Prologue

With Damian, Jessica, and Lorry we were sitting in front of a chapel. Jessica and Damian were so convinced that if we pray there will not be war anymore. How funny they sounded. So crucial was our statement, we were young, and I think that we should go to war if we want to live.

'With love and peace there shall be no war,' said father with praying hands.

'Amen.' Everybody around me said. I was quiet. I did not believe in a goddess or a god. That they were praying to. I believe there is only truth, mates, and action. These three things changed everything around me.

Lorry as the only guy who is convinced that we are living in a patriarchal system, and gay, have never prayed. That's why both of us were mostly just sitting in chapel and having eye contact with each other. We have always laughed in our minds, but we never did that in the chapel, it is rude, and everybody should believe what they want to believe. He was always the shy or quiet one, but when we were together, he was so loud and super funny. When we get out of chapel my mom and dad were staying near to convoy, where was my brother and his best friend Dave.

'Hi there sweety, how was...'

'It was great mom,' my mom usually asked the same question when I got out. She wanted to convince me that this is right, and I should believe in the goddess. We had last summer an argument about that, and my mom let her feelings down if dad is not there at the time, I will probably be in boarding school now. On the other hand, my brother was the perfect sun to their family, he was and still is believing in goddess and he got the prestige scholarship into academia. It was into the army. My mom and dad were proud of their older son, never of their younger daughter.

'Please, sis be nice to our parents, they want the best for you,' said my brother Finn further from our parents near to the convoy. I just chuckle but hug him and let him go.

'Be careful,' he smiled, and he is gone.

Mom and Dad were holding their hands and my father, as the only person who let me believe in things I wanted to believe, hold my hand. Our eyes were the same. Brownish with a little spark of green, my hair was long, almost to my spine same brownish color as my eyes. I wasn't as tall as my father, but I was tall enough, so no guys want to fight me. Mom was a super short and quiet type of person; gossips always circle her. That's why she knows so much about everybody especially me.

As we were sitting in a car, I looked around us. We were the nearest colony of wolves to the humans. That's why most of us can't shapeshift. I was probably the only one of our packs, well beside our alfa. He was young probably twenty-five, I saw him twice, but he was just passing by with other pack members.

This year there is a huge party in the Charity pack. There will be many of our kind and so much more.

But especially I have the ticket to this party.
