Chapter Fourteen: His Human Friends

HI GUYS!

First off, wow! 3k VIEWS?! Thank you all so much!!!!!!!

Second, apologies from being away for so long! Work has been tiring, plus my home life has been a tiny bit stressful (house hunting ain't easy when the bank takes forever to tell you how much you got) AND college isn't helping the building anxiety, like bitch I don't got 2,000 dollars to spend on top of other expenses like notepads, binders, and books.

Seriously though, I smoked CBD for the first time (which is not marijuana and is safer ((to my job since it doesn't show on a drug test)) to consume) My cramps (thank you womanhood), anxiety and stress have been a deadly concoction from Hell.

Thank you for reading that small rant, NOW ON WITH THE FANFIC!

TRIGGERS- DEATH

(also, I have never seen Hamilton. DON'T KILL ME! But the fandom is huge and oddly enough combined very well with Hetalia. There are some HISTORICAL RIVALRIES mentioned but know that anything tying to 'Hamilton' is a mere coincidence)

Nobody hesitated, Germany quickly picked up the book from the table. He cleared his throat, readying himself. Everybody's heart was pounding at this rate, they were all afraid of what the end was holding. Their foreheads began to sweat, and all of the nations were breathing quickly. Germany finally spoke.

"Are ve all ready?" Germany asked, taking in the sight before him. Everybody was quaking, even Norway and Belarus. Italy held Germany's hand, making the normally stoic and stern nation look at the trembling brunette.

"What if it's too late? What then, ve?" Italy's question only prompted panic, making the room's air grow thick. Germany remained stone faced, but you could tell he was afraid to know the answer.

"We won't be. Now read, Germany" Russia said coldly, giving a glare to the little Italian. Italy clung to Germany's arm in defense, scared for his life now. Russia wasn't smiling at him, he wasn't even stone faced. His mouth scowled and his eyes pierced Italy's soul. How dare he ask such a question! "You heard me, da? Read" Germany gulped, shivering under Russia's protective spousal gaze.

"Fourteen. His Human Friends. Alfred has been known to befriend just about everybody he meets. He just has that way about him. He's friendly, kind, funny, compassionate, and proudly loud. He never judges someone for their decisions or past, and always tries to see the good in everyone. He has that bright energy around him, an aura of warmth and comfort. He also is a big hugger and is consistently being optimistic about things. So is it any wonder that throughout his life he's made a plethora of friends? Some of them were not even from his country! Alfred has been friends with some very strange people, and these stories will be consisting of the humans that had a great impact on him, or vice versa.

First, why don't we start with a group most of you know? George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, and Thomas Jefferson. These three men were the foundations to America's future, but America saw them as his understanding father and crazy uncles. There were multiple nights when George and Alfred would stay up staring at the stars while the revolution was in full swing. George was a very intelligent man and knew right from meeting Alfred that he wasn't an ordinary boy. Taking him under his guiding wings, George enrolled Alfred in college and hired tutors to teach him piano, flute, harp, and violin. George and his wife took care of America while they were alive, and acted like the parents he severely lacked as a colony.

Now, where do we begin with Hamilton and Jefferson? Well, the two constantly bickered with each other. Both of them thought they were in the right, knowing what was best for America. The nights the three men and Alfred stayed up were oftentimes the funniest for them. George and Alfred would watch Hamilton and Jefferson spat insult and comeback for hours, it gave them a good laugh. One night not even a few months after the ending of the revolution, Jefferson and Hamilton were arguing about political parties.

Jefferson said, 'you should make your symbol a donkey since you're such an ass' to which Hamilton replied, 'if that was the case, yours should be an elephant!'

Of course, the animal symbols weren't implicated to the political parties right away, Alfred did it in the future and switched the animals to the opposing parties just to tick the spirits of Jefferson and Hamilton off. He was always very close to them and was extremely sad when they all eventually passed away. To make sure they know he remembers them on their birthdays he leaves a cupcake with a candle. He sings happy birthday to their gravestone and then tells them to make a wish. A mysterious gust of wind always blows the candle out right after that.

