He'd chosen the fair for the location of their first date for a couple of reasons. At the top was that it was diverse. She wouldn't have to be the only one of her race in the crowd.

Though he'd never experienced a situation like that, he imaged it wasn't pleasant. And he couldn't have that tonight.

She had to enjoy the date because that would open the door way to another date. That date would lead to her catching feelings for him. Those feelings would be the foundation for the rest of their lives.

A grin appeared on his face when he saw her approaching. Today she wore a cute, causal mini dress. It's red color compliment her skin nicely. As always, her hair defied gravity in its afro form.

"You look beautiful." He whispered, opening the door for her.

"Thank you."

He closed the door for her and ran around to his side before getting in.
