Chapter 10
As I exited the bathroom, I felt nausea run over me.
"I don't feel too well." I whispered to myself as I walked down the halls. The halls were wavering and dizziness messed with my whole surroundings. I leaned against a wall and put a hand to my aching head.
"The worlds are merging now, Alice. You should be more careful." a familiar voice called out. I felt strong arms catch me as soon as I fainted.

I quickly sat up in a bed. I looked around and sighed in relief. I had a very strange dream. I was in 'Wonderland' and I met a strange boy with dark hair.
"I'm your worst nightmare." he said his voice echoing through my dream. I felt like I met him somewhere before. I began falling and the worlds began to stir into one. People were being recklessly slaughtered and everything was in total chaos.
It's the beginning of the apocalypse.
I shook the thoughts out my head. I tried to forget what I dreamt and I shivered a little.
"Oh! You're awake!" I hear the school nurse say. She came to me and felt my forehead.
"What.... am I doing here?" I asked looking around. She smiled kindly.
"School's still going on, I tried to call your parents to come and get you, but they didn't answer, you can just stick around here until you feel better." she said,"I was on break and when I came back I found you sleeping on the bed. You had a slight fever, but I see that you're feeling better now." I nodded.
"Um, did you happen to know who brought me here?" I asked. She shook her head.
"Sorry, I didn't see anyone, however I found this ring on the ground." she said handing me a ring. It was plain and silver, yet it gave off an illuminating radiance. It had foreign words engraved in the inside of it, but I couldn't make out what they might mean.
"Do you mind if I can keep this?" I asked. She looked at me hesitantly and nodded.
"Sure, but if someone reports a missing ring then you better give it back." she said. I nodded slowly examining the ring more. I slipped it on my right hand, but it was loose and could easily fall off. I took my pendant from underneath my shirt and unhooked it. I took it off and slipped the ring on and put the pendant back on. That way, I wouldn't lose it. Something tells me that it would be important later on. I thanked the nurse and began making my way to my next class.
I wasn't passed out for long cause I noticed that I was just in time for lunch. I grabbed the brown paper bag full of my lunch out of my locker and I headed to the lunch room. I entered the 'division of the categories' and looked around for where to sit. There's the popular, the jocks, the nerds, and then there's me.
To be honest, lunch is my most devastated hour. Lunch is where I have to find an empty seat where I won't be noticed and made fun by others for the whole school year. So basically there's the heavenly spot and then there's hell. To make matters even worse, I don't fit in any category. Because of my 'oh so fabulous' background, no one wants to have anything to do with me. Isn't that great?
I found a empty seat near the corner of the room and when I sat down, immediately all of the students sitting around me scooted farther away at the exact same time. I'm in complete isolation, but hey, at least I don't have to put up with any harassment from now on. It's lonely, I do have to admit, but you'll learn how to deal with it sooner or later. Don't get me started on picking partners for assignments.
I ate my lunch quietly and peacefully like I always do then I saw someone's tray of lunch placed down in front of me. I looked up and saw a girl with pretty blonde hair. She smiled at me and sits down. I could hear many whispers talking behind me, the room suddenly becoming quieter than usual.
"Hi!" she said gleefully,"I'm Violet. You look awfully lonely, so I came over." I stared at her and she smiled at me the whole time. I narrowed my eyes. It's like a happy ray of sunshine and a blood thirsty vampire. Not a good mix.
"Okay... who paid you?" I asked. She laughed.
"You're funny." she said,"Why would I want to get paid when I can make many friends, like you." I stared at her in half shock, half disgust. Is this girl right in the head? I mean, she looks really nice, but she seemed like she came from a planet with unicorns and rainbows. She's so.... cheerful that it's highly suspicious. People can't be too nice (unless you know that they're like that).
"Do you know who I am?" I asked. She nodded.
"You're Alice Wisteria a.k.a. Hysteria." she said eating her lunch. Hysteria was a nick name people had given me.
"So you know what I have done?" I asked again. She stayed silent for a while playing with her food.
"You've hurt people." Violet said nonchalantly. She looked up into my eyes,"But I know that you didn't mean to, right?"
"What makes you think that?" I asked.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's the way you act." she answered,"It's like you're enduring everything." I didn't know what to say next so I just got up. "Where are you going?"
"Wander around the school until the bell rings." I answered and left her to finish her lunch.
After the bell rung, I was bothered in all of my classes that I had with Violet. I've never noticed her before... it's like she appeared out of no where.
"I volunteer to be Alice's partner for the project!"
"Um, can we change seats so that I can sit next to Alice?" Etc. It felt kind of nice to actually have a friend, but everything was still too suspicious. Why now of all days?
The long school day was over and I rushed out through the doors. The weather was cool and breezy. I took my time walking home breathing in the fresh outdoor air. Soon, I arrived at the front steps, I hesitated before going in. It was quiet and I wanted it to stay that way. I tip toed through the hallway and safely got to my room without any interruptions. I sighed and fell down onto bed faced down onto my pillow.
"Rough day?" I turned my head to the side and see a very faded me in front of the mirror. She smiled at me. She flickered, but she looked solid, sort of, she's more like a hologram.
"When could you materialize?" I asked sitting up. Mirror shrugged.
"Since now." she answered,"Your world doesn't seem to like me very much, it trying to send me back." I stood up in front of Mirror. I tried to touch Mirror, but my hand went through. Mirror shivered.
"That's weird." she said. She flickered again and she began to look like bad reception on a TV. The mirror began to suck her back and she appeared back in the mirror. She pouted.
"It was fun while it lasted." I told her. She grinned.
"Whatever." she said,"But it's officially confirmed." I tilted my head, puzzled.
"What is?" I asked. She smiled widely.
"The world's are merging." she answered.