Another man he was very close to was Martin Luther King. Alfred always went to his rallies and was in the very front of the crowd when he did his famous 'I Have a Dream' speech. Martin also had a keen sixth sense and questioned Alfred about the feeling in his gut. Alfred did tell Martin the truth, to which the man smiled and simply said, 'well, then I guess I technically have won the heart of America' When he was shot, he made sure Martin's family was well taken care of. He arrived at the funeral with a large bundle of lilies, and him and Corretta (Martin's wife) ended up singing to his grave once he was buried.

Shifting from Civil Rights Activist to Homosexual Diva, Alfred was actually great friends with Freddie Mercury. He enjoyed the pulsing free spirit Freddie possessed and went to EVERY concert he could. Freddie, having realized the blonde's constant presence, decided after one show to invite him backstage. Freddie was surprised to find that the attractive young blonde was American, and questioned him further. Freddie then asked if he was like Arthur (who he had met a month prior) to which Alfred laughed and nodded. Freddie grew very fond of Alfred, and the two did keep great contact. Freddie even called Alfred after leaving his abusive leech of a boyfriend, saying he was at wit's end. Alfred then offered Freddie a good chunk of advice, saying that 'it's never too late to start over' thus, Queen reunited. Alfred went to Live AID and supported Freddie until he met his end. On Freddie's birthday, he has to sing Bohemian Rhapsody. No matter where he is, he'll find a place to sing it. He once performed it under the Eiffel Tower, as a World Meeting was taking place.

Not all of Alfred's friendships were easy to deal with, however. These next few were ones that Alfred felt so close with that when they died, Alfred was distraught. The first of the bunch: Amelia Earhart.

Alfred made the mistake of falling in love with a human. It is a mistake every nation has made. But Amelia is a different story. Prior to meeting Amelia, Alfred was a very cocky pilot. It was only after meeting Amelia did Alfred become a lot more humble of his talents. He liked scaring girls by nose-diving towards them, then pulling up at the safest possible second. But when Alfred did it to Amelia, the girl didn't even flinch. When confronting him on the tarmac, Alfred said he was just having harmless fun. That's when Amelia challenged him to a race, the first one to silo and back was to fill the other's tank. Another part of the deal was Alfred having to stop doing that awful trick and the loser treating the winner to dinner. Alfred's accepted the challenge and lost.

Dinner went amazingly, and Alfred ended up learning a few tricks from Amelia. During the depression, Amelia and he would perform air shows at charity events. The two became inseparable, and she soon learned of Alfred's 'status' as a nation. She didn't care but was scared that when she passed away what he would do. She never got to ask that question, as she was to go out on her famous solo journey around the globe. Alfred and her kissed each other goodbye on the tarmac, and Amelia gave him her favorite aviator jacket. It was very large on her, but it fit Alfred perfectly. Alfred planned on proposing to her when she got back, but she never returned. Forever lost to the world, Alfred always wears her aviator jacket in her honor. His famous bomber jacket isn't truly his, but his secret lost lover's.

Another loss that caused Alfred pain was Walt Disney. Disney and him had met at Kansas City Art Institute, where both of them were studying at the time. Alfred's art style preference was towards nature, while Disney's preference was towards cartoons. The two instantly hit it off, and Alfred grew very fond of Walt's electric personality. Once the two parted ways, they didn't see each other until Walt's first solo production 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' debuted. Walt saw Alfred and ran up to him. Alfred wasn't prepared for the bear hug, thus the two tumbled to the floor. Walt was astonished that Alfred hadn't aged a day, thus giving him ideas. Alfred and him worked on many movies together, and for Alfred's birthday he announced that he had the idea for 'Peter Pan' He then went to announce that the boy who never aged was based on someone special to him, leaving Alfred a blushing mess. Alfred was thrilled that Disney would make an entire movie basically about him.

