So I'm sure you all have heard of the Forbes family from Mystic Falls. Well Alexandra Forbes was the only daughter of William and Clara Forbes. Her father was the sheriff of a town call Mystic Falls. She was their family's pride and joy. She was born in October 1840. In June 1863, she started to court Damon Salvatore, after he deserted the army. Even though her father didn't approve of him.

She loved Damon with all her heart and believed he loved her too. So on their year anniversary she gave him her virginity, after he proposed. Thinking they'd spend the rest of their lives together and have a family of their own. Except that all change early September 1864 when Katherine Pierce arrived in Mystic Falls.

Damon started to ignore Alexandra and even called off their engagement. He broke her heart. Neither knowing she carried his child. When she found out, she wanted to tell him straight away. But he had started a sexual relationship with Katherine, along with Stefan. Not that either brother knew about the other.

That hurt Alexandra even more. She wished she could of asked her mother for advice. But she died a few years ago. It was an animal attack. But Katherine knew of Alexandra's pregnancy. She enjoyed seeing the blonde suffer when she was with Damon.

Pearl felt sorry for the poor girl and took her under her wing. Like she had Harper a year before. Knowing that Katherine may kill Alexandra or have someone else do it. Pearl compelled Alexandra to drink her blood every day and forget about it. Only Anna, Harper and Emily knew Alexandra was drinking vampire blood.

On the 24th of September Damon escorted Alexandra to the Founder's Ball. Only because Stefan escorted Katherine and his father insisted. Alexandra tried to tell him about the baby then. Hoping they could at least be on talking terms for the baby's sake.

But he was to focused on Katherine and Stefan. Hardly paid Alexandra any attention, he didn't even go after her when she had to run to the bathroom to be sick. Harper found her crying and comforted her. He was a vampire, turned by Pearl and cared for Alexandra as a sister. He took her home, before leaving to join Pearl.

The next day was the battle of Willow Creek. William told Alexandra to remain inside, before leaving with her brothers to fight. But she had seen Damon heading for the church with Stefan and decided it was time to tell him about the baby. Damn the consequences. Except when she followed him and his brother. She saw them be shot.

She had screamed in horror and ran to them. Wanting to help, praying they wouldn't die. Except Giuseppe shot her, thinking she was a vampire sympathizer also or a vampire. Killing her and her unborn child. She woke up in a coffin scared. Anna found her and took her somewhere safe. Where she explained about vampires and gave Alexandra a day light necklace. Pearl had Emily make for her.

Alexandra was not going to complete the transition. She wanted to die and be reunited with her dead baby and mother. But fate didn't work out that way. She ended up drinking human blood and completing her transition. She turned off her humanity so she didn't have to feel her pain anymore and left with Anna. Who showed her how to live as a vampire.

She had her humanity off for twenty years. Only spent five years with Anna before ditching her. Tired of the younger girls judgement. Anyway she ended up in New Orleans, where she meet Elijah Mikaelson. Who saw a broken lost girl, who needed help. So he helped her. Got her her humanity back, taught her how to fed without killing and helped her get through the grief of what happened in 1864.

Alexandra stayed in New Orleans until 1901. When Klaus undaggered Kol. Who reminded her to much of Damon. So she decided to explore the world instead. But kept in touch with Elijah. Until she reunited with Anna, then she and Elijah lost contact.

In 1983 Anna and Alexandra were in Chicago. Where they saw Katherine. Alexandra wanted to kill her. But Anna stopped her. Knowing she was no match for Katherine. Who was over three centuries older then her. They left Chicago and went to New York.

Now it's 2009. Anna and Alexandra are back in Mystic Falls to free her mother from the tomb. After her 145 years of captivity. They arrived the night of the comet and watched it together at the falls. Anna turned Logan and Ben into vampires. But Logan died again not long after. Not that it mattered, they learned what they needed from him.

(Present) Alexandra's POV

"Alexa, remember the plan" Anna tells me as I drive us to the library. I had shorten my name along with Annabelle. As they sort this time more then our birth names.

"I made the plan Anna, of course I remember it" I remind her.

