turning into my other side at the moment, that's because I have to see fresh blood, not a stain.
"Umm," I began, but Eclipse shushed me.
"You won, okay?" she said,"That's all that really matters." I nodded slowly and began walking out of the building.
"So, is there a place that sells clothes anywhere?" I asked,"I kind of want to change."
"Hmm, there's a little shop not too far from here, it's not that famous, but I heard it's run by humans." she said. I nodded and headed toward the direction Eclipse told me to go.
I stopped in front of a run down cabin. A sign where the paint was peeling read Crescent. A little crescent moon was hanging on its side next to it.
"Uh, is this suppose to be it?" I asked pointing to it.
"When I said it wasn't that famous, I wasn't kidding." she meowed. I hesitated then went inside.