The two grew close enough that Alfred eventually revealed why he didn't age. Disney chuckled, saying it was like a dream and joked that it sounded like a good base for a movie. Alfred voice acted for Disney, and also helped draw and animate backgrounds. The two even finished each other's sentences at one point. All Disney employees around the globe knew about Alfred because Disney made it a point that once he was gone that Alfred was to oversee anything. Alfred knew what Disney liked, and to this day makes sure to keep it family-friendly and open-minded. When Disney died, Alfred ended up drawing a photo of Mickey Mouse and Disney, leaving it at the grave. He makes a point to watch Disney movies on the couch on Walt's birthday every year.

Not too far off from Disney was another creative mastermind, Stan Lee. The two of them met at a small cafe, where Alfred had made a habit of visiting often. He noticed that one guy was always there too, and thus began conversing. Stan at the time was about fifteen, so the two boys were close in age. Alfred went on about how much he enjoyed the farfetched stories Stan would weave about humans with extraordinary powers. That is what inspired Stan to start writing and designing his comic books. America was oftentimes his template for heroes physique, Alfred would then design costumes.

Stan Lee has been the most recent death for America to deal with. When he passed away, Alfred literally crumbled to the ground in tears. On his birthday, Alfred read all of his comic books and even replayed videos that the two took together when Stan was filming his legendary cameos. Stan Lee created the thing America loved and aspired to be, he created heroes. Stan Lee and Alfred had a very brotherly bond, and Stan often times looked out for Alfred. Alfred always was the first to read Stan's comics, since only approval from a real hero would do. Stan loved Alfred so much he was soon inspired, Alfred's charisma and patriotism gave him an idea. Thus he created the hero Captain America and based his design very heavily on Alfred.

But by far the worst human death America has ever dealt with was someone not very known, a boy named Davie. When America was still a colony and was left alone by England, America befriended a settler. At the time Alfred was physically four, and the boy was maybe eight to ten. Now with America still being a young colony, he was exceedingly trusting of the boy. Davie showed Alfred photos of a certain flower, a blue daisy, saying he really wanted one. Alfred then promised to Davie to find one and bring it back to him. Time soon passes and he returns to Davie, finding him to be a young adult. Alfred is confused by this, as he barely aged from his toddler body. The aging continues for Davie, to the point he became unrecognizable. Eventually, England visits and America tells him of his problems. England came the next visit brings America the flowers, which made young Alfred ecstatic!

He runs to Davie's village, simply to find a boy who looks like Davie. This was Davie's grandson, and Davie, unfortunately, succumbed to old age and human mortality. Davie had died, and America couldn't physically comprehend why. Why was he still alive and young? Why wasn't he withered and old? Alfred didn't understand who he was, why he was different, and on top of that, he was still a child! This was the most influential death, as it led America to be curious and spirited. Curious because he hated the feeling of cluelessness, and spirited because he realized he was gifted with immortality and intended to use it"

The crowd of nations was shocked. Alfred had experienced the same loss and pain they had! Germany flipped the page, surprised by the fact it was the last page.

"Zat's it! Ze last page has zome veird vriting!" Germany yelled shocked. England stood up and ran over, snatching it and looking at the page. He waved Norway to him, who gazed at the spell. They both nodded to each other.

"This is how we get to Alfred's core! Are we ready?!" England asked, the nations nodding.

"We must all hold hands, and England and I will say the spell," Norway explained. Everyone connected hands instantly, except Russia. He was trembling in fear and despair.

"Big brother, we must see what he is hiding. He is in danger" Belarus reminded calmly. Russia looked up and gulped. Swallowing his fears, he grasped Belarus and Lithuania's hands. He nodded to Arthur, who nodded back. The group all bowed their heads.

This was it, the time was now...

Time to finally uncover Alfred's true light...

Time for the final unveiling...

Of Alfred's core...
