I'm just gonna take a little bit of your time to wish you a very happy holiday!!! I have an update for you as a present ^w^ I hope you guys enjoy it and I hope you spend your holiday awesomely! Also, I would like to wish you guys a happy new year! I wish to meet new people and write many new stories in 2015. Thank you guys for all you have done and for all the support you give. The first to strike was Alec. Despite his looks and personality, he takes his fights seriously. The playfulness in his eyes quickly disappeared and they turned sharp and alert. Matt just stood casually, he looked as if he didn't see what was coming for him. 

Even though his build made him look like he would be slow, Alec was surprisingly fast. This just meant that he was very skilled at what he does. I felt my skin crawl in impatience and I watched the fight closely. I glanced at Hunter and he was also observing intently with his eyes glued to the fight.

Then the most surprising thing happened. As Alec was about to punch Matt, Matt vanished from his spot like a blur. I didn't blink, I didn't even feel the faintest bit of shock like I would have back then. I just watched. I was boiling with excitement as the crowd gasped in surprise.

Alec's eyes widened as Matt suddenly disappeared, but he quickly regained his composure and swiftly turned around raising his left leg to kick at the opponent behind him. Everything was going very fast and it was hard trying to keep up with it, but I somehow managed to keep my eyes on them. 

As Alec swung his leg to kick Matt, Matt bent backwards and Alec's leg swished by, the heel of his foot almost taking out Matt's nose. Matt stood back up straight and took a step back. He raised his leg and kicked Alec on his side as Alec was still recovering from his miss. I winced as Matt's foot connected to his side and a sickening thump was heard, but I still kept my eyes opened. Alec flew to the ground and gasped. He started coughing as he held his side. Matt came over and raised his leg again to stomp Alec in the head, but as soon as Matt's leg came down, Alec quickly rolled over. He jumped back up and retreated to a safer distance.

"Oh, what is this? Is Alec having a hard time defeating this opponent?" the announcer said. I heard more whispers among the crowd. Many were cheering for Alec, but I heard people switching over and started cheering for Matt. Alec grimaced and Matt waited for him to make a move. Alec held out his hand and a glow began to form. I heard the crowd's cheer grow louder.

"This is it! Alec is pulling out his famous buster sword!" the announcer said excitedly. I watched as the silhouette of a very large sword began to form in Alec's hand and finally the glowing ceased and a shiny, long sword was in his hand. It looked heavy, but Alec carried it like it was nothing. The kick Matt gave made a big impact on Alec, but he played it off like it was just a scratch. Alec gave a forced smile and swung his sword around.

"This will be a piece of cake." Alec said. Matt's eyes widened at the sight of the sword, but other than that he was completely unphased at all. He was strangely calm and seemed confident.

Alec charged towards Matt, but he was a bit slower than before most likely because of his injury. Alec swung his sword and Matt crossed his arms, making an X. There was a glow and two tonfa blades came into view. The grip and body of the tonfa blades were a dark grey color and sharp blades were sticking out from both the front and back. It was both convenient to attack and protect yourself with. Alec's blade hit the tonfa blades and Matt was pushed back, but he shifted his feet to stop from sliding. The two struggled with each other until Alec lifted his blade up again. Matt put his hands up in a fighting stance and Alec held out his sword. They stared at each other as if calculating what each other would do.

The crowd was quiet and tense. All of our eyes were on them.

There was a small cool breeze and that was when they chose to strike. They jumped at each other at the same time, the flames were ignited in their eyes. Blade versus blades.

The fight went on for a while, but none of us were tired or bored from watching. Even Eclipse was watching the fight with intent even though she would usually lose interest quickly. They both seemed like they were on the same level and the fight seemed endless, but the fight quickly changed pace as soon as Matt tripped Alec. Alec quickly made his move to get up, but Matt had already placed his foot on his chest and kicked him down. Matt pulled his hand back and the sharp, pointed blade glistened in the sun. I watched with anticipation as he quickly brought it down, aiming for Alec's eye.

"STOP!" Alec yelled out. Matt suddenly stopped, the blade only millimeters away from puncturing Alec's wide and scared eye,"I-I give up." The crowd was silent.

"I-It appears we have a winner." the announcer said to the crowd. The force field around the ring was let down and the injuries that I saw disappeared from their bodies. Alec got up and stepped down from the stage dejectedly. A banner appeared largely for everybody to see.

The crowd still was getting over with what just happened, but then it broke out into a ground rumbling cheer. The announcer went over to Matt and raised his arm up and the crowd cheered even more. Matt looked around, trying to avoid the attention that he was receiving, but his eyes met up with mine.

We stared at each other for a bit, but he looked away. As soon as the announcer let go of his hand, he quickly got off stage and disappeared into the crowd. I turned to Hunter and he turned to me.

"Well..." Eclipse said

"That was quite a fight." Hunter said. He looked a little pumped up from witnessing it and I smiled at him.

"Have you been in these kinds of contests before?" I asked him. He thought for a bit and nodded.

"I've been in some, but I stopped after a while." he said,"I was broke at that time, so I just needed the award money."

"So that's how you got the health potions?" I asked. He nodded again.

"Yep." he said. We began walking again, sticking close to each other so we wouldn't get separated. We walked through the crowd and Hunter pointed to a small cafe. We entered and Hunter ordered two lattes for us. I tried to persuade him that I could pay for my share, but he insisted that he would and I soon gave in. It is free food after all. We sat outside and Eclipse climbed onto the table to roam around.

"So," Eclipse said walking towards Hunter,"You want Alice to partner with you to defeat the queen?" Hunter nodded.

"Any particular reason?" I asked. He looked at the clear blue sky to avoid my gaze.

"I just want to end this." he said,"I want things to be how they should be, you know?" I nodded still trying to understand.

"How did you find Alice?" Eclipse asked. I could tell she was on edge with Hunter and I wouldn't blame her.

"I'll tell when I feel comfortable about it." he said scratching the back of his head sheepishly.

"Are you secretly a stalker?" I asked playfully. His eyes widened and he quickly shook his head.

"I'm not!" he objected. I laughed. A waitress came over to our table and set two lattes down. I thanked her and she nodded with a smile. I cupped my hands around the porcelain teacups and the warmness spread to my fingers. I looked down at the latte and a beautifully designed rose was drawn into the foam on the drink. I glance over to Hunter's latte and it was a crescent moon with stars.

"This is amazing." I said. He grinned and nodded.

"It tastes even better." he said. We both took a sip and the taste was what I thought it would be, delicious, and more. The warmness soothed any unnecessary aches in my body and it was mixed in with a hint of sweetness. I set the cup back down on the table and I heard Hunter stifle a small laugh.

"You got something over here." he said motioning over to his upper lip. I frowned and took a napkin. I wiped the foam off of my lip and stuck my tongue out.

"Speak for yourself. You've got a mustache going on too." I said to him and pointed at the foam mustache over his lip. He wiped it off and smiled. We laughed and I could feel us growing closer but the second, but a feeling of uneasiness was still weighted in the depths of my heart.
