Chapter 5

My heart was thundering and pounding inside me. The twins were giddily tearing the door down bit by bit, taking pleasure in the excitement.

"What are we going to do?" I whispered panicking.

Silence.

I looked around to see what was happening. The twins were frozen in the same position and Eclipse wasn't moving either, but her claws were still piercing my shoulder. A gust of wind blew around me. Let me take care of everything, a low whisper said inside my head. My head dropped down.

Time had started back again and the twins had almost finished tearing down the door. Eclipse was squeezing Alice so hard with her sharp, pointed claws, that blood was already staining her shirt. Alice had her head down and stayed silent. The twins giggled as they give the final blow to the door, the splintering wood scattering through the room. They stepped through and grinned a smile that reached from cheek to cheek, resembling the cheshire cat.

"It looks like we have won, doesn't it, sister dearest?"

"Indeed it has, beloved sister." They began to walk to the motionless Alice, axes ready to swing down at any second.

"It's a shame that she didn't put up much of a fight." they said disappointed.

"Good little children should just shut up and do as they're told." I said snarling at the two little twerps. They seemed taken aback, but then quickly exchanged short glances as if they were trying to send a message to each other. They probably were since twins have that kind of power. I got up from the ground and stretched.

"Isn't this a lovely surprise, sister dearest?"

"Yes, it quite is, I thought she had already given up." I looked at them and laugh.

"Me? Give up? You gotta be kidding, I don't give up. I'll hunt you down until I rip your pathetic looking heads off of your scrawny little broken necks." I said. They looked at each other again and shrugged. I watched as they pushed their heads and a snap was heard as their tilted heads went into a normal position.

They charged at me at the same time and swung their bloody axes at me. I called for my scythe and it appeared in a flash. I sliced the pink dress brat's hand off as she was about to have a swing at me. The axe fell with a clang to the dirty, linoleum, flooring. Blue dress stopped in mid swing. Pink dress cried out in pain and blood began to spill everywhere. Staining the dirty tiles with a scarlet red. I smiled as blood splattered onto my face. I licked my lips and tasted the fresh blood. For bots, they seemed to have real emotion, which is highly suspicious.

"H-How dare you hurt, Mary." Blue dress said, mentioning the pink girl's name for the first time and losing all of the confidence that she had before. She shivered. If one twin goes down, the other twin goes down with it. Her eyes lit with a burning flame and she stared at me in detestation. She gripped the handle of her ace and swung violently at me. I walked backwards dodging every strike, she was fighting recklessly making her attacks messy. I sighed and blocked her axe with my scythe. She struggled to push against me. I used my free hand and summoned a gun. I pointed it in front of her face. I smiled and her eyes widened realizing her mistake.

"Sweet dreams." I said. I pulled the trigger. She stood still for a second then slowly fell to the floor. The other girl screamed in agony. I turned to her. She was on the ground clutching her sliced hand, but she stared in disbelief at her murdered sister. Her eyes were faded and she slowly began to smile, it got bigger and bigger, until she started laughing hysterically. She looked at me and laughed her shrill, high-pitched, laughs.

"She's gonna come after you now!" she yelled. BANG! I pulled the trigger and she fell to the ground. She? Whoever 'she' is, I bet it won't be that bad.

"A-Alice?" I heard a small voice. I turned my head and saw a creature sitting on my shoulder. She was quivering and digging her claws into me. No wonder I felt a pain in my shoulder.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked. She looked at me in shock.

"I'm Eclipse, remember? You bought me from the shop keeper." she said. My weapons disappeared and I picked up the kitten off of my shoulder.

"I don't recall meeting you." I said putting her closer to my face.

"W-What?" she said. I grinned.

"Hmm, should I kill you?" I said. Her face quickly fell from confused to frightened.

"No! Please don't!" she said in desperation. There was a searing pain in my head and I dropped her as I grabbed my head. She yelped and landed on her feet. I rubbed my temples. A voice echoed in my head. Don't you dare kill her, it said menacingly. I frowned.

"Fine, fine, I won't kill her. Geez, just stop making my head ache." I said out loud. The pain stopped and I sighed. I picked Eclipse up and placed her back on my shoulder.

"What?" she asked. I rolled my eyes.

"The boss doesn't want me to kill you.... yet. So consider yourself lucky." I said sarcastically.

"The boss?" she asked tilting her head.

"Alice, you stupid cat." I said.

"But aren't you-" she began.

"Yes, I look like I am, but I'm just one of her hidden sides. I come out when I see Alice's blood." I explained. She nodded. I looked around.

"So aren't I suppose to get a congratulation sign right about now?" I asked. Eclipse paused and looked around, then arched her back.

"You aren't finished yet..." she said,"There's still one more out there." I rubbed my head tiredly.

"Triplets. Really?" I said. I walked out of the room and back into the hall. I saw the collection of bodies in the cases and I nodded in agreement,"Nice."

"You're sick." Eclipse said disgusted.

"I'll just ignore what you said." I laughed and began walking down the hall.

"You killed them..." a raspy whisper said. The lights in the hallway began to flicker wildly. I turned to look around and the lights went out. Everything pitch black. I gasped in surprise, the air pushed out of my lungs. The lights flickered back on and I looked down to see a knife stabbed into my stomach. The blood was spreading everywhere and the pain was unbearable. Eclipse screeched and I saw a girl in a light green dress in front me. Her eyes were blazing with anger, a diamond stamped on her forehead.
