I was hiding in an orchard when I heard a sound. "Shin, shh!" I whispered. "Umm, Alex?" I recognized Ayato. "Hi. Keep it down. If they find yu, you'll be dead!" he rolled his eyes. "Relax, we have a plan, and you just need to come with us." I frowned. "Ayato, if I do, they'll just keep coming back. I think we need a plan, so just let me stall here while you think of one. Did you know that by playing this game, I'm actually getting a feel for the land? I'm mapping my surroundings. Ayato, GO.MAKE.A.PLAN." I snapped. He sighed as he teleported away. "ALEX! WE FREAKING GIVE UP!" Shin called angrily. I stood up and bounded over to them. "Well, you guys are about as good at this as everybody else who's tried..." They scowled. "AGAIN! I WILL BE THE BEST!" Shin cried. He turned around to count, and I ran off towards the hedges. I had no idea Carla was practically stalking me, or at least that's what he thought.

I went into one part of the hedges and quietly made my way along them. I tip-toed out of them and into the flower bushes. I waited there, watching Carla freak out when he realized I had moved. "ALEX!? WHERE ARE YOU!? I guess we give up again...." Carla muttered. Shin shook his head. "No, we WILL find her!" I bit my lip to keep from laughing. "Alleeexxxx!" Shin called eagerly. "If you come out, we'll give you ice cream...." I nearly died. Was he trying to bribe me? It wasn't working....After about twenty more minutes of searching, I was getting tired. I literally just curled up and went to sleep, surrounded by the sweet aroma of flowers....

Third Person POV:

Shin had just had enough. "FINE! I GIVE UP!" He cried. No response. "ALEX!?" Once again, nothing. "Carla, we need to spread out and find her." His brother nodded as they began searching for the girl. If I was Alex, where would I hide? Carla thought. FLOWERS! It suddenly hit him. They hadn't checked in the flowers yet. He ran over there and sure enough, there she was, asleep on the ground. He chuckled as he picked her up. She wasn't kidding when she said she falls asleep... "So where was she?" Shin asked jogging up to his brother. "In the flowers." Shin cursed himself. "That's the one place we didn't look!" Carla nodded. "Yes, it is. It's like she just knows where to hide...it's very strange, but also admirable in a way." He grinned at his brother. Shin rolled his eyes. "Let's just all sleep on the couch for now." Carla nodded. "That doesn't sound like to bad of an idea..."

Alex's POV:

I sat up with a yawn, half expecting to still be in the flowers. I noticed two familiar figures on either side of me. Why is it that vampires like me so much? I mean I'm not anything special, I'm just a human. So what's the big idea? This thought suddenly saddened me. I was inferior compared to the guys. I was just a mere human, they were strong, powerful, intelligent vampires! I sighed. "What's the matter?" Carla asked. I shrugged. "It's nothing don't worry about it." He didn't seem very pleased with the answer. "Something is obviously troubling you, what is it?" I shook my head. "I told you, it's nothing...." He sighed as he picked her up. "I do not appreciate being lied to. Spend a few hours in here, and we'll see if you want to talk later." He snapped throwing me into a cell. I sat there, allowing myself to cry for the first time in a while. At this point I didn't care if they didn't have a plan, this was not one of my best ideas...

"Alex." I heard somebody whisper. I looked up to see Ayato staring at me with a worried expression. "Can I PLEASE take you back now?" I nodded. "These people are mean, and I get this off feeling from them." He nodded and grabbed my hand. When I opened my eyes, we were back in the living room. "ALEX!" The nine other vampires cheered hugging me. I just kind of stared at the floor. "A-Alex?" Laito asked me. The room was silent, except for my slight sobs. I felt a large mass of people hug me. "What's wrong? You seem sad." Kanato sighed. I wiped my eyes. "It's nothing, really, I'm fine." The ten stared at me, unhappy expressions plastered on their faces. "Alex, THIS is not nothing. Now PLEASE share with us your worries." I shook my head. "It's something stupid anyway, it'll go away soon." Reiji stepped forward and bent down to my level. "Alex, you have the same look on your face as the day we first met you. What's wrong? That face usually means your worried about something or really sad." I sighed. "Well..." They leaned in. "I guess it just kind of hit me that I'm inferior to you guys. Every one of you is a strong, powerful, intelligent vampire, and here I am, a stupid, weak, useless human." They frowned. "Alex, you are by NO MEANS useless. You bring a smile everywhere you go, and although you may not think it, you're quite strong." Reiji smiled. "Yeah, I don't know anybody who can just sit there and accept the bite of a vampire without crying, running, or screaming." Laito added. "And your very smart. You tricked those vampires into playing a game with you so you could map out your surroundings. Alex, you may not be a vampire, but you're special, too." Ayato smiled as he hugged me. I was literally sobbing by this point. This tie though, they were tears of overwhelming joy. They actually viewed me as an equal...

I woke up, not remembering even falling asleep... "Feel better now?" Kanato asked me. I nodded. "Yeah. Thanks for all that. I must seem like such a baby for crying over nothing..." He shook his head. "You're perfectly fine. It's understandable that you would feel like that, I mean we are pretty cool." He joked. I giggled and hugged him."Thanks Kanato, I needed that. "Alex..." Azusa whispered hugging me. "Oh! Hey Azusa." I smiled. The other eight vampires teleported in. "Feeling better now?" Laito asked. I nodded. "Kanato just asked me that same question...." He laughed. "Did it ever occur to you we care?" He retorted. I nodded. "Actually, whenever Reiji told you I was in danger and you all immediately dropped what you were doing to help, THAT'S what really convinced me. Shu doesn't stop napping for anybody..." I joked poking him in the arm. he grinned and wrapped his arm around me. "You could always just join me...." i rolled my eyes. "Keep dreaming." He grinned. "I will..." I sighed as we all laughed. "ALEX!" A voice boomed through the house. "Oh crap...it's Carla and Shin..." I sighed. The ten vampires protectively formed a circle around me. I was really lucky to have them...but what if they got hurt, I could never forgive myself if that happened...