"I made the plan" she argues.

"No, you choose the target. Your original plan sucked" I correct her. "Now, lets go meet a Gilbert" I say and we go into the library. We spot Jeremy Gilbert and got into position. As he looked for a book, Anna 'accidentally' knocked some books over.

"Oh my god. I am so sorry" Anna says going around to the opposite of the shelf. "There was this one book wedged between the other, and so I pulled and then kaplunk, kaboom" she explains. "Are you ok?" she asks him.

"Yeah, I'm fine" he assured her. I watched as they both kneel down to pick up the books at the same time and knock into each other's heads. I suppress a giggle.

"Ahh! I'm Anna" she tells him holding a hand out. Jeremy laughs lightly rubbing his head. Before shaking her hand.

"I'm Jeremy" he tells her.

"Honestly Anna, why are you such a klutz?" I ask coming out from behind the shelf.

"It was an accident" she mutters as they pick up the books.

"You hurt kid?" I ask Jeremy.

"I'm fine, the name's Jeremy" he tells me.

"Alexa, this one's older half sister" I tell him. "Need help finding something?" I ask him. Once they finished picking the books up.

"Looking for books on local history" he states.

"We know where those are, follow me" I tell him. I lead him and Anna to the right aisle. "This aisle is local and state history. And Civil War is one over" I explain pointing to the aisle next to us.

"What do you need?" Anna asks Jeremy curious.

"Local. 1860s" he answers her. Then looks at me. "Do you work here?" he asks me.

"God no, just spend a lot of time in libraries" I tell him. "Helping this one study" I add nodding to Anna. As we walk down the aisle.

"Home schooled. I study here for a mock-school environment" Anna tells him. "Ah, here we go. Original settlers, town archives, Founders' stuff. It's all here. So, what's your topic?" she asks Jeremy curious.

"The town's fear and hysteria surrounding the war and how it influenced certain writers of the time" he states.

"Interesting topic, you might want to focus it a little though" I tell him.

"The origin of local folklore and myth" he states.

"You mean, the vampires?" Anna asks as we smile at each other.

"You're kidding me, right? There's no such thing as vampires" Jeremy tells her.

"Well, there's not a lot of documentation, but the stories have been told since the Civil War. My granddad used to tell me all these creepy stories when I was little. And he said that his granddad told them to him and I told them to Anna" I tell him.

"Yeah, that would be folklore. Vampires are a metaphor for the demons of the day" Jeremy tells us confidentially.

"Which are?" Anna asks him.

"The union soldiers! I've read the stories myself. They talk about the enemy, the demons that attack at night" Jeremy states.

"That sounds like vampires to me" Anna tells him.

"And me" I add.

"Allegorical vampires. Which is what it is. Creative expression during a very volatile time. I mean, a country at war doesn't want realism. They want fantasy. Thus, vampire fiction" Jeremy explains. I used to believe it was fiction myself, until I died with my unborn child.

"Man, you're smart. I gotta give it to you; when I first saw you, I missed it" Anna tells him.

"Yeah. I've had a rough go of it lately, but I'm just now getting back to my old self" he tells us.

"Well, good luck on your paper. We have to get home" I tell him.

"She's right" Anna agrees. "You know, Alexa's great grandfather actually showed her a journal once of an ancestor of hers. He had written all of this creepy stuff about vampires. It was actually really believable" she tells him.

"Wait. A journal?" he asks intrigued.

"Yeah, why?" we ask him.

"Are you sure you have to go?" he asks us.

"Tell you what, lets go to the Grill. Food and drinks on me" I tell him.

"Sounds great" he says with a smile.

(Time skip)

We're at the grill. Anna and Jeremy playing pool. While I drink a rum and coke watching them. As well as keeping watch as Anna talked to him. I look at the time and catch Anna's eyes. "Yeah. Look, I really gotta go. Nice meeting you, Jeremy" she tells him. She joins me and we left the grill.

"It's up to you now Anna, don't fail us" I tell her.

"I won't" she assures me. We go hunt. Before returning to our apartment, where Ben and Noah were waiting. We all catch up before calling it a night.
